I'm looking for a way to change the camera default gallery app with the samsung camera. In my quest I found that xposed had a module for that samsung any gallery https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-samsung-camera-gallery-fix-t2988640 . But now that I've migrated to nougat I wish to know how to do it manually if necessary.
Thanks for your help. Love for s6 edge!!!!

I noticed that in the Gallery app, the pictures zoom in and out in "stages", thus making it look really like it's heavily lagging - and not like any other phone where zooming is very fluid. Any workaround to make zooming lag-free? Or perhaps there's a better Gallery-like app around in the Market?
quickpic in the market.
You can also get the gallery app that is used on virtually all other android phones on the market. Someone posted an apk for it on the themes and Apps section.

it's called 3d cool gallery ... it's the stock android gallery + some tweaks and sensor motion support...
do somebody know how to integrate that into camera apk ... I'm asking if there is a way to make the camera "call" another gallery apk not the stock one.cause even if you install alternatives ... they will not open directly after a shot but you will need to open the apk directly.very annoying

+1 for that!!! The camera app should ask first time what app you want to use when ticking the recent photos icon... but that is a work for developers (if they want to do it and have time of course!)
Is there a APK mod of the ICS Samsung camera app? to remove those limitations of ''can't use flash on low battery'' and ''can't take photo in extreme low battery''.
I don't want the ICS Stock Camera app, the photos are better on Samsung camera app than the stock one... tested.
I Find only for the Galaxy Note

i hate the camera on snapchat, is there any way to change it out withe default camera (Samsung) or one of other Google play camera?
Would someone be so kind as to post a method in which CM users can use the stock TW camera from an S5 or S6? Thank you in advance!
This would be pretty tricky as would need the TW Framework and a lot of edits to the system I believe. Not sure it has ever been done on any Samsung device.
its impossible.
use Lenovo camera not bad
I found a solution for this, use OPEN CAMERA, it's free, allows you to use it like a stock camera, you can film 4k, and the focus or autofocus, and quality of details are the same as stock s5 camera.
You cant use Selective Focus or HDR like the stock s5 camera.
Would happily pay $20 if someone ported the TW camera...
Thanks guys, I'll try that Open Camera a try and test out any others I find along the way
I was also looking for a camera app which would be as good as the Samsung stock camera. So far, I've been using Camera MX and Camera 360 Ultimate (for filters and effects).
Search for the HTC Camera Port or Lenovo Super Camera
Is there any way to install a Samsung camera APK from a recent Samsung phone, such as the Note5, Note 8, S7, or S8?
I like my V30, but I miss some features from the Samsung camera app, specifically the picture-in-picture mode for recording photos/videos with both the front-facing and rear cameras.
The V30's camera app has the ability to record both cameras side by side, but I'm looking for some way to have PIP.
If it's not possible to use a Samsung camera APK, can anybody recommend a third-party camera app that would allow PIP?
Samsung remove PiP in the latest camera apps, the last phone to have it it was the Note 8 but will be removed with the Pie update.
I recall the S5 doing a selfie and taking a pic and the selfie was resizable but they stopped supporting it.
