Please suggest custom kernel for 7.1.1 - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi There guys. On 7.1.1 I am having the battery drain issue(1% per hour) which comes along with a stock rooted kernel. I think many of us know this issue from rooting over the past year.
Please can somebody suggest a modded kernel for 7.1.1 . On version 7.0 I was using AndroPlus, which offered excellent battery life. Please can somebody suggest something with similar performance for 7.1.1
Regards
Dean

Hi,
I've also been searching for one, and found this one. Hope it helps.
Regards,
Neorejalist

That was great advice thank you!!! I've now upgraded from 7.0 with Androplus to 7.1.1 with this Green kernel! Can't believe the safety net thing works with this kernel - I could install Netflix and Android Pay with no problem!

help for a good choice from newbie!!

Good evening to all forum..i've just bought this great tablet.
I did all the updates until you get to kitkat pero 'I read that consumes a lot of battery.
I would like some advice on how to fix it, if you go back to the previous update .... ... or put lollipop ??
Considering that I am a beginner and would like to make a few changes

The best version of android for this tablet is 4.3(SGP3xx_10.4.1.B.0.109),great battery life and really smooth. Lollipop just release yesterday so we have to test how it run for the moment.
Hello Borexz ... then back to 4.3 flashtool should I use?
Currently I also customization tim and I would take it off
Could you kindly tell the operations to do to get Android 4.3 Generic and where can I get the firmware right ?.
My model is SGP321
Best regards:good:
I have been using Lollipop and I must say that is the same or better than 4.3.I recommend just flashing lollipop,i downloaded from here and flashed with flashtool:

For now we have to wait for a version for the region, when will be available in XperiFirm.
Not everyone can use without risk of firmware for HK and TW.
I personally will wait for the recommendation of @najoor.
His great review "Xperia Tablet Z: The best stock firmware for power and performance" is impressive.

Hello and welcome to XDA Q&A section of the Forum.
I assume you have some knowledge in the android world of modding (some people don't and some people do) and that you have rooted your phone, here is the thread to the ROM.
Goodluck and hopefully I helped you, if I did, hit "thanks"

True but who likes Samsungs stock ROM any way? It is buggy, full of bloatware and eats your RAM like Google chrome.
May be.but I have hugucrespect for stock ROMs since I experienced all custom ROMs in so many devices.
If you have rooted your stock ROM,Its enough.
And I really love stock samsung and LG ui.

i found a link for cm 12.1 https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/cm12-1-acer-z530-cm12-1-rom-t3390443 , but be wary, if you want this rom, you will need one ****in hell of a patience and also the battery meter stays at 50%, the camera is screwed over (basically), and it always reboots without warning.

Wich rom?

I have 1 question about wich rom is the best. I am looking for an rom with exposed. Priority is nougat but if xposed isnt available it's okay. First... xposed isn't available for nougat yet so that can't be done.
As for ROM I would deffinately say Carhd rom. It's amazing all round. I used it on my G925F for over a year member any issues.
Also alexisROM is another good choice.
Have a search on here and Google for your options.
If you need help with flashing let me know :good:

Shall I put on a custom ROM?

Hello dear Elephants, I'm really honoured to belong here because of my new Elephone S8. I really love the hardware but software is really buggy. So, referring to https://forum.xda-developers.com/elephone-s8/development/rom-elephone-s8-15-10-eragon-1-0-t3689359, is that a good idea to replace the firmware? If some of you is using this ROM, you can also provide me the pros and cons. Many thanks in advance!
If you're familiar with such things, going from stock to custom and back is pretty simple. Why not just give it a test drive?
I'm not so familiar. I've been flashing lots of ROMs in my lifetime but not into this particular device. Which method do I use to flash firmware?
Will I die, if I flash the Eragon ROM from Elephone's firmware update section?
If you're going to run a custom ROM, spending a couple of hours reading through the thread for that ROM might be worth your time, as it will contain the answers to many of your questions and possibly save you from some future troubles.
Thanks! Will do as you say.
I used eragon rom for a few months but the developer has withdrawn from the project and the latest version is not really stable. I had some network problems and some weeks ago I got problems with massive battery drain of about 15% per hour without any heavy usage. The only thing that helped was to go back to stock. Since then I'm on stock rom again and everything is fine now. I don't experience any major differences in performance.
Anyway I hope the developer will continue his work on the S8 and eragon rom in the future, at least if android 8 will be released.
How to revert back to Stock Rom? (From Eragon)

You can download the latest stock version here:
https://bbs.elephone.hk/forum.php?m...ra=page=1&filter=typeid&typeid=151&typeid=151
Unpack the rar file and load the scatter file with flashtool. Be careful which boxes are checked in the list. I accidently deleted all data (including external memory) from the phone because this option was checked by default!
Edit: I have corrected the link above, the first one did not work.
You can also download on Mega with the following link:
