I didn't find a Cross-Device forum for LG like there was for Sony and I thought this might be relevant to LG G6 people as well:

Hi guys
I was directed here by LG V20 members. They mentioned that the root for the G5 may work on the V20 etc.
Can someone direct me to the proper link?
I hope there is an easy method for V20 root. A lot of us are having troubles.
Thanks in advance!!

SubjectLM-Q710ULM Unable to load Custom ROM
Hi friends.
After several hours of searching, I'm posting my question here (bought my first LG smartphone so I don't have many references, so maybe it's simple but I can't find the solution).
I just bought an LG G8X, model number LM-G850UM. It comes with an At&T overlay. It's unlocked, no SIM issues. I would just like to remove AT&T completely. I mean, not just the bloated apps.
The point is, I'd like to be able to install ROM updates without waiting for it to go through ATT every time (I'm not even in the US). For example, take any international KDZ to downgrade, and be able to receive OTA without waiting for it to be officially available through ATT.
It's a bit confusing, I tried to explain as best I could.
I want to do the same thing. I tried with KDZ and LGUP but didn't work...
I can confirm that this method worked for my LGM850UM. Went from AT&T Android 9 to OPEN_CA Android 11.
