Cant open the link but does it use XiaoMi Flash app on the pc? I havent unlocked my bootloader but XiaoMi Flash installed TWRP on my RN3.

Redmi note 3.
I had unlocked bootloader for redmi note 3, but after that when i tried to flash back the fastboot rom <kenzo_global_images_V8.1.6.0.MHOMIDI_20170122.0000.00_6.0_global> from mi.com for my phone, it is showing me that "This device is locked, activate the device" after complete bootup.
Even Mi account for which it is asking password is not mine one.
Currently my phone bootloader is gain in locked state, and even i am not able to unlock bootloader now.
Bootloader locked by unofficial method.
Please provide some help.
You have to flash using EDL mode with miflash.

Hey everyone! In the past, I have tried to unlock my Redmi Note 3's Bootloader via the official method (yes I have permission), and also fastboot oem unlock command. Nothing seems to work, and I am going to follow some tutorials to get ZCX TWRP on my phone. Provided it works, I need to know some things:
1. Will those tutorials (they all do same thing; flash ZCX TWRP via Mi Flash EDL) unlock bootloader?
2. If not, will I be able to flash custom ROMs like AEX 5.7 via recovery?
3. Can ZCX TWRP be replaced by official TWRP?
Help with getting rid of MIUI (and my locked bootloader) would be appreciated.

Same thing happened to me... I accidentally locked my bootloader while flashing with MI flash. And now mi unlock tool saying "this account couldn't be used to unlock bl" (I too have unlocking permissions ??)
Now I'm stuck with stock miui rom??

I have this same error! Anyway, I'm now on official TWRP 3.2.2-0... Need to know whether it's safe to allow modification of System, and whether I can flash stuff.
Yes you can, almost 90℅ of redmi note 3 users have unlocked unofficially , just dont flash miui rom with twrp

Update: It works
I decided to try for myself, and successfully flashed AEX 5.7. Gapps is giving me some problems but that's probably because I installed the stock zip. Micro will probably be more stable while retaining face unlock feature. Thanks to everyone who helped, and the awesome community.

Where did you find 10.2.1 version? And why you want to downgrade?
You have to fastboot flash the rom you want to flash assuming your phone's bootloader is unloacked. Download xiaomi flash, the rom you want to flash, then install xiaomi flash on your computer then flash the rom.
There are many tutorials on online and in YouTube too. Search "how to fastboot flash redmi 5 plus"
My old RN4 is locked & I forgot password.
I don't have access to my MI account.
