Wiko Geek - Porting Marshmallow opensource Wiko files to Nougat ? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am interested (even if i'm a beginner) in porting and creating my own Nougat ROM to the Wiko Fever (using AOSP or even derivates like Lineage (which seems nice, and pure AOSP experience) and seeing if this could be possible.
Actually, MediaTek ported android-3.18 kernel into their GoogleSource, and Wiko had released their Marshmallow files.
Is it possible to port Wiko files to Nougat, so they can be usable for creating an Custom ROM ?
Long-Time EDIT : madOS was released for Oreo on Wiko Fever and all it's clones : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-official-mados-wiko-fever-clones-t3762804
Thanks to @DerTeufel1980 and @superdragonpt !

Hello there,
As you might probably know, OP is old. I know that Oreo is here and that Android P is in the productions.
But i'm very surprised that you took the torch to make a version for Wiko Fever and its clones, i'm impressed. Thanks for your work, mate

It isn't impossible it is possible but very buggy. You can see that nougat boots on 3.4xx kernel there are some places where you can find those screenshots. There is a post in xda also where a member is able to boot it on mt6592.
There is a nought rom on the forum.
If you are okay with some minor bugs then go for it.
I tried it myself on my A311.

This has been asked before already.
Our phones will not receive Oreo, it probably won't even receive Nougat from Xiaomi but there will be custom ROMs with Oreo

Lenovo K5 Note Nougat/Oreo developments??

We Lenovo K5 Note users are stuck with Marshmallow in the age of Oreo. And searching the XDA didn't find a single ROM development dedicated to Lenovo K5 Note.
Even here people discussing and developing Lenovo K5 and K5 Plus but no mention for K5 Note.
Anyone out there working on a Lineage 14.1 or 15 projects or any other AOSP-like projects to bring Nougat or Oreo to this poor phone?
Or is it something like the development is impossible for K5 Note in this world??

Its mtk man there is no kernel source available to work so don't expect any rom to work easily
You shouldn't have bought a mtk phone instead you should have gone for Qualcomm

But its processor is quite good and it is able to tolerate further ROM updates. We surely deserve the lineage os15.0 oreo update. Don't you think?

Absolutely. It could unleash it's true power if it was run with Lineage or other better ROMs.

Well actually kernel is not an issue here , roms can be made using prebuilt kernel also atleast the Android version your stock ROM has . The real issue is lack of devs so either one of you guys learn how to compile roms or just make a port ROM for your device but my recommendation stay on stock as there will not be any noticeable difference in performance or bb .

I have a keen interest in trying it out,
Can you guide me to right direction.
I have gone through a lot but it's scattered all over the place.
I m a c# developer, quite understand programming.
I would be using I7 processor, windows 10 , for the build
---------- Post added at 09:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:28 AM ----------
Basically I would like to port any existing ROM like LineageOS

For compiling roms .
Idk any good threads for porting roms but it's fairly easy and If you will google it the 1st/2nd result will do the work . Ironically there is no need of programming required for compiling or porting roms so just get started .
Edit :- I couldn't confirm the thread you shared last time. In theory it should work

Rom development? :)

Hello dear (future) Wiko u feel Prime colleagues
Are there any rom development actions planned for the near future? I'm eagerly waiting for a possibility to install Magisk with root. Unfortunatly I have no idea of development
Is there anyone who can access us a possibility to install Magisk?

I ported Treble for Yu Yureka Black to boot Oreo and Pie GSIs, its vendor images and partition tool should work on Wiko U feel prime as there is no compatibility check, as both are based on tinno p7201 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-lineageos-15-1-unofficial-yu-t3879503
it should work on 5 other clones this phone has

I ask a question。。

Can this phone be upgraded to 8.1? I'm not very good at English. I'm from China。。。。。
There will be soon an Oreo ROM for the Device.
But as of Now You Can Enjoy Nougat ROM on A311.
As Soon as there is a Working Oreo Rom for MT6592 Chipset Our Device will also get a Custom Rom.
