The phone is alive and can be turn on. It just that a few days ago it suddenly won't charge anymore. I figured maybe its charger fault so I tried using a QC 3.0 charger as that's the only charger I got laying around. Then the phone got really hot. I can smell burn so I pull the cable right away. After a few disassembly this is what I found.

I thought maybe the resistor gave out.
What you guys think? Is it fixable?
I still can use the phone normally btw as it still had like 50% charge left it just that I'm worried if I plug in a charger now another one will pop :laugh:

The Motorola one was having issues(kept coming loose, losing charge) so I'm charging it this way with a $14.99 power inverter from Walmart.

I'm using one of these with a right angle microUSB cable for my Incredible. Works great, charges just as fast as the AC adapter.
I have a Belkin one similar to that. I got this thing primarily for my NetBook, but thought i'd see how it holds up with the reeezound. Unlike the b.s. Motorola rapid charger I was using before, this one went from 14% battery to 100% in about 1hour 10min.
I realize this is like one of the most ridiculous questions ever and yes, I know I should probably go out and chill the **** out but I just needed a piece of mind here. I accidentally yanked my phone by the charger cord when it was charging and it fly from the desk to the carpet floor. I know the phone itself is fine but I was concerned about the charging port and the micro sd plug mostly. Are these really prone to damages? I'm frustrated over the fact that I might have loosened/damaged the plug and caused it to get loose or wiggle now. It's fine right?
Probably not, you should be more concerned about the screen.
please don't ask questions in General

Today my phone started to not charge while I had it plugged in and using it at the same time. A few weeks ago I also was getting a notification that said "use the charger the phone came with because this one isn't giving enough power" or some message like that when I always use the original htc charger. My phone is actually losing battery while I have it plugged in now. This is annoying! I'm unrooted and stock.
This message is popping up now.

Do you have it plugged into a laptop/computer? Mine started giving that message as well - I believe that this occurs when the port you are using is unable to give out enough power, as some USB ports are not highly powered. I advise plugging into a wall outlet and seeing if that helps any.
Well as some of you guys have seen from my previous thread, I added a RAM mount to my wind shield:

I've added a few more things you guys might be interested in.

I went with that charging cord because the side going to the tablet angles back so you don't really see the cord aside from the plug. The other side where it plugs into the car charger is reversible so you can plug it in any way you want. No more having to look at it before you plug it in. And the reason I bought the car charger is because it has both the 1A and 2.4A plug.

Best way to play need for speed.
Hi,
I've tried few different chargers with no effect. So I have decided to open back panel and I've noticed that when I attempt to charge device battery stays completely cold but area right under sim card slot getting really hot.
Is that mean battery need to be replaced or is it something else.
Thanks for any help.

Try unplugging the battery and plugging it in. If it gets hot still, it is likely a short. If it doesn't, it is likely the battery.
