Code Aurora Forum (CAF) is a consortium of companies with projects serving the mobile wireless industry. Software projects it concerns itself with are e.g. Android for MSM, Femto Linux Project, LLVM, MSM WLAN and Linux-MSM. Code Aurora is basically AOSP plus all Qualcomm specific enhancements and optimization.

Is substratum working? Does the phone app force quit? I can't apply themes and the phone keeps hanging up on people
No option to center the clock on status bar. Nor change the battery icon. Sad.

Dude it's pure aosp with caf patches..... That's kinda the point of the rom. You just didn't know what you were doing.....
This happens and the same thing happens with the phone app after being on a call for a while

Yes, but on first boot the nav bar is already hidden AND fingerprint gestures aren't turned on = no navigation!
OP might want to fix that fun little opener. I can live without a centered clock, but no apm seems a bit too pure/austere, plus other CAF-based roms have it. Unless I missed it...

They have it because the feature was added to the ROM. That's not stock android code or caf code.

I know it's an added feature and not in the base code, just saying most roms add that very basic feature or at least provide the option for it. Maybe it was intentionally not added though, guess we'll see on the next update.

Its unmodified Aosp no tweaks. Do it yourself.
I'm not logging something he could just test himself. Not being rude but really.... Why waste my time when he's probably going to flash and test it himself

OmniKang by finnq & Schubi (Android 4.4)
This is an OmniROM based ROM with lots of cherry picks and modifications.
OmniKang is compatible with the official OmniROM nightlies.
So you normally you can flash OmniKang just over an OmniROM nightly without wiping anything. It's just the same procedure as flashing a new nightly.
You can also do the other way round without expecting problems.
I won't describe here in detail how to flash OmniKang because it's almost exactly the same procedure as for OmniROM. So please have a look here if you don't know. However, you don't have to flash Superuser manually, as it's already in OmniKang.

Shows a bar with the battery status above the status bar or above the navigation bar.
NFC Polling Mode
Enable NFC polling on lock screen or when screen is of.
Advanced network activity indicator
For example, you can enable a two line indicator for up- and downstream (MiUi style).
Advanced low battery indicator options
You can disable the warning dialog for low battery warning and get a notification or only a sound instead.

Until they fix it, one way around it is to flash the ROM with no GAPPS and boot. Then reboot into recovery and flash GAPPS. I just did that and it's working no problem. :good:

Excellent job on this! So glad to see this come out of nowhere with all of the features that I like and/or want!
One quick observation....do you think that you guys will get around to updating the charging LED light so it stays solid instead of pulsate? I know a lot of ROMs have incorporated that now and was just curious if you might be able to do that?

Thats an hardware issue. No way out. Same as in TWRP, LG decided not to implement Date in lower levels, so Backups are named with 1970.

The charging LED is a hardware issue? Other ROMs on this phone have the light to stay on now, so I was just curious if you were going to implement it.

Sure, no problem. While we are at it, I also noticed the LED light has another issue that has popped up on other ROMs. When you are plugged in and charging the phone and get a notification, the charging LED will turn off and won't turn back on unless you unplug and re-plug the phone in.
With all of that being said....this particular ROM has the LED functioning 100% the way I have described that it should: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2610693

I was waiting on my partner to fix some stuff, but not too sure what's going on. I felt we needed a new lollipop rom so I brought this back
I tried flashing it. It boots up fine but I can't get play store to work. Keeps saying it can't retrieve whatever from sever. I tried clearing its cache and data. Didn't work. Tried wiping del cache n cache from twrp still didn't work.

I am unsure, you could try, I do not use xposed ever.
I just tried with normal version but it would not boot.. anyway, the rom is great

Im using your testing build as a daily driver, even without camera and audio just because i hate samsung crap.

Yes, i am aware of those issues, they are listed in the bug list. The screen issue isn't a priority for me though.

one thing happen to me is the titanium backup, the menu bottom on the right upper corner do not show up. is it titanium problem or rom problem??

Why dont you assist? I need someone to get me parameters from a stock rom. Aosp is missing some of them. Im too lazy to reflash a stock rom, rather put the effort into stuff that matters to me

Now cm14.1 camera also can't take pics if hdr is on.

After installing your app. I turned on hdr. And took one photo. Without saving, it showed me error that can't connect to camera.
Now cm14.1 camera also can't take pics if hdr is on.

For me the cm14.1 camera app freeze when I take the HDR photo, in this edited one it works normally

I found out. In cm14.1 camera app. If the power button to take photos option is enabled, then this bug occurs. That option is called as power shutter

Maybe a dirty flash can fix the issue.

I have already updated some times and still happens. I don't know, still I prefer this one
Noticed both of you are seriously complaining and complimenting the app.
But the final stable version has been made by me.
In-App UI themed to look like Google Camera from Pixel.
Custom green icon from latest CameraNextMod
What was it earlier:
OnePlus One Oxygen OS Camera

I install it, and HDR, HD and the flash works fine, video its fine, but the slow motion, time lapse and panorama doesn't work, they don't record anything and in panorama when I start it says that I gotta move the device, but the camera doesn't detect I'm moving.
The first apk works better for me, and it has different functions so I'm staying with that one.

Oh nice to know but how did you do that I have the latest version of pixel launcher with the blue accent app drawer ,weather on search bar , white dock and Google now on leftmost page. But yet my icons are not changing to the round one so can you please help me.

Of course, I'm in android 7.1 and I installed the gapps with the aroma package. In it I select pixel launcher and pixel icons and thats all

You would think this being a Pixel device that there would be tons of ROMs but there's nothing out yet and the development page looks barren. I'm waiting on lineage but who knows when that will be available if ever

Check the 3 XL forums. There are some custom roms including LOS 16 which is reported to also work on the 3.
DU Dirty unicorn RC is out for p3. I tried the second release but didn't get it to boot on December fw

Can't post the links here for DU. Just do a google search for "dirty unicorns blueline" and it will be one of the first links. The instructions are there. Just make sure you use the blueline twrp version or you'll run into install errors. I had the crosshatch version installed and learned that the hard way. Good luck.

Got it. Works well save for the theme continually reverting to light and I have to manually add instead apn and modify buildprop to allow voLTE switching

Need to switch Google Messaging app to dark theme and then it will stay (also change settings > display > display theme to dark). I asked that question already since I had the same "problem" and guess it is a google and not DU issue.

IMO the main reason for the lack of custom roms is that the stock rom is pretty good as is

Agreed. There are just a few tweaks that I miss on stock that the custom roms have. Other than that, stock has been fine for me.

Likewise. I need volume control for switching tracks, love the lte + icon(stock gives me 4g only), advances power , and some other stuff.
