Though, I hope that it has untouched IME keyboard like the stock rom. I hate hate my roommate's Samsung stock keyboard and other android keyboards. And, I hope it still has the My ATT app, becuase I do not have unlimited data and need that app to keep track >_>;

AT&T Data usage Widget
I have to agree, that little bugger has saved me $. If you lost all the other AT&T bloat great, but that really needs to stay!

Go Task!
Nice to see Task is almost done with his ROM!
Will download an install once its available
Thanks
looking fwd to seeing it Task
Any news here?
Is this ROM going to resemble a Galaxy tab since Galaxy is the title?
(And I know you have done so much work on the G tab)
Do you expect to have a 'spare parts' type of app to enable or disable things like the tablet status bar hide feature?
Good news from Task!
Thanks for the update Task
Can you include the latest version of Polaris Office please?
I tried to install the flashable zip you did for the Galaxy Tab but its not working for me.
Thanks!

Yeah I plan on trying to add as much as possible from my galaxy tab roms bro. Just trying to rid as much bloat as possible right now. HTC Sense is a hog!!!

Oh. I see. Thanks for the clarification.
I am a sense fanboy, despite its hogness. I'm sure your Rom will open the jetstream closer to its full potential, but I am looking to stay with the sense UI, personally. That's why i bought jetstream, not a galaxy tab.
testing...testing and more testing
I am testing Task's ROM, only has a few bugs to work out and none of them are show stoppers.
I will post some additional notes later.
Russ
+1 I agree with Typhoonikan
I like alot what HTC has done with sense, I like it so much that I sold my Galaxy Tab to get the Jetstream!
I know Task can help have a better and faster experience with Sense.

Awesome. I didn't know you were one of the testers. Yeah that one is just the basic version. Once I fix the bugs you mentioned in the log I'm going to add a bunch of things that should push it pretty good. I'm definitely going to keep sense but try to thin it out a little so that it doesn't hog as much of the resources and speed the whole rom up.

INTRODUCTION:
__________________________________________________
Hello XDA.. Welcome to another project by me, the Custom Stock ROM 5.0 Edition- Codename: "Eternity". After a long period of waiting and as most of you have known me from my ICS ROM Thread, basically it's a simple looking Stock Rom with some new features and apps added to this ROM that the original firmware don't have and it feels a lot better and faster. Lots of bugs has been fixed, and I have made a lot of visual changes in 5.0 Edition. I feel that this is what Samsung should have done on our lovely device. I hope you will have a great time enjoying with this new release. If you enjoy my work, please spread the word around about this ROM.
*Before using this ROM, please read the whole post.
*This thread will be updated with new infos.
Things To Remember:
1. The best way to start is not by posting, it is by reading. Read, search, read, search. If you read an answer that looks helpful or answers a question you might have, bookmark it, and when you see someone else ask that question you will have the answer for them plus a supporting link.
2. Courtesy towards other Members: Treat new members the way you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instruction when you can and always with respect and courtesy. Never post in a demanding, argumentative, disrespectful or self-righteous manner.
3.When you post something here, many people will see it and possibly post a reply that might be perceived as funny but not extremely helpful, or trolling. This is mostly due to questions that have been asked and answered a thousand times, threads/posts being in the wrong forum/thread, or not providing enough info. This is usually meant as good-natured kidding, so please don't take it wrongly and snap off a reply that escalates the situation into something you might regret later.
4. Do not use abusive language: Example: "wtf", "f***ing", etc... Please do not use bold or bigger fonts. It is against all forum rules.
5. Post using a clear message: You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question if you use a message that describes your problem and explain in detail what your problem is and what you've tried to solve it.
6. Search before posting: Use the search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
7. Press the
button: Don't just say thanks, press it.. It's free and easy.
8. Vote and Rate my thread: As it will help me keep this development alive.
*Flash this ROM at your own risk, do a backup first because you will lose all your datas.
*I am not responsible if your device breaks or turn into hardware failures.
*I will not answer if you have install any mods from other threads or roms/firmwares which will cause big issues and bugs on your device. Please refer to the original providing thread instead.
FAQs:
Q: Is this ROM 100% lockscreen lag free?
A: It is being reduced. You can still see 1 or 2 lags.
Q: How do I flash this ROM?
A: Please refer to the Installation Procedures.
Q: How is the battery life?
A: It can last a day of usage if you are not a gaming type of person.
Steps in preserving the battery:
1. You may want to uncheck some unused feature in Google Now settings. Example: Weather, Traffic. This cause heavy usage on battery life.
2. Uncheck Backup my Phone in Settings/Privacy.
3. Uncheck Automatic date and time in Settings/Date and time.
4. Uncheck WiFi notification in WiFi/Advance setting.
5. Set the Brightness Slider to a minimum and uncheck the Auto Brightness.
6. If you are using the Information Ticker and Weather Widgets, please set the refresh rate to 2 hours or more.
You may also want to practice the 2-3 discharge cycles to get good battery life.
7. Do not use Task Killer apps. Using these apps will waste even more battery life. Let android system do its ram killing.
8. If you using Juice Defender or Green Power apps, some users experience better battery life without these apps, so the best solution is to test them by yourself.
9. When exiting an app, do not simply press the home button. This will make the app not closing properly.
Thus, waste your battery life. Use the back button continuously until you reach the homescreen.
*Tips: The Best Way to Calibrate SGS2 Battery
ram3n said:
Guys,
Here is, I do think, an interesting topic about the famous eternal question :
"Please, tell me how to calibrate my f*** battery?!".
To begin with, here are some (fresh) news :
You have to know that our dear brand-new device uses new specific MAX17042 drivers which actually don't allow us to normally "calibrate" the battery as many of us could have imagined.
I quote Entropy512 :
Unlike HTC devices, battery calibration doesn't apply to our devices.
Google MAX17040 for more info - while our fuel gauge chip (MAX17042) does have advanced features that would require calibration if used, those features are not yet enabled and it basically behaves identically to a 17040. Maxim specifically designs their fuel gauge chips to not require special calibration procedures..
Click to collapse
I mean here that using such applications like Battery Calibration (or anything else), or manually delete Batterystats.bin in data/system folder, or even wipe batterystats in recovery, all theses methods are actually .... useless and a waste!
In fact, the only effect you will notice by doing (deleting) it, is that you'll reset your usage stats in the Android battery usage screen. Nothing else, sorry.
The only current way I've found up to now, is to force the internal chip to do it and therefore reset the fuel-gauge.
Here is a very simple method. Keep in mind that's not the only way :
BTW, no root needed here
1. Turn off your phone.
2. Fully Charge.
3. When getting 100% signal, unplug quickly.
4. Pull off the battery and put it anywhere.
5. Wait for 180 seconds exactly (be careful )
6. Meanwhile, take this opportunity to dust off the internal compartment.
7. Put back the battery on the right side.
8. Turn on the phone.
9. Pray the Battery god
10. ... and voilà !
After that, you can make some cycle of fully charge/discharge to ~15/20% TO complete the method
I am pleased to share my experience about it.
Hope it could help most of people,
Cheers

MY GUIDE TO BATTERY.
Its different for every user so its hard, you may use apps that i don't so its no good deleting them, after all there is no point having good battery if you can't and don't enjoy your phone because you daren't have a certain app on your phone because it might use battery.
Or your struggling to see the screen because you have turned brightness off and put filter apps on.
So lets get one thing straight, yes you can save more battery than "my way" but i refuse to gimp my phone or use monitoring apps to analyze every little thing.
I will not undervolt or underclock because i bought an S2 and want to use its performance, i don't want a Galaxy mini that looks like an S2!
Remember, if a phone is gimped to half its speed it will take twice as long to do a job!
Don't use task killer apps, they are no good!
Use common sense, don't touch system apps if you don't know what they are.
For an example i only have 92 system apps left out of about 145 on JB lite after deleting what i don't need, and you could do more than that but you need to be very careful!
1st timers freeze apps instead of deleting just incase you make a mistake!
First get link2sd https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...m.buak.Link2SD
or similar app and "debloat" remove useless/unused apps)
For me that would be things like all Samsung apps like samsung sync adapter, allshare, remote control apps, enterprise apps, software update apps, gmail, google+, gtalk etc..
I delete Touchwiz and samsung keyboard also because i use Launcher Pro and Swiftkey.
*Remember to install other launcher and keyboard before deleting stock ones:thumbup:*
This might be of some help, but be careful, don't delete if you don't know what it is!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=34465832
List of what apps are ok to remove and what it does http://bo.lt/i8igz
Look in running and cached apps to see what is always there and if you don't use it, lose it!
Another good app for clearing out rubbish and duplicates (amongst other things) that other apps miss is sdmaid, https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....thedarken.sdm
give your phone a good clean everyday or 2! £1.19p full version i think but well worth it!
Go to settings, turn off haptic feedback and turn vibration levels right down/off (if you don't use vibrate).
Turn brightness to a low comfortable level, for me thats about 20 %.
Turn auto brightness off (common sense tells me it must be analyzing ambient light levels every second the screen is on, therefore using resources!)
Go to settings - Location and uncheck all 3 boxes until needed.
Use dark wallpapers, the more black the better! http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1631228
Turn syncing of email and notifications in xda, facebook, twitter etc off and just do it manually.
Apps like facebook, google+ and twitter, do you really need them?
If you only go on there occasionally then delete the apps and bookmark the site!
If you have poor signal then go to the modem + RiL thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=31416701
and find a good modem but on JB most modems are incompatible so check that it works on JB with someone first, but if you are on ICS then go and do it.
Lastly Gemini, https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...droid.gmappmgr
all the apps you were checking that were running like Maps etc, things you don't want to delete can be set to not start up at boot.
Go to settings and tick "force expert mode" then go through all your apps and all that have autostarts will have a little orange "auto" symbol.
Press the desired app and you will see "configure autostarts".
When you press that you will see all the instances in which that particular app will start up.
Here's where you are on your own depending on what apps you have so this is where you will need common sense on what to turn off.
As a general rule, turn off "on boot completed" on all your user apps, (apps you have downloaded yourself) but again there might be an exception depending what apps you have.
Be careful with system apps but Maps are the main offender which you can turn off.
(Turn all OFF , apart from 3rd one down and the 2 at the bottom ON) like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=29420959
YOUTUBE is the only app i have come across that doesn't like not being able to autostart so leave that one alone.
OK, now you are set upintall BBS http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=15869886
You can now keep an eye on what apps or processes are draining your battery.
Open it up, press menu/options from top right corner and go to advanced and check the "root features" box.
If you are having something keep your phone awake for excessive amounts of time the make a dump and post it in BBS thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=15869886
Make sure it is at least 4 hours long and phone has been untouched in that period. Someone will help you find the causes and keep them to a minimum
That is basically everything i do, so as long as you use common sense you should be fine.
A big thankyou to Salesale for these excellent ROMs he keeps coming out with
Remember, your phone is for using and enjoying, not being treated like a fragile egg and being scared to use it in case it uses battery!
As long as it lasts from when you wake till you sleep or get home (10 ~16 hours) then that is all you need! charge it overnight and ready to go again when you wake:thumbup:
Better than hardly touching it and getting 24 - 30 hours and it running out halfway through the next day!

If you have any other better advice or solutions on battery life, please share it in here.
Q: Is there a brick bug or Exynos Exploit in this ROM?
A: No, there isn't any of these bugs present. So, it is safe to use.
Q: How do I solve unlock SIM card?
A: You can use Galaxy SIM unlock or you may try here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35096670&postcount=277
Q: My signal bar is not good. What can i do?
A: You may want to try flashing modems that works for you previously.
Q: My device is not waking up when I press the power or the home button key. What should I do?
A: Since I do not have this issue during my few test, try installing the ROM again. Or try to download the ROM again. Make sure you read the Installation Procedure below.
Q: I get the following error "Couldn't install on USB Storage or SD card" when trying to restore apps. What can i do?
A: Remove SD Card, install the misbehaving apps, then you reinsert SD card.
Q: AOSP Lockscreen crashes and reboot itself when I slide to unlock my device. What's happening?
A: There are conflicting apps you have installed that causes these bug. The issue with the AOSP lock screen is to do with popup notify apps using the accessability service to monitor apps.
Q: Can I apply themes into this ROM from other threads?
A: I have not tested it. You may lose some of the things in the ROM as the themes will overwrites the system/apps. Try it at your own risk. Always do a backup before attempting .
Q: Why are some of my apps FCs everytime I open them?
A: Some apps might not yet JB compatible.
Q: I want to dowload apps from Google Playstore i get a message that say's " Your phone is not compatible with this version" Any sugestions?
A: Try clearing cache/data for Play Store and Google Service Framework and Download Manager see if that helps.
Q: Is this ROM good for daily usage?
A: Yes, it is for daily usage, but as JB is in early development stage, bugs and errors is to be expected here and there. I will try my best to minimise these bugs and errors in the near future.
Q: Is this ROM multi-dpi? Can I change to 200 dpi?
A: I have not done this before. I may not be able to tell you. Try it at own risk. Always do a backup before attempting .
Q: Can I underclock/overclock and dual-boot with this kernel/ROM?
A: You can only underclock with this kernel. There is no dual boot feature yet.
Q: I experience over heating; that is I can feel the heat from the back of my device without doing anything. Why is this?
A: There are some apps which is running on background, trying to do updates and locations and it requires an amount of your 3G data.
Q: Which kernel is better?
A: Read below in the Warning Section.
*To monitor your Battery life, please use the Better Battery Stats App.
Info:
As some of you may or may not like it, this ROM has the carrier label on the statusbar.
I urge the users to stick with it as this is the only ROM with the carrier label on the statusbar trademark.
You will not find this on any other ROMs.
For Developers Only:
If you would like to use something from this ROM or one who has porting knowledge and would like to port this ROM to i777 or i9100P,
contact me in PM. Thanks.
Warning:
If you wish to install other kernels, you may try Philz kernel, Siyah Kernel(Beta) or Dorimanx kernel. Please download and run the GS2kernelwipe before installing these kernels.
You have to test it which works best for you.
For undervolting with Jeboo kernel v1.3, use an app like SetCPU or Voltage Control.
I advise you to undervolt 1 step at a time to test for stable result.
Some phones may not be able to undervolt and some can go -100mhv on each step.
If your device freezes or gets too hot due to too much undervolting, reboot to recovery. There is an option to reset the voltage.
**Please do not try to install any mods from other threads or roms/firmwares into this ROM as this will create big issues and bugs on yr device.
I will not reply to your posts if you have done these. You have been warned.
For this ROM:
If you want to make this ROM better and if you have any ideas, suggestions are always welcome. Please do not ask for themes.
I will take in request for icons if you can provide the links to the icons that you liked.

ABOUT THE ROM:
__________________________________________________
Since version 1.0, the Custom Stock ROM has been based on the original Stock Samsung ROM builds. This makes a combination of performance and new features directly to your device as well as keeping it close to stock theme.
Some of the things that were tweaked with mods, scripts and apps in the previous versions are now included by default in this new ROM.
I would recommend to try this ROM. No obligations. Feel free to give your feedbacks about this ROM.
There will be more to come in the future versions, so for now, let's enjoy this release and hope to hear good things from you.

Hi Maanz,
Already said thanks in previous post when I used your Rom in 2 days, but just have to say THANKS again. I use this rom now over a week and battery life is very good, can go over a day with normal use, no FC's ,all is working like expected and very stable rom as you stated. This was done as my wife will be using it from now on(since I get my Note2 in a week) and I needed a "WAF"-rom (Wife Approval Factor)
This is by far the best rom I've used giving only the most needed extras and still have excellent stability, greatly appreciate your time and effort. You probably not gonna work on a Note 2 rom for me?
Gonna try the Revolution HD for note2(heard also stable)

Haha, funny thing, in my case I needed a "SAF"-rom (Sister Approval Factor). This one is in my opinion not wife/sister proof yet, I ended up putting maanz's other rom, Custom Stock Rom 2.1, which is ICS and super duper stable. If you hear any complains from the wife, go with that one for a bug free JB we just have to wait a little more

Hey Guys,
Just for info Maanz is working really hard on fixing a few minor visual bugs in the new version. I can say I have been testing it and its amazing for performance and battery life plus all the silly extra spaces and stuff in dialer after hangup which sammy should have fixed Maanz has done. It has been no easy task but Mannz is a perfectionist and will only release the new version when its 100% good so we can all enjoy it start getting very excited as this new version is awesome !

Ok, I have installed this for the wife and she's very pleased and I can vouch that the "phone once-always" bug is gone when rom upgraded.
@Ipmanwck..I did install the circle battery mod alone for wife and still no bug of the "once-always".
So far no bugs to report, all is running smooth for a day..didn't tinker yet where the other guys mention bugs, but normal email works fine, actually all is tested fine, except gps which I'm doing today.
Kudo's to the oke who made the video of installing rom in main page,is it you ipmanwck?..anyhow..I use that method with all my phones and is considered a norm for me,except I format internal sd everytime(really love a clean start, less errors to none found)..
Yet again,my wife is running brilliantly stock and me not,Oh I wish Maanz could do that for the N7105's..by the way is there a way I can have the lockscreen torch function on my note2,my wife is so stoked about the simplicity of how to enable torch with the home button(this must be built into samsung stock)

About
When Samsung offically release Note 8's 4.4.2, I knew that we won't be getting all new goodies from their latest flagship phones (Note 3, S5, etc),
but soon realizing they did not even bother to add Note 3 Spen air feature, I was pissed off, so disappointed.
What a journey! Days and hours of working on it, debugging, troubleshooting, decompiling/recompiling framework-res files, and re-doing all the steps over again.
Countless bootloops, countless restore, at one point when I was about to give up, I made little progres, that made me keep going...
It was around about the same time I started new thread called "PORTED APPS ~~] From S5, Note3, Tab Pro, S4, etc" a while back.
Behind idea of that thread was to test and see if any of new ported Note 3, S4, S5 apps would work on our Note 8's 4.4.2, but again we found out many of them did not work.
While I was busy getting all Note 3/S5 ported apps to work on our Note 8, @edan1979 kicked initial spen air stuff port- an early alpha stage.
and then I started to looking Note 3's S-Pen Air (with Air Command Feature) more closely, I knew that it has something to do with framework files. and then I run into @Mikyno's
Galaxy Note 10.1 thread, so I invited him over to Note 8's "PORTED APPS ~~] From S5, Note3, Tab Pro, S4, etc" thread, I like to officially thank Mikyno for being so kind and willing to help us even if he did not
have Note 8 tablet. I also like to thank @edan1979 for being persistence, and putting up initial alpha release.
Taking DN3 (Ditto Note 3) and Dr.Ketan Custom ROMV8 N3's framework files as my base working folder, I got all spen air stuff inserted back to Note 8's framework files (CivZ-FLEXNOTE-8.0_Rev1.5 as base ROM). This had been quite nightmare, considering I am not experienced developer so what I was doing was trial and error, but finally all the pieces come together without conflicting each other, and spen air stuff started to work the way it should be..

General information
I did NOT "re-invent the wheel", It is E-Team is who is actually responsible of having all the Galaxy Note 3 features working perfectly in Galaxy Note 2 devices (titooo7, slink_59, arsaw, funky_81, ravijani,
sotmax, RevengeDevTeam). Once they had working spen air stuff, rest is history; it spreaded like wild-fire and many ROMs included spen air stuff to their ROMs (even 3 year old S3 got it).
This one is based on that and DN3 (Ditto Note 3) ROM from E-team, and Dr.Ketan Custom ROMV8 Note II.

* This port only works with CivZ-FLEXNOTE-8.0_Rev1.5 ROM - GT-N5110 - do NOT attempt to use if you are on Rev1.6. -- see the post #2 below

Install Instructions:
HURRRAAAAAAY! FINALLY WE HAVE FLASH-ABLE CWM ZIP FILE! SEE THE POST#2 FOR DOWNLOAD
DID YOU READ THE TITLE? IT SAYS GT-N5110, USING IT ANY OTHER NOTE 8 MODEL, YOU ARE IN RISK CRASHING OR BOOTLOOPING YOUR TABLET.
THIS IS NOT FLASHABLE ZIP FILE. REPEATING; NOT FLASHABLE ZIP, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLASH IT TO YOUR TABLET.
You may gonna ask; "..then why are you posting this here if it is not flashable?", It is because I am excited and like share with community.
Most likely there's going to be a flashable versions near future. In addition, civato may able to integreted this port in to his ROM (cross your fingers), so this port may come as default feature of next version of CivZ-FLEXNOTE-8.0 ROM.
Now, let's talk about real instructions:
When you download Note 3's S-Pen Air (with Air Command Feature) for Note 8, and unzip it to your desktop, you should see following folders listed below. I simply copied all the stuff out of my tablet from last two days work,
I just wanted to make sure this package includes all the spen stuff nothing missed (possibly some extra stuff included that may or may not needed).
Needless to say, using Root Explorer, you can copy them back to your tablet and give right permission 0644 rights the files.
However, you canNOT copy framework files directly to your table, so you need to create a simple flashable zip file and include them into to your flashable zip and flash it as first step, and make sure your tablet reboots fine,
and then start copying remaining files back to your tablet.
-app
-framework
-etc/permission
-csc
-lib
-priv-app
-media
-VODB
Final Note:
I know this is painful manual-intensive process, and because of that easy to make mistake since you manually getting all these files into your tablet, it takes time and patient (a lot), so take it slow, make sure you got all the files in the right place with right permissions.
when copying files back to your tablet using your root explorer, it may asks you if overwrite the file(s), it is because the file(s) maybe already included, but mirror what I have on my tablet, I would say go head overwrite,
after all you have nandroid backup, don't ya? if something goes wrong, you can always restore it back and start over.
Good luck!:good:

Issues/Bugs:
I am not sure if this is a limitation or not or something missed and I am hesitant to call this a "bug", but here you go;
*
To bring up spen air window again, you need to either insert the pen to pen holder and remove it or use Air Command Shortcut from Play store (it is free).
Obviously, Note 3 has additional settings in Settings, which Note 8 does not have all that, maybe that additional spen settings from Note 3 can be back ported
to Note 8's Settings, this could resolve - all these assumption, so don't know at this point.
Anyway, this is NOT a showstopper, it does not bothers me at all.
Know Issues/Bugs:
For some reason when open Google Chrome browser, it causes soft-reboot, I can't really related this issue with this port as both are two different thing.
For now, please use Google Chrome beta.
When Reading Mode turned on and if you define to use for apps, such Google Play Books, Moon Reader, and open this apps, causes soft-reboot.
Of course, as relase indicates this is first public release, there could be some tiny issue or bugs there, but so far I am testing it for last couple days I have not run into any issue nor bugs.

Good work. Unfortunately I will have to wait for a flashable made for rev 1.6 since I don't know how to make one myself to flash the said framework files.
Looks like it's integrated into civ's Flexnote thanks civato as well!
I have a test version for the Rev1.6 rom, it is a flashable but I still need to figure some things out. "flashbar" stops responding , I need to find what app is causing this. If I do a naked installation (no samsung extra apps from aroma) there is no problem so it is some app causing it.
I hope to integrate it into the next rom update rev1.7.

That's indeed very good news, there' no way this can be as stand-alone port since it depends on moded-framework files, it is better to integrated into the ROM itself is the way to go :fingers-crossed:

This package is also included in the next release of my KK rom rev1.7.
Don't forget to thank jazzespresso as he did most of the work making this work.

Thank you. Working on a GTN5120.

I am confused, what you meant by 'extract'???
I mean pulling out the pen.
In the set-up section related to s-pen you can get the Popup Note when you pull out the pen.
I think it would be nice to get the Air Command Feature instead, don't you?
You are right about not having a lot of developers for thistablet and we are all pleased and greatfull of anything that you throw our way. This is a great tablet and I just don't get why the lack of Devs. Thanks again.

Download Air Command shortcut app and S Pen Launcher app from Play Store. Set S Pen Launcher app to auto open Air Command shortcut when SPen is detached. Done.
thanks!

I've been playing with the mod a bit and it works pretty well. Nice job so far. I'm wondering what functionality is being worked on currently?
Noticed when ejecting the S-Pen I can hover and hold the button and the air command menu will pop up. However, if I close the menu and then try to do it again it will not open until I holster the pen and eject it again. ***NM...i see this mentioned in the OP...sorry. I do see there is a rom posted that has the air command in settings. Wonder if civ will add that in v1.7.
Also, is there any way to add more apps to the pen window function?
Tnx alot for this awesome mod!
I flashed it on my tab (n5100) everything was alright except when i trying to disable flight mode! It didn't disabled! I haven't any antenna and connection!I reboot my tab and wipe, didn't work! So I don't crying because of my backup! but what did happened for my tab? Wifi and gps was normal if you thinking about my modem! anybody can help me! I wanna try again to flash this port.

There's additional spen option settings in Note 3's Settings (looking at my Note 3's Pen Detachment options), so that needs to be added to Civato's ROM's SecSettings.apk, if that could be added, it may probably work and may no longer need spen air short cut apk (3rd part app that I included)...
Maybe near future or maybe Civato can able to update SecSettings.apk and add this additional spen settings like Note 3, but no grantee...
This is, if you play enough, near identical port of Note 3 spen air...like you said, it is working perfect, no FCs or anything...

I believe you talking about Airplane Mode, right? It works perfectly fine on my Note 8, but mine is 5110, so I am afraid not much help I can give you other than if you know how to get catlog...
Another recommendation is start fresh, means wipe everything, fresh re-install the ROM and reboot, check all good, and back reboot in to recovery and flash this mod, and see if still having issue.
Is there any way to add more apps to the pen window function or is this something maybe civ will have to work on for us?
Samsung Pixel Experience PBy CodeFox & OpenSauce9810
What is this?
This is a Semi Generic System Image. That means it's a generic system image that's been optimised as much as possible for our Samsung Devices. This is what differentiates this rom from the one you can find in the Project Treble Forum. I also plan to provide regular updates and improvements very frequently. I'm aiming for weekly if not more.
Why not Rainbow_Dash?
We're a part of the same team and he's taking a break from developing for the moment, so I'm going to do my best to support you with regular updates and support where possible. So his previous version should be considered redundant.
How the heck do I flash this?
It's slightly different than flashing a zip, so here's what you need to do.
Download the image file
Flash the ARH6 Vendor Image to your Vendor Partion from TWRP (Press the Install Image button at the bottom right of where you usually select a flashable zip)
Flash the System Image to your System Partition
Optional if you want root (but reccomended): Reboot to recovery again then flash your choice of Magisk. I use 17.1 as I can get galaxy wear to work with that version.
Reboot your device and you should be good to go! No need to flash gapps as they're included.
What's different to the PE in project treble forum?

I notice that you haven't added known issues to the op? Are you waiting on further testing? Would be useful to have.
Thank you for the rom btw. And thanks to the entire opensauce9810 team. Very much appreciated
MANY THANKS, rom looks awesome!! My screen brightness is set to 100% however it looks like it is on 15% I can hardly see stuff on my screen, is there a way to increase brightness with build prop or something?
UPDATE
Never mind established it was the universal ctsprofile: false that I installed

You need to enable the extended brightness range in phh settings too under Samsung. Will let your screen go brighter

Thanks is there a way to pass ctsProfile in magisk? It remains falls.
Since my Note 9 is still on it's way and I'm on a S9 now I have a simple question.
In 8.1 AOSP ROM's IMS services and the Iris scanner don't work. Do they work on this ROM? And if Iris scanner doesn't work, can we still use biometric unlocking? I hate fingerprint scanner so on the rear as I use wallet cases and can't easily reach it.
I believe smart lock face unlock does not work. I added my face to it but I'm unable to 'improve face matching'. It simply says cannot start finding your face. And nothing happens when I try to unlock my phone using face unlock either.
Other than that, the typing feels a bit slower than stock Samsung roms. Not sure if it's the touch response or what. I disabled the haptic feedback for the keyboard but it still seems a bit slower. Could be just me though..
Apart from these issues, rom is definitely a daily driver so hats off to the entire team

Download hideprops in Magisk downloads. Reboot to initialise it. then download a terminal emulator from the playstore and type the command "props" without the quotes.
Grant SU to the terminal
then pick edit fingerprint. Select Samsung, and choose the s9+ fingerprint (number 22 I think). Reboot and then CTS will pass.

Iris Scanner will never work in an AOSP Rom. The libs are proprietary to Samsung experience roms.

Yeah it's a little quirk with GSI's unfortunatley. The vibration motor causes somewhat of a delay when typing. Turning off haptic feedback completely seems to make it normal for me. I've gotten used to typing without haptic feedback now haha.

I noticed that you mentioned in the OP that you use Galaxy wear?
A bit OT but is there a way to use the Gear with different roms without having the Gear being reset every time? It just seems to get reset every time I pair with it on a new rom.

I wish there was, I'm so sick of having to reset it I literally use my watch just as a watch most of the time because I'm flashing new builds so often. It's a pain in the neck and I don't know why Samsung did it this way, it's frustrating.
Hi #CodeFox thanks for your work I want to ask you something, I know that the answer will be absolutely no but I loved to give it a try
Can you please make a pixel experience p ROM for Samsung galaxy j4
Awesome
Can't wait to try this

MANY THANKS, worked like a dream and passed!
Hi all,
Will Dolby atmos work?
Hi there,
great ROM. Flashed it today and so far everything looks very good.
Just tried out the camera and found a weird bug:
When taking videos (front and back camera), the screen flashes green about every second during recording. The video itself is not affected.
Seems to happen for every camera app.
Any way to fix this?
Been using this rom for a week now and it has been great and runs like a dream now I have set it up.
It is not posted here in Note 8 so this is just a post to point it out for others to find and try.
Pixel apps and theming but based on oneui system and is kept updated.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...t/rom-horizonpixelui-v1-0-2020-07-07-t4130031
I only use the notification from the goodlock apps.
I also made sure the Samsung keyboard was selected in settings so I can use the pen and I prefer Samsung keyboard.
I also use FNG app from play store which gives me the navigation gestures I like.

Give feedback here if you want but please do it on the thread as well. I have nothing to do with this rom just making sure everyone gets to see it.
