IT says, adb is not recognized.

Aww.. You have to run adb manually. Look for some tutorials.

i istalled it from this link : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
and now from cmd i can reboot but still not in fastboot, just reboot normally, and unlock button is still gray

Try that vol- and power combo again now. You may also try adb reboot-fastboot. I dont remember exact command

yes, i can access to fastboot mode with vol - and power but still button is grey on mi unlock

Restart pc and if that doesnt work just look for older version of miunlock. I used different version and it worked

just boot your phone normally, then go to the directory where your adb is with cmd, using "cd" command, after that, confirm that device is detected with "adb devices". If it says "xxxxxxxxxxxxxx device" then you can "adb reboot bootloader". Now the phone should reboot and a MI russian mascot thingy will appear with fastboot labeled. after that, try "fastboot devices" to see if its recognized, if its recognized , you should be able to unlock it now , ps adb needs you to enable developer settings and also usb debugging

now i try thanks, could you tell me just one more thing? what does should be appear in device manager during system on and in fastboot mode? when system is on :
pic upload
and this once in fastboot:
pic upload
is this correct?

downloaded a older version and now it stucks at 50% of unblocking but it's something!

Check the usb driver , if its ok then try 3 times daily with correct method
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using XDA-Developers Legacy app

free image hosting
but if i use last mi unlock app i can't click on unlock button...

I also tried using the old app to bypass the waiting time for unlock, got the same message - so you need to work with the new app.
Btw, have you synced mi account in your phone? At least do it once and I hope you followed the instructions and applies for unlock request and got the verification messages thereafter?
If you missed any, could be the reason for this.

i did unlock reqeust for my last redmi note 3 pro so i just tried to use unlock app but have all the problems i said to you, i already registered mi account on phone and made the track verification. Nothing.

[Q] Can't connect in fastboot

In command prompt, I typed "fastboot -i 0x0fce getvar version"
And, it stays at <waiting for device>
I'd like to point out that I succeeded at flashing custom ROM last time, but now, it won't connect in fastmode.
I've installed the SDK (obviously)
Added the .inf file from SE site
Installed drivers from Flashtool folder
LED goes blue when connecting.
I've tried different ports, different OS, different PC altogether, but everything ends up with <waiting for device>.
Is the problem on the phone? How can I fix it?
Drivers seem to be fine...
Does your phone really go into fastboot? Blue LED stays on, nothing on the screen. If yes, check drivers once again! Does Windows detect the device?

Yes, the LED is blue, the screen is off.
Windows does make sound when connecting, and it doesn't pop up "new device" wizard.
Hey! Just noticed something.
When uninstall the drivers connect the device, Device Manager says "S1boot fastboot" briefly before going into "SEMC Flash Device"
How can I disable it from going to SEMC Flash Device?
And it happens only when I have drivers uninstalled. Seems they install once I connect the phone. Tried again without uninstalling drivers, and it goes straight to "Flash device"
Then maybe wrong drivers installed?

Maybe:
I've reinstalled the SDK - didn't work
Added .inf file from SE site - didn't work
Installed Flashtool drivers - didn't work
But now, I'm waiting for Lollylost100 to reupload the drivers he once uploaded on Megaupload - I think those ones worked last time (hopefully)
I'll install Debian and try again with new OS, with no installed drivers or whatever...
USB debuging is on?
Just wait a few seconds after connecting you phone in fastboot mode, sometimes computer takes time process.

2 things can be resone for this.first one is u didn't installed your adb drivers well.so it can be easyly fixed if u use xperia mini pro.just download drivers from the link below and unzip it.connect your device on fastboot mode and use device manager to ree update your drivers.when update your drivers, point drivers location to. Unziped fastboot drivers folder.make sure u have pointed x86 or x64 folder inside drivers folder.(x86 for 32bit os,x64 for 64bit os).check the problem is fixed.if not problem depends on second resone.it is u do not have correct fastboot program.(I have personal experience on this).just check the fastboot.zip folder for your device on internet and download it.(this is littlebit difficult but u can)when u download it just ree update your drivers using its drivers folder.when u use command prompt make sure u have opened correct folder from command prompt which contains fastboot.exe.(open fastboot folder write click while holding shift key and click on open command prompt window)then try using it.problem must be fixed.

ok.i got that.another thing i need to know is when u do first step is that the device manager recognized your device,if does,is it updates your device drivers when u point the drivers location to x64 or x86?(when u do that it must show android adb interface drivers installed, when u check device manager)which version of windows u used to do those steps? and tell me your device name and model.i will upload a correct fastboot program for u.just keep your hopes alive....

Need help with bricked Redmi Note 3 Pro (Kenzo/Snapdragon)

Dear Community,
I got my Note 3 Pro Snapdragon Version today and I tried unlocking the bootloader, installing root and TWRP.
Unfortunately after I installed TWRP, WiFi didnt work anymore so I wanted to go back to where I was before.
i tried flashing the GlobalRom with the MiFlash Tool but somehow I'm now stuck with a bootloop.
The phone starts up and shows the MI Logo but doesnt go on. I tried booting TWRP temporarily via fastboot commands so that I can try to flash flashable zip files
but it doesnt let me execute "fastboot boot xyz.img" anymore because my device is locked.
I would really love to hear any solutions or ideas. I dont want any root or something anymore. If someone has an idea Im very happy!!!
thanks a lot in advance and tell me if you need any more infos

1. keep vol + and vol - pressed while connecting USB to enter adb mode
2. check if phone is connected with "adb devices" in command line, if phone shows up, enter "adb reboot edl"
3. now you can flash via MiFlash

First of all, HUGE thanks for your fast answer!
Unfortunately I couldnt get this to work. Since I am stuck at the Logog screen here is what I tried:
Pressing both volume buttons while Logo Screen and plugging USB.
Pressing both colume buttons while fastboot screen is up.
These two didnt enter adb mode, I guess because of the bootloop I'm in
I also tried antering recovery mode with volume up + power button. Pressing both volume buttons didnt help either but when I am in recovery like that it shows my device in adb as "sideload" device.
Maybe that helps ? Can you give further advice or am I doomed?
My idea would be: Is it possible to reflash the device completely only usinf fastboot? The only thing I seem to be able to enter is fastboot...
Is there a way from fastboot to "working phone" ?
or maybe through the "adb sideload" state?
thanks a lot in advance!
Paul
EDIT
tried installing via "adb sideload xyz.zip" command but after shortly showing a status bar on phone screen it aborted and said "Total xfer: 0.00x" on PC screen .
Also: I read "adb reboot edl" brings you to download mode so you can flash something. Tried it but the phone just rebooted the normal system, so it stuck on Logo again...
search miui forum for unbrick, there is 2 or 3 method without opening your device
exp: http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=257227
Unfortunately they all do not work because they always require either a phone in download mode, and i only get to fastboot and adb sideboard or they require flashing something via fastboot but I can't do that either because it says my device is locked if I try...
Any suggestions how to flash a ROM with fastboot only or with adb sideload?
Thanks a lot

I've been facing the same (or a similar?) problem about a week ago but managed to get out. Knowing me for having a head like a sieve I made some notes, sadly quite rudimentary
Did you try to flash with MiFlash after "adb reboot edl"? If I remember rightly after "adb reboot edl" you got the logo like booting another way, but the light is blinking red. Then I could flash via MiFlash.
I'm quite sure that if you get a "reboot" after entering "adb reboot edl", your phone will be in edl mode.
I will try that this evening when I am at home again and report. Thanks

Only options you have right now are:
1) using test points method which is a but cumbersome and voids warranty if you care about that.
2) go to a xiaomi service center of you have any nearby.
It is hard bricked.
So there is absolutely no option to unlock bootlader via adb sideload or fastboot ?

That sounds nice and easy. I already applied for official unlock.
But: do you know if u can use the official unlock now? I can only access fastboot and adb sideload mode. Is it possible to activate official unlock from there? Or do I need a working ROM rather?
I would have thought that official unlock doesn't work from fastboot /adb sideload...

I have the same problem. I made the same mistakes as shisaya24. I have followed every procedure for unbricking and nothing works. I even applied for an unlock code and got it from Xiomi. Allow USB debugging and write this command in ADB , "adb enable oem unlocking"

[ROOT REQUEST] Vernee M5

Hey, been searchin for a couple hours and tried multiple apps but couldnt find any way to root this damn phone.
Is there a way for me to create the root myself or something? I really wanna root this thing
Thank you.

Unlock the bootloader using adb.
Install Kaush universal adb driver and adb.
Enable USB debugging on ur phone and connect it to pc.
Open command prompt.
Navigate to the folder where u installed adb using file explorer.
Shift+right click and select "Open command window here".
Type "adb devices" in the command window.
If it shows device connected then proceed further.
Type "adb reboot bootloader"
Now, type "fastboot devices" to verify whether device is still connected.
Type "fastboot oem unlock".
Ur phone screen may ask for final confirmation.
Once process completes, type " fastboot reboot".
Download Kingoroot for pc for rooting after that and install it.
Connect ur phone to pc with USB debugging enabled.
Kingoroot will detect ur phone, after that u only have to click the root button and wait for a few minutes.
Remember to have a good internet connection for pc while rooting as Kingoroot downloads su binary from internet.

Good solution !
And Very Great Phone but
Vernee M5 on official website have No Support for this device, only OTA
I have MediaTek sp flash tool (MediaTek Chipset) on my ubuntu for backup device.
I tried it, but it doesn't work. Kingoroot failed.
I think you have to disable "oem bootlock" but that didn't help either.
Kingoroot, framaroot and so on also doesn't work. Does anyone have a better idea?

I just tried all that and it didn't work. All good except Kingoroot said root has failed, would have been cool if you mentioned that it reset my phone and deleted all my files though. (nothing that important lost I guess, will just have to reinstall about 50 apps back ...) =[
Any idea?
Did you have a good internet connection? Try Kingoroot again but first uninstall Kingo Superuser, Kingo link and other apps that were installed during the rooting process.

Okay I will try that and let you know.
Also, seems like Kingo link was the only app that was installed.

Still says root failed on 26%, my internet connection is 4Mbites/s (500kbps)
Try some other rooting tool then. Once the bootloader is unlocked, you can try any rooting tool.

Then try the other tools, Kingroot is an option, Kingroot and Kingoroot are different. You may also try Framaroot or One click root.

Fastboot mode disappeared in 10 seconds...How to solve

When I'm try to boot in fastboot mode the fastboot mode (volume down+power) will only display for about 10 seconds and then it will reboots itself into charging mode. doesn't matter if i use the key, or even use adb commands to get there. it will still reboot itself in short period of time.
why is this happening? i just want to unlock my bootloader thats all...
Please help me... thanks in advance....

Your computer is unable to detect the phone in fastboot mode. Uninstall and reinstall the fastboot drivers, the proper ones. If successfully detected it should not be rebooting.
Cheers

That ten seconds when phone is turned on in fastboot and connected to computer quickly type this command in command prompt without the quotes
" fastboot devices "If a device with device number shows up fastboot drivers are installed correctly or else if nothing shows up fastboot drivers are not installed properly..so check them.

Im having this issue now on my redmi note 4x.
Do you have a solution? Thanks
Man, you need adb bootloader interface installed properly.
Open device manager, and you'll see something popping out when you connect your device to pc on fastboot mode, there you can see what's wrong. So all you need is update that wrong driver (the one that popped out once you connect your device in fastboot mode) and install redmi note 4x driver, just ignore your disappearing fastboot mode in your device, keep install it. You should have your redmi note 4x driver prepared btw, you can google it.
Good luck!
use USB2 port, do not use USB3

That is because your computer does not make any connection with your phone. Are you sure that you have all drivers installed. You can install fastboot drivers with mi flash tool but before that write this command in an admin cmd - bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF and reboot. Now you can now install the fastboot driver from mi flash tool and try your luck

So drivers are needed for fastboot flashing a xiaomi phone?
Why I didn't need drivers to use fastboot with other phone manufacturers?
In these phones (oppo, op) the phone stays in fastboot mode until you exit or shut it down.
I think xiaomi did a bad move with this.
───────
EDIT: It works in debian without any additional drivers.
Fastboot recognizes the xiaomi phone with "fastboot devices" command.
So it was as you said.
