htc dictionary copy - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello there!I was wondering. Is there any way to copy the HTC dictionary (not user dictionary) from a mobile phone (or simply download and install htc input language pack) BUT use it with another keyboard? What I m trying to say is that I 'm very comfortable with HTC language prediction, but since there is no way to use the old way phone layout(they have only qwerty option),I have to use another keyboard, like Perfect. But it's language pack is terrible (at least in greek). So if there is any way to use this keyboard with HTC language pack it would be great.

[Q] HTC Wildfire unlock and Thai fonts

Please excuse my ignorance, but I am completely new to Android.
I've just bought the wife a new HTC Wildfire from Tesco. I now need to do two things: -
Add Thai fonts
Unlock it from the tesco network
I've downloaded the Anysoft keyboard from the Android market but it doesn't work properly bcse the Thai fonts are not present on the handset. It appears that I need root access to the handset to install them.
I also need to unlock the phone so that wifey can use her Thai sim card in the handset when she is in Thailand.
I've heard of an app called unrEVOked3 - would this enable me to do both of the above and is it simple and easy enough to use?
If I can use unrEVOked3, can I ever reset the handset back to it's original condition if it needs to be returned to Tesco for any reason, or does the use of the software permanently chnage the phone and completely invalidate my guarantee?
For the font question it would be best to ask in the Wildfire forum, but for unlock you can use this site http://www.unlock-now.com/
or if you google for more, you will find plenty

Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Connecting letters depends on your rom. At very first check out that your browser shows Persian sites like gooya correctly or not, then try MultiLing or SlideIt Keyboard. Its available in market and you don't need any font to install.
By the way you need to flash your phone with cyanogenmod rom to read Persian letters connected together (at least I experienced it by myself).
For non-cm7 ROMs, the letters may not appear connected.
1. Use Opera Mini browser for browsing persian / RTL sites: it render the text with connected letters but still there are some block characters due to non-supported unicode type character. but text is readable
2. Use "Mirsal" (you can find it in Android Market: and use this app for messaging, it works perfectly and support RTLs with arabic/persian/urdu language keyboards
Hey guys,
This dude here introduced a font:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=689811
I already rooted my SGS II i9100G.
The problem is I have no idea about steps he said to install that font.
Currently im using Juffo Rom which support persian language but has some issue:
it shows "گ" instead of "ک" and the letter "ژ" has not been defined.
any help?
techopedia.net/files/Iranian%20Sans-irsans.tar.bz2 is a full featured font for Persian (that as far as I know designed for android by farsitel group). I suggest you to use it
i am gonna help you out this time only coz you are kermooni
i assume you want farsi on a sense rom, 2.3 cyano already has support
the whole font thingy fits into two categories:
1. web based font processing (web browser and gmail and such)
if rooted: just search "brightidea" in market, install and run the patcher and you are good to go. i made a request to the author and he made the patcher compatible with any wildfire sense 2.2. credits to him
if not rooted: as mentiond your best bet is to use a browser like opera, unfortunately gmail wont work and i dont know any workarounds for it.
2. frame work (system menus, contacts, sms and such)
if rooted: search for DK CUSTOM rom in development section, there is an optional patch that takes care of the problem.
if not rooted: i am afraid there isnt much to do to remedy this, at least there is no way to take care of the problem completely.
you can use multilang keyboard to type in farsi regardless of all this, the above solutions are to properly read farsi.
side note: the reason you can easily type well connected words with multilang is that it takes care of the processing and connecting them before saving them, thus there is no need for the operation system to reprocess them again, it just reads them and shows them as they are. but if you try to read words that have not been processed by a program like multilang, like the text on websites then since these ones are not processed to be shown connected the OS just reads them as they are thus you see separated letters. the above solutions help OS to be able to process and connect the letters on its own.
let me know if you need help

[Q] Language Support on HTC Flyer

Hello Guys!
Been a while since I last been around xda or android so therefore I have a question!
I bought a HTC Flyer in the US, at Bestbuy. Now I'm from Denmark and therefore I would like it on Danish. I got the keyboard on Danish and I can ofc live with English language, however I would like to give it the last 1% toward the 100 of a perfect tablet experience.
I can't choose Danish under the language selection, so is there a way to get Danish. Maybe by getting the EU Version of Android 2.3.3? By rooting or shall I just give up, because it's now possible?
On forehand, thanks
I have the exact same problem with my HTC Flyer. I am Greek but Greek language is nowhere to be found in it. Even my Samsung Galaxy S (which still runs on android 2.2) has Greek!
I contacted HTC support and they told me to look at the Market for an add-on!! I specificaly asked the following question:" Do you mean Greek Keyboard OR Greek system menus? Because i do have a Greek Keyboard." The answear was "Greek system menus". I then searched the Market but i did't find any such app or add-on. Didn't contact HTC support again.
Get morelocale2 from android market
Can change system UI language
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e
Cheers mate! Works out for me, found Danish and it just works!
- Try it out SpartanWarrior, Greek is there too!
Thanks, did the trick for me Portuguese

[Q] Adding new display languages (not keyboard layouts)

Hi!
I have an Alcatel Onetouch 4015D. It's a low end device that does not have a lot of storage space, so it does not include out of the box many languages. So when I go to the Language setting I see only a short list of languages that does not include Greek. Would it be possible to add this language somehow?
I contacted Alcatel support and they told me that : "If the language you need isn't included, please try to download such language software from Google market."
By Google Market they actually mean Google Play (I confirmed that), but when I look for something like that there I find nothing.
ps. I'm not talking about keyboard layouts of course. I'm talking about switching the display language of the whole phone into Greek.
Nobody?
