So i got the phone and it has android 6. So i saw i can update to 7, so here is the question about battery life: IS it better to leave android 6 and use xposed modules like greenify and few others to optimize battery, or its better to install 7 and cant use xposed optimization?

is up to you but with my 2 weeks on Nougat i can tell you: without Xposed and Greenify, Amplify etc i can get more than i have in Marshmallow with all of that apps so...
my experience show Nougat is better than Marshmallow even without that apps.

i dont know what you trying to say/do but i think if you are in v10c you are in Lollipop and not Marshmallow, and if you have TWRP yes you can do a backup...but i dont know if you can restore it after Nougat since is 2 years difference and they maybe dont will work restoring...

Just got a 5X (in the US). I would like to use the fingerprint reader (so probably limited to stock ROM?) but would also like to use Xposed if possible,
Could someone recommend a ROM to flash? Or can I put Xposed on stock ROM at this time?

Awesome, thanks!
Anyone idea if it will play nice with the Marshmallow update?
And in general what are everyone's impressions of the update? Is it better than the 5.1 stock, or are there bugs?

That's great! My wife has a 5X running the 5.1 stock, rooted but not modified in any other way. I assume the OTA is seamless in terms of not messing up existing apps/accounts/data/settings etc?
I don't want to run the update for her if it's going to cause any issues.

it'll work as long as it repartitions with the new PIT file, which is included in the CSC tar.md5.
Downloading as we speak. It's weird how they reverted the releases to XXU in MM, which has been widely released with XXS. Samsung keeps being strange.
Let the Custom TouchWiz's boom now.

Yes. Flashed TWRP with Odin, and then flashed SuperSU through TWRP.
As for testing...
Butter smooth, even while updating apps, lags are gone.
Good Lock works fine, so does Wanams xposed.
They updated the App Drawer, which i always thought comes within the Launcher, cause, of course, we still have the Lollipop TouchWiz. Also icons are new too.
And finally, SmartManager with a widget.
Anyway, the only main things outdated are TouchWiz and SecSettings.
I think with Good Lock, we avoid needing any custom touching on SystemUI and Framework.
Happy Marahmallow guys, didnt expect it at all.

You can use SamFirm to download the 4 package, just make sure you tick the Binary check box. But people seem to have success with the single file, so you might wanna use that and download from www.updato.com

I'm using the TWRP from Ashyx and the universal SuperSU zip package.
For Xposed, use wanam's version, make sure you get the arm one, which is for 32 bit devices. And a goody for the end, Xposed Installer with Material (has quite a few better things inside)
Great, but why the slow filehosts? 3 hours to download :/

Hi there! So, recently I upgraded to Cyanogenmod 14 from 13 and I also upgraded from Android M to N. I'm not happy with the new update, and I'd like to downgrade back to M and to CM 13. Does anyone know how to do this without bricking the phone? I'd like to not end up with a paperweight. Thank you! Also, I have an LG G4

Nope. This problem will be if you try to downgrade from 7.x.x. Upgrade should be painless. Also you can choose any channel. It will be work, but without ota`s updates.
I`ve installed retus on retcn. All working, except otas. Maybe in oreo smthng changes.
Also remember, you doing at your own risk. If you don`t fully understand what you doing - don`t do it. (Google it before )
