Yes I have that too; Android System using like 25-35% of battery. If you kill all apps and reboot the drain stops.

i am facing issue in the download of this patch in my oneplus2 phone. download stops at 83.1% every time i try. I tried to reboot my mobile and tried to download and i face the same issue. any suggestions to get this patch downloaded?

Any flashable zips with only the radio? Also, have they released yet the kernel sources?

OOS 3.6 doesnt really improve anything on OP2. Its just a lollipop to users as they wont be releasing any further update even after promising Android 7 long ago

Lost Network Connectivity
My cellular network goes offline when I am now connected to wifi. Phone still shows as online though. Did a factory wipe, no luck. Missing a lot of calls because of this.

Serious issues with CM13 on Xiaomi Mi4 - please help!

Hi! I've been reading this forum on and off for few years, but never actually posted. Hope someone here can help me sort out my issue, thanks in advance!
Basically, I've flashed a cm13 via custom recovery on my second phone - Xiaomi Mi4, and I'm having all sorts of issues with it. I bought the phone in China, and for a while
used the stock MIUI interface, but I hated all the bloated apps and weird pop-up advertising, so decided to flash. it was the first time i've attempted it, so it took some
time to figure it out
My two main issues with cm13:
1. It crashes and restarts two/three times daily for me. I mean, I've cleared cache, I basically have no apps on the phone (apart from few messaging apps and facebook).
Is it just because it's an early cm13 build, or it's a nature of custom roms? I'm wondering if switching to a snapshot cm12 build would be better? I don't really care for
android 6 features on this phone that much, I just want a stable experience.
2. The charging became uber slow, painfully so. On MIUI it'd charge to 100% in about 3 hours or so. On cm13 it takes 3-4 hours to get to 30-40%! Never seen anything like
this. Also, if the battery depletes to 0%, the phone wouldn't turn on, even plugged in for charging. It'd turn on after an hour or two into the charging process. Seems weird,
as every other android phone I've owned previously would turn on even with 0% battery if I'm plugged in.
Anyone else experience any of the listed issues? Is it just an early build, or I've done something wrong in the flashing process? I really just want a stable simple os, no advanced
features or whatever, just need it to work
Thanks!
I have been using latest nightly.. No issues no reboot.. Charging time is 3hr

Thanks for reply! Would you mind telling me which gaps you've used for your build? I remember I had some sort of an issue with few gaps
I tried, I think only the smallest package worked for me. Maybe that's the issue and something in the gaps i've installed freezing/rebooting my os?
Thanks

Massive screen-off battery drain with all ROMs

Hello everybody,
about two months ago, I had an issue with my installed ROM on my Redmi Note 2 Prime (I think it was this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3288916 ). I decided to try out another ROM so I installled Bule's Mokee ROM ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/red...nt/rom-cm-12-1-mokee-bule-mokee-blue-t3328382 ). After a few days with this ROM I recognized a big battery drain while screen off so I installed BetterBatteryStats to get some more informations. It told me that about 50-75% of the time my CPU was running at 800mhz instead of deepsleep (at a normal day with about 1-2h of Screen-On-Time). It didn't look to me like something is creating a wakelock though (but maybe I am just unable to see this). I tried the next ROM: Daniel Pinto's CM12.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/development/rom-unofficial-t3310551) and again the same issue! I tried a full wipe of my internal storage, did not install xposed and did not install any titanium backup. The battery drain didn't go away. So i flashed another ROM: SlimMIUI V7.1.3.0 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/development/rom-slimmiui-dev-stable-t3296594 ) and suddenly there was no more screen off battery drain! This went well for about three weeks and now I am facing the old problem again! Please tell me what I am doing wrong since I don't believe it's a ROM-related issue.
I installed these apps (according to MIUI):
9gag
AdAway
Android System WebView
Antutu 3DBench
Antutu Benchmark
AquaMail
BetterBatteryStats
BikeComputer
Burning Series
Chrome
DB Navigator
Dropbox
ES Datei Explorer
Google Play Store
Google Play-Dienste
Google-Tastatur
Greenify (wasn't installed before SlimMIUI)
GuitarTuna
Hacker's Keyboard
Hearthstone
irplus
Maps
Messenger
MX Player
mydealz
No-Frills CPU Control
Nova Launcher
Open Camera
PaderSprinter
QuickPic
scondoo
SleepTimer
Spotify
SuperSU
Telegram
TeslaUnread
Titanium Backup
Twitch
Unified Remote Control
Wakelock Detector Free
WhatsApp
Youtube
What I have tried so far:
- changing ROM (clean flash)
- not installing xposed
- not using old backups
- changing the battery
- using airplane mode
Also, I wonder why there are these gaps in the battery history since I didn't reboot yesterday...but these gaps don't appear every day.
Please help me to fix this really annoying problem and make my RN2 great again!
Thanks,
Kooneybert
The biggest drain comes from all the Xiaomi bloat. Read this thread for details on how to reduce the bloat. In my experience, the second main culprit is WhatsApp. I've had to stop it from giving sound notifications (or even vibrating) when messages come in. Now, I have between 90%-95% deep sleep on idle. Basically, anything that turns on audio could be a problem, because sometimes audio doesn't go off afterwards.
You might want to try GSAM Battery Monitor for more information about what is eating up your battery.

Thx for your reply! The problem is not MIUI-exclusive. CM 12.1 from Daniel Pinto is pretty slim but gave the same result (from the first day on).
Whatsapp can't be the only problem since all my friends use it and nobody have this problem (some of them also even have a RN2). Also, my phone is in silent mode almost all the time so no app is allowed to make noise or vibrate.
I just installed GSAM Battery Monitor but I don't know how to use the app/read the provided data. I could use some help there, too.

You can only be sure if you have a really skinny ROM whereby all the unnecessary Xiaomi stuff has been removed. There are all sorts of things going on in the background - including things embedded in the boot image.
There are also possibly optimisation issues with the kernel. All the ROMs seem to depend on the same binary kernels, since there is no GPL release of the kernel source code. You might want to try one of the skinny boot images by @jajk
As for GSAM, the best to learn is by trial and error (tip: tap on everything visible to see where it leads to, and what information it gives you).

...on all three ROMs? Only for me? With this effect? On some days, it reduces my battery by 50-80%! Hard to believe it is not a bug. Also, SlimMIUI has reduced Xiaomi-Stuff, Daniel Pinto's CM 12.1 looked even more clean to me.

Aren't there different kernels out there for the RN2? Bule's Mokee-ROM uses a modified kernel e.g. Does every ROM come with a certain kernel or may it be applied from the ROM before? So maybe I am still using the kernel from Bule's Rom with my MIUI?

This will help me to read the information but it won't help to understand them, too. What do you think about this:
Kernels: You can't compile a custom kernel without the Xiaomi kernel source code. All you are left with is tinkering with ramdisk in the boot image

...is this normal? The Kernel is the biggest battery sucker on my tablet aswell (which still has great battery). What do you think about the 8,5h of wakelock time produced by the kernel? If this is the problem, what can I do to solve it?

A "screen awake" of approximately 50% seems to me to be highly excessive (at least, if the phone was mostly idle). In nearly 12 hours, I have a screen awake of 55 minutes - so 8 hours in 15 hours seems strange. How exactly were you using your phone during this 15 hour period?
Perhaps the custom boot images by @jajk might help (see the first link in http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/general/roll-skinny-miui-t3309873). I am currently on v714-15 of the custom boot image.
Sounds like you may be having issues similar to what I was dealing with not too long ago, but my 'solution' was to install Bule's Mokee (still don't know why this ROM worked where so many others failed). Daniel's CM 12.1 and Xiaomi.eu were both giving me significant drain with and without the screen on to the point where I was sometimes finishing the day with an hour and a half of screen on time and ~20% battery. Now I'm getting up to double that.
One thing I can recommend is using MiFlash/Fastboot to do a total reset from scratch. Didn't really work for me, but you may be different.
Other than that, although it's tedious, you may have to install 1-3 apps per day after a fresh install to see if your battery holds at first and then dies sometime after installing certain culprits. It takes forever, but at least this helped me when I moved to Mokee to make sure that it wasn't any of my 'vital' apps that were causing me issues.
Best of luck!
Funny thing that the Mokee-Rom did SOLVE your problem. In my eyes this Rom was the beginning of my problems.

What is the difference to using TWRP?
I will try the Mokee-Rom tomorrow. Since I never used MiFlash/Fastboot before I won't use it until you tell me that there is a difference compared to doing a full wipe with TWRP.
I tried flashing the Mokee-Rom again but the problems go on. I installed very few apps and the battery is still very bad. Today I had 18 minutes of SOT and though I lost 14% in a few hours. This time it was caused by Whatsapp:
It always seems that some apps just don't like to stop doing something but it's random which app is the problem.
I am totally running out of ideas so please help me guys!
I'm on Mokee and satisfied with battery, this rom have less problems than other (for me). First of all i have installed MobileRadioActiveFix with xposed, then SmartNetwork to turn off wifi while my screen is off. I've got few other things but right now i've got over 4h SOT so it is not bad score.
i have the same problem! it happens with flashing severals ROMs (mokee by bule?) and starts battery drain with all ROM, it never goes... is not the battery, the cable or the rom..... i dont know im disperate... the sot changed from 4-4.5 h to 2-2.5 h... with all ROM, please help us and sorry for my bad english
Well i had situation that my SOT suddenly got down but i was still on march rom. After update to latest version without wipe it is ok right now.
Have you tried with wiping all with internal memory? Maybe something is there still and that is making a problem.
Another thing that came to my mind: have you changed build.prop and have copy of it? If so, delete it. I had some problems becuase of that.

every rom i have flashed was a clean install (full wipe of internal) after latest miui update, when the phone shut down at 0%, i put off the battery for 10 min, after i put back and the phone was at 19%!! now is on charge... maybe the problem is solved.. i will post if it is solved (sorry for my bad english)
I had that problem with earlier phone and it drived me crazy. I was not able to find what was the cause unfortunatelly. Phone was given to service point to install branded rom (it was not available for public). Right now i do not have problems like that, if i have some i'm able to find solution somehow. Although what i wrote helped me when i saw SOT problem.

Not that I know of. I`m facing the same issues like you here.
You can try:
-discharging until the phone shuts off
-charge it in OFF mode until its full
-disconnect charger, put battery out and in again
-connect charger, charge it to 100% again...
repeat until it shows 100% when connecting the charger.
For some ppl this seems to work.
Please let me know if you find out something!
There are lots of ppl out there with exact the same issue!
BR
EDIT: Installed PSYROM V3 for testing purpose right now. Lets see how it does with skynet and a freshly calibrated Battery with the internal calibration tool of the rom. I`ll give feedback on monday.
Update to my issue:
-I did a full wipe (including internal memory)
-Installed PSY ROM V3.0 and Skynet
-Wiped cache/dalvic
-Startet the phone, installed my apps etc
-Charged it to 100%, waited 20 more minutes
-Did the Battery calibration with the internal calibration tool (everything is described in psy mans thread)
-Did a reboot
So far there is no Battery Drain, after the (long) reboot, wich took around 5-10min because miui is optimizing apps etc the phone came up with 97% and stayed there for almost an hour now.
I´ll give you guys feedback next week. Hopefully we get this sorted out.
You can try Angels & demons ROM v8.0 it is providing me with great battery life, so much better than stock or stable version of MIUI. I use Gsam battery monitor, and I have not faced that issue so far.

Thank you very much!!!
I really dug the samsung apps for the s-pen. is there a way to install them after installing lineageOS? (sorry for the newbie-question)
Hi,
i've installed the ROM yesterday and i used it today in case of a working day.
I have noticed that he unfortunately does not switch to LTE - despite full receipt. The tablet uses at most HSDPA, which makes the ROM for me currently not really usable.
It is also a bit slower than the stock ROM, but tolerable - only the network connection is still a hindrance.
I bought the tab because I thought, as a flagship this device will surely get the lineage OS.
I am still very enthusiastic and really thankful that someone has made such a great ROM for this tablet- many many thanks to the devs!!!
regards
Ralf
Edit: after reinstalling this ROM is found the switch to change the preferred connection type to LTE. So i go on using it

For the 820 the GPS is not working.
Can we expect the same with this 825 version?
Thanks for your efforts!!
Ok so, I gave the rom a chance and to be honest it works quite well.
Kudos to Valera and Bonuzzz for the effort, this is looking very promising.
I don't use the S-Pen nor the phone-calling stuff so, my experience with this build doesn't include those two.
General usage feels snappy, I only had some trouble while playing video streams on the stock browser and firefox. The problem went away while using chrome.
Tried a couple of HDR 4K files on MX Player and they seemed to play nicely.
Played around with the settings, everything cool.
The only problem so far is a huge battery drain during normal usage.
Aside from that, this is an excellent beginning.
Considering this is just a 1st release, it's very stable.
If you need any kind of testing, I'm more than willing to help.

Thanks for the initial testing. I have not flashed this ROM yet. I'm still observing a bit before I do so.
I'm curious, how do you define normal usage? Also, are you able to quantify the huge battery drain?

Well, you should. At least it could give you a good idea of what to expect when the rom is ready.
I have never used lineage on a tablet so I wasn't sure what to expect.
For starters, normal use is just what you can imagine, youtube, chrome, mx player (hdr stuff), headphones, couple of silly games.
After checking how stable it was, tried Xposed -sucessfully- and every module worked fine (amplify, bootmanager, rootcloack, xnotify, youtube adaway). The drain is severe, you could literally notice the % going down ridiculously fast.
What's worst, my normal app usage and settings are designed to not duplicate what I can already do on my HTC 10.
So no GPS or Bluetooth, almost no applications doing sync stuff that I already have on my smartphone. (Gmail for e.g)
I always force wifi to sleep when display is off. Again, I don't need another device duplicating my smartphone.
LTE data is also off most of the time (and LTE works as expected per Speedtest -70 mbit-)
But again, settings are tweaked to maximize battery, while using it and while sleeping.
I have used BetterBatteryStats to take some measures, the drain is related to the core of the OS services.
A simple comparison with Stock. I just have started debloating touchwiz (very happy with the progress there too TBH), and barely scraching the surface of what can be done on stock, BBS is reporting 6.25 minutes per 1% of battery. Roughly 10 hours of battery of non stop use. After removing 85% of Samsung bloatware and its services, it's going to look even better. Samsung never ceases to amaze me with their never ending junk. So again, the rom is not ready for primetime. But that could change fast.
IMHO, you should install TWRP and do a backup of stock stuff and take a dive. Even if Lineage feels like android for smartphones, still works wonders. And you can go back to touchwiz in 3 minutes...
EDIT: Forgot to quantify the drain. The android energy forecast estimated 3-4 hours for a full charge. Closer to 3....
i wish there was developer who would give us debloated, tweaked stock rom .. i know this is not the right thread for making this post, but still

Redmi note 9s battery app suddenly updated and it's messing usage status

Hey guys
Since I bought the device the battery usage was accurate and was working fine, until suddenly like a week ago the app seems to have updated because it looks different now when you go into battery settings and also usage status is weird and messed up. I think that it's getting reset every 24 hours instead of every time I charge because when I check SOT it's always very low compared to my usage
anyone facing the same issue? anyway I can change it back to how it was before?
You are correct, only last 24h are shown, so stats are pretty useless... I already reported this bug.
The sad thing is that they say they don't have time to fix bugs as they are working on MIUI12, but they add more bugs to the working things...

People who got MIUI 12 are already complaining of bad battery life. We don't want the MIUI 12 update, we just want our battery app back as usual. if it aint broken dont fix it.
I just regret buying xiaomi man.
I agree.
You said that people with MIUI12 have issues about battery life, to think evil with this bug it's harder to get correct and comparable data about battery life...
I have created a feature request thread on Xiaomi's community forum this issue (it should be a bug instead...), please vote here https://c.mi.com/thread-3285998-1-0.html

Crazy Xiaomi, how to ruin an App in one quick change, I don't think it is likely they will revert back to the battery app that was actually quite good anytime soon, so as requested by 7mada has anybody found a way to revert back to the previous App?

I just got my s23 ultra on Monday. Turn on phone and updated. I must say battery life isn't that great either. Once I start using my phone it goes down quickly
I haven't notice any lags after the update. Battery life seems the same as before. I just installed the update today so will see if there is any significant change. But so far seems that it's just working as intended. Still hitting 5+ hours of SOT after last a full day of use and 30% battery left no optimizations.
Seems fine here. Am on light battery profile
No difference here on VZW.
No problems on the U1 model.
No issues for me. If you have a few hiccups wait a day or 2. Apps do re-optimize after an update so let everything adjust.

I'm noticing battery life isn't as good. Anyone else feel this?

Have had this after “analyzing battery pattern” phase. It was probably the play store update but as soon battery finished analysis p, it got worse
I don't get why some of you are only getting half the battery life that I am. I am Deaf so I don't do any voice calling. Don't have any games installed yet. And only Social Media I have is Facebook and Messenger. Other than that it's all Stock without any modifications and using Adaptive Refresh, Adaptive Battery and WQHD resolution.
The first screenshot was with Standard Performance Profile and Second was Light Performance Profile.

I just got my s23 ultra on Monday. Turn on phone and updated. I must say battery life isn't that great either. Once I start using my phone it goes down quickly

I'm telling you, was so average. Installed older release software, back to ridiculous battery life.

Look at the reports online. This Feb update has some s23 owners noticing battery degradation. Mostly previous gen phones updated to 5.1 though it seems, like s22 s21 owners
Use good gardians app booster after an update and you'll be fine

I use. I see no difference in what that thing does. I like the idea of it though lol
Hi, lot's of problems here
apps force closing
system notifications saying apps have issues
system restarting and going on a loop (not getting to the pin screen)
Had to go back to my prevoius phone until I figure it out
Chatted with Samsung, no straight answers.
Factory resetted it, still same issues, even on the instalation screen to pick language.
Anyone know how to rollback in a clean way to avoid warranty issues?
SM-S918B-ARO
Regarding batery, wasn t able to check, but I assume it will have issues too.
Thx

Why do you update your phone if you get bugs afterwards?

Because I don't have a time machine to know what would happen. I assumed this didn't happen, but I was wrong, now is time to fix it..
Downloading update via Frija and will update on Odin.
The thing is I can't rollback, as I couldn't get the old firmware, only the new one.
I'll update here when is done.

Remember it for the rest of your life!!! All updates bring only bugs! No need to update Windows and Android! If you do, you will have problems. You won't get anything good.
