What about Ringke Invisible Defender screen protector? - Samsung Galaxy S8 Accessories

It could be the best solution as a film screen protection for the S8, anyone tried it?
If yes how does it feels after a while (rubbery)? Does it peel?

Link? And why do you think it's the best solution?

Feels like peel. However thats not the bad part. The worst part is that it has a haze n the screen looks bad

Yeah, that's a really bad film protector. The best film protector by far I've used is the Yootech wet apply. It's really great and pretty invisible although it'll give no protection if you drop your phone.

The little side flaps are cool but it isn't the best as far a clarity goes. Mine kept peeling up on the top as well.

Genuine leather back cover

Do you think it will be available in the future? And I'm not talking about pouch, wallets, bags, etc.
I love the new look but it's still not real leather. I want the real deal.

Thanks for the reply, but neither of those sites offer what I was asking.
I'm not looking for a case of wallet. Or something that goes around the phone.
I'm looking for a replacement for back cover only. I don't need protection, just something to make a great looking phone even better looking.

I want one too. I find the fake leather still not tacky enough to the touch. Better than the old slick but not enough for me.
would love this too
I would be very intressted in one of theese
Me too, definitely interested in this!
Would love one of these!
i felt the black note3 in store demo was much closer to leather feel. but the white note3 felt like 100% plastic. i still got the white one because of the color and my case will cover the back.

I'm confused. You want someone who works with an organic material like leather to make a tightly machined set of tiny clips on something that's normally at least 2mm thick and crumbles when dried?
Or do you want someone to glue a piece of split (like sliced thin) leather to a plastic back? Samsung painted on what they could while keeping the back as thin as is structurally sound.
Yes, real leather would be nice, but real leather won't do that, not unless you add some heft to the existing structure of the (or any) plastic back.
Its really nice one... I like it

I recommend the iLLumiShield crystal clear screen protectors sold on eBay and Amazon. More expensive than some other brand but definitely of a higher quality and so easy to apply.

I second this, the fit is anything but good. There are rather large gaps around the screen which defeats the purpose of having a screen protector.
It has poor fitting(large gaps on the side). Pretty thick compare to other protectors. Are you sure you got the temper glass protector? I find it hard to believe you got it for $1. I paid $6 and it's a waste.
I paid $16 for a flexible glass protector by iloome. Now that's worth the money. Great fit.
I have 0 gaps on mine, I think it's user error. If fits perfectly & I even have a case on mine. I purchased 10 of these for 10 different devices & good investment.

I have the spartan glass on the galaxy s5, and by far its the best one I've tried! I was planning to buy the same for the G3 but they are out of stock and then I see the negative reviews!
More to the point, the video actually shows the flaw everyone is talking about: Even though you have pushed the glass further from one side, the other side, still has a small gap! even ignoring that, the fact that you have left space on one side but the other side hasn't gone off the screen means the fit is not perfect. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great value but I can see where the complains are coming from.
Thank man for the video review nonetheless.

I saw no issues with it & fits fine for me. But if worse comes to worse, I'll just contact them & get it replaced. Their CS is AMAZING!
The edges of the screen protector don't go over because the gap is very minimal when I attached it, if I would have removed it & put it on again I'm sure it would have fit fine.
I'm just glad you don't even notice it with a case on it & it doesn't lift at all.

I don't know where all these rave reviews are coming from, maybe I got a bad unit from XtremeGuard. The glass protector is very thick, it feels sticky to the touch, it doesn't line up well and there's no cut out for the camera. If I hadn't ordered it a month ago for 90% off I would have sent it back. Now it will just sit collecting dust.

It can't be user error because if there are gaps its a manufacturing error not a user one. A user can't make the protector smaller.

Exactly. If you have room to push the screen protector over and it leaves a gap on one side then it doesn't fit.
All the protectors I've had that have the "gap" makes them case friendly. I prefer that myself, but to each their own I guess.
I have 0 complaints about the screen protectors

I understand your point, my only issue is the size of that gap. On other screen protectors it's almost non-existent, but this one has a big gap in comparison.

Yea the one I originally linked to does not fit. Isn't even wide enough to cover the display.
Any one have any luck? I'd rather not having this thing unprotected at all.
Edit - Trying these next as I don't think a glass one is going to work - https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Supershieldz-Anti-Glare-Anti-Fingerprint-Replacements/dp/B0728B39JP
I grabbed this glass one and it actually worked pretty well. Takes a bit to get everything lined up, but I was pleased.

Is there adhesive on the transparent portion of the protector or only under the colored border? Is there a matrix of small dots visible in direct sunlight? Are the edges actually curved or flat + beveled?

You'll have to give feedback as I am really interested in this.
I have the Top Ace full screen protector
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072FHC5K6
It is a full front tgsp with a black border to cover up the normal halo you would get with the 2.5d glass, like Intelliarmor Pro.
It's not perfect. The cutouts for the lighted buttons are slightly misaligned on my sample, so the button lights are blocked slightly when viewed from an angle. And the black borders look like they cover a row of pixels of the screen on each side. The glass itself is pretty good, the oleophobic coating is decent. No dot matrix either.
It's not the best imo but then again I don't feel compelled to rip it off the phone. Having the full cover is nice.
Sent from my HTC U11 using Tapatalk
Anyone try this one? I ordered one, will update when I put it on. The cutouts look different from all the others.

Have to when our new phones have curved screens. A flat piece of glass doesn't work anymore, just creates a raised edge.
