Hi, so I just bought the Le Max 2 and there is only one issue which is really bothering me. Whenever I watch 1440p video on YouTube, the video is really choppy and plays in slow motion. This happens in every video. When I lower the resolution to 1080p then it plays fine but I want to take advantage of the extra pixels. Anyone have this issue? I cleared cache on all apps including YouTube and did a factory reset but the issue still persist.

Nah, it's like that on some devices. Thanks to early fingerprint sensor failure twice, i tested the hardwere in the way i can. My 2nd device was the worst. Benchmark didn't cross 60k. Even a 720p video played with lag.
None of the 3 devices reached the mentioned benchmark of 138k. The one i using now reached 87k. Highest of all 3

Mine is 99k. I believe is ROM problem. Indian rom. China ROM more optimize.

19s and no update means it's on indian version. No update is the reason i switched to chinese version.

I attached my phone description in my previous post.
It is x820. I think it is Hong Kong unit. But with Indian firmware.
I feel like trying Chinese firmware because 19s security level is last year.

Actually, i didn't do Compatibility Test. I just gone through the installer, i saw he made it compatible for x820, x821, x829. Just selected x821 in there, it installed without any problems. I never checked will it work or not. If we think like that, we can't try anything. Only thing have to worry about is, if it goes wrong, can i able to fix it. I know i can fix it. So i just did it.

Its up and running. Only minor detail is that it does a reboot after i record a video.

Highest I've ever had: 156483. My video recording also works fine. This is with all my regular apps running(fb messanger, lastpass, etc).

I have no idea how you guys get these numbers, do you have nothing installed? I always restore all my apps, and don't do anything special. By contrast I get in the 120,000s when I was on the us 19s rom, with all the same apps.

This is on 20s (US version). I have a ton of apps installed. Battery jumped to 40°C, so I think it throttled around that point. Would need to test again when the phone is cold. Also, I haven't tested this Turbo ROM yet.

Thanks for the great rom! I'm excited about the sound improvements, especially if they can somehow get the Bluetooth audio louder. I have been able to get it a lot louder with other devices, but streaming from the phone is too quite!

i haven't upgraded to 7.x version on this phone yet, is it better now?, i know there will be a chance of bugs, but basic wise, like fast charging, camera, etc. Just been looking on the Asus zentalk forums as well, some still have problems with the focus of the camera here and there.

I dont think same, since i've updated to 7.0 the phone battery last less and it become more hotter than before, its a lot heavier than android 6 so graphics are less smoth.
I have Zenfone 3 Deluxe.

Seriously? It takes all of 10 to 15 minutes to factory reset and restore your backup from a google cloud backup. But hey, if you would rather go backwards and remove features by reverting to an earlier OS, go for it.

I think android nougat is much better than marshmallow...
Anyone having issues with their camera autofocus? I was about to buy this phone until I read the Asus forums. Apparently the updates are frying the logic board in the camera and can only be rapaired if sent to Asus. Also nougat removed aptx support.

I have the exact same issue. But funny thing is, i only noticed it in PUBG Mobile, and only when using 6x or 8x scopes. Thought i was the only one, jeesus its so hard to get a headshot with sniper when you cant make small croshair adjustment. Im completely stock

Yes, It appears that every mi pad 4 has this issue... I used to have a mi 6 and something similar happened, and It got fixed after while with some updates.
I play pubg and some racing games where this problem annoys me a lot. I wonder if there is any custom rom that has this fixed.

I havent tried any custom roms as there seems to be battery drain issues judging by comments. Im quite happy with miui, everythings working fine and fast, just this one little bug. I think its kernel side issue, but cant confirm that, as we dont have any custom kernels available.

To me it happens even when the tablet is cool, its just a bug, regardless of screen orientation..
I've just received an update: 10.2.1.0 and it got better. Not completely fixed, but it happens less often.
Thats a start..

No. Its always there, doesnt matter what temperature. And doesnt matter which rotation.

bro i just installed the 9.1.10 beta and the problem has been partially fixed....
this problem is there in another Xiaomi phones... such as Mi 5s Plus series....
The problem is software related, not hardware. I installed Paranoid Android together with arter97 software collection and the issues with touch responsiveness is gone. Bad thing however is that native gestures is lacking and that the tablet is no longer certified. However the first issue is a minor one, I installed FGN and it functions the same as miui rom's gestures.
FWIW I got notified about what I assume is an official Pie update today. It's not the same version number as another post in here though:

To be honest, you're not missing anything ground breaking although I must admit almost everything that's different is a nice change. My one big exception:
Y the truck did they switch which side they put the time on? Ridiculous.
That said, the upgrade was the smoothest I think I've ever experienced for any OS, desktop or mobile, ever.
I run the Nova Launcher and the update has not interfered with that at all. So my preferred tweaks, apart from moving the bloody time, have all been preserved.
Perhaps the biggest promised feature I'd like to think will be legitimate is battery saving. No real indication of any ground breaking changes there so far though it's only been 24 hours ?
I do understand that it's not fun to be kept waiting and feel a bit left behind.

Got it in Hungary on the 7th as well. Unfortunately the update includes a crippled version of the Dolby Audio app, which has no EQ anymore (WTF???) So make a copy of the app before the update.

It was a false alarm. anyway. The EQ was always there, but only shown, when your your earphones were plugged in. If you disconnect your earphones it disappears right away.
Android p rolling out in Brazil. Expected to receive in India from next week.

Even the experience report would be a thing. That will mean the firmware indeed exists.

My device was oreu and once I flashed retus on it and everything worked, though this might not help you to get faster updates and of course it also means that you have to unlock the bootloader which later might cause OTA updates to fail to install even if you manage to download them.
Cool. Week that's at least a good news as it's possible to do that. What that Pie's image by any chance?

Unfortunately it was not Pie rom, it was Oreo. There is no pie rom except for GSI roms. Hopefully someone who got the recent Pie update in Brasil will post the rom or capture a download link, then we could flash it in a similar way.
