Good evening to all,
I have a problem with my amazfit Chinese version
Until some time ago, I had the amazfit connected with the iphone 6 plus and received all the updates from the developer.
After a bit of time the phone I was stolen and I bought a new one, only that when I try to do updates I am told that my amazfit is updated to the latest version.
Currently, I'm stuck to version 1.2.23. And’ possible to find a solution ? How can I fix that ?

It will be because you will have the stable version. The development version has to be and the program.

Are you using the same MI login id that you used with your old phone?
Are you running the Dev version of the Amazfit Watch App? The latest version of the Dev app is "1.7.2.2-Dev Preview" on Andriod.
Under Profile page, do you have Preview option and does it report you as being subscribed to Dev Preview?
Yes, I'm using the same login (email address), but the userID in the app is not the same as on account.xiaomi.com. I used my facebook login to create the xiaomi account, but can now login with email and password. Maybe there was a merge conflict of those two accounts, so I "lost" the developer state.

You have your answer there... The app uses the account Id to query if you are subscribed to Dev Preview. Below is the request that goes out from the App to check for Dev Preview subscription
GET /users/300005XXXX/romPublicPreview?Content-Type=application/json&userid=300005XXXX
Because 1.2.14 is a Dev Rom and your current Id is not subscribed to Dev Preview, you are not getting updates. Using your old id, you should be able to get updates.
In case if you are on Pacefied, just use the latest Full install..

You can only get the update, when your account is subscribed to the developer channel.
Answer from xiaomi support: "However, if you have uninstalled the application then would like to inform you that developer channel will no longer available in the application, for this you need to again subscribe for the developer channel. "
But the problem is: the limit of the subscriptions in the developer channel has reached

So I just bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.0 and its my first tab. I have a HTC Desire cellphone, so android isn't completely unknown for me.
Even though I do have a few questions, maybe you guys can help me with.
1)
I have seen many screenshots where people have different background for each screen. One homepage, one called music to the left and maybe one called games to the right (just examples). And it look really awsome, how do I get it to mine?
2) It says it can have different email clients synchronized, but I cant get my yahoo mail to cooperate with it - I have no idea why. When I try to add another mail than Gmail (which I dont use) then it wont accept it. I did wrote to Samsung but they have no explanation or what so ever.
I'm a new user and cant post any outside links. I found the guide at a site called androidspot - how to setting yahoo mail on samsung galaxy tab.
3) generel tips! I really love my tab and think it is a great machine and can, in some place, be a substitute for a laptop. And that is what it is. I do have the feeling I dont really use all its function or just half of them.

And btw, I'm from Europe therefore there maybe be som function I cant use, like Move Hub (Damn! This one would be awsome to have!).

Maybe you should try to get an OTA update from Samsung to solve your mail problem.
Otherwise flash a newer ROM.

opening this link on your tab will result in a question if you would like to open this like with the browser or the market, choose market.
OTA means Over The Air. but therefore you need to have setup an account at samsung. can be done under settings - about phone (or something - last option).

About a OTA, how do I get one? And mere important, what is it?
And yeah, hopefully it wont dissapoint me ;-) So far I'm happy for it. I have bought some games and for some reason it seems to have some problem playting them. Sometimes it suddently exit the game to the homescreen, and I have no idea why.

Another interesting option available is, ability to randomize the identity for different processes.
It just hijacks the identities on the fly. Hence the original valules are not modified.

How to use!

Open Hijack Suite and enter custom values for the identities.
Press save.
Goto Xposed installer app.
Enable 'Hijack suite'
Reboot the device.
View the customized values being replaced at places where they are tried to fetch.(Check using different apps.)
Observe the behaviour of the app under test by changing the id values.

Checked these 2 apps. They are wonderful apps for personal privacy management.
I just imagined Hijack Suite as a security testing tool and developed it.
Concentrated on spoofing the device identities to apps instead of preventing access to them.
Yes, it can be treated like xprivacy or PMP.
But when you approach mine as a privacy tool, I think xprivacy and PMP are doing much better.
Also they have a lot of other features.

Does the app makes a backup from original IMEI, MAC address, Device build number, and is it restorable.

It sounds like a good feature, I should add.
As of now, you can revert back to original identities by disabling this module within xposed installer app.
Note : You will need a reboot once, after the module is disabled.
I could have really used this module last year for a little project I did. I wound up decompling an APK to do what I wanted. I'd suggest adding phone number as another ID value. Would be very valuable in my opinion.

A short question:
When you go to Turkey and use a Turkish SIM card, your phone will be blocked after 6 or 7 weeks. They do that so that you can't import phones.
Only way to use it again is to activate the IMEI somewhere, but you need a Turkish passport and pay money to do so.
Since I'm often going to Turkey I always have to search for other smartphone (taking one from my family or friends).
May it be possible that they can't block the phone when using the app? Or is it only useful for installed apps?
I have a very old Nokia phone which is active, I may be able to use the IMEI of it.

Hi,
It will spoof the IMEI number to other apps only or the programs that take OS help to get the identity.
Network providers will be able to collect original number using their own channel.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
Instagram trialled a "close friends" or "favourites" feature which allowed users to share posts with only particular users in their so called 'close friends list'. This trial was around the 23/06/2017.
My old Instagram account used this feature and it was great! However, it turns out they have cut the feature, unless you have already used it...
So my new account does NOT have this functionality and I would like to regain it!
Apparently the with and without the feature, the apks are identical, and it is simply a server-side switch to enable the feature and particular accounts. I was wondering if it would be possible to manually turn on the feature to spoof the server into thinking you had the feature and therefore enabling it on your account.
Please correct me if any of this information is incorrect or unfeasible.

I currently have this feature and it appeared in my main account randomly, because it's a beta feature for only some IG accounts. I can't tell you if you could "force" the app to have it, but I assume it's impossible. The only way is to wait I think.

Has anyone managed to get Family Link working on a Redmi Note 3 Pro?
I've tried with stock global fasboot rom's (stable and developer) and get a error after login with child's account, that mentions minimum requirements of android version and Google Play Services.
Also tried several customs rom's (Nougat, Oreo and Pie), with the same result...
I know Family Link works on custom rom's, because I had it on my Moto G 2014 (Titan), with Lineage 14.1.

Now in todays world even kids know how to factory reset the phone and blast the family link. If u set the timer for them for gaming. They will know. They dont like others spyin or controlling them. If they find out u controlling their phone. They will sign up with different google account.:laugh:

Bypassing Family Link may be somewhat easy, doing it without me finding out it's a little bit trickier...
But my question isn't about the advantages or disadvantages of parental control in smartphones.
I tried also setting a family link child account in pocophone, and still get the message with the requirements, although the phone is running android O.
Maybe it's Xiaomi incompatibility?

I dont think its anything to do with hardware compatibility.
Are u sure all ur kids phone have android oreo.
Go to google product forums and search keywords family link doesnt work. May be u will find some answers.

If ur kids phone gps is turned off. Can u remotely activate gps and check his location? also can u remotely activate his sim data on.
How google family link is unique ? Is there any alternative app ?
Family link it's very complete in features, but one of the main reasons I want to use it is because of my daughter's Google account, that already as lot's of data, photos, messages, contacts...
It is a child account, and I can't log in on any phone without family link.

I think u cant use it if ur kid is 13 and above. Also Now they have split family link into 2 apps For parents and children.
Also check if ur phone and kids phone shouldnt be rooted. May be Selinux for all phones should be enforcing and not permissive. I m Not sure if it is requirement. I m just saying.
Are u on custom rom?
Also i think strong apps likes family link should be system app and should be included in gapps package which cant be uninstalled easily. And can be removed only from recovery.
And it should not be user app. User app are easy to trick and can be easily uninstalled.

I can live without it, and create a new adult account for my daughter, but this problem is getting really frustrating, and it's making my ocd twitch...

You can install telegram and direct chat with devs on telegram chat. May be they might give some answers. Search and join any kenzo group or any specific rom groups.
So I finally got Family Link working with Kenzo.
I flashed miui global stable through miflash and relocked the bootloader, and it worked.
As mentioned, in Moto G 2014, with unlocked bootloader, family link works fine, so maybe it's xiaomi thing...
I prefer global dev (miui 10), but I'm tired of changing roms

Any MiFlash I can't run properly on my PC. If you could advise me where you downloaded the functional MiFlash and the official ROM, I would be grateful for this valuable information. The support says it works on iphone and "normal" Android. (The whole Volkswagen login thing is based on this. So I really believe it works "normally") But I am also sure it does not work on _my_ lineage.... As expected my browser (any browser) opens with an error...
And this is as it should work, I think. But how does it work on all the other phones
(the support also says it _only_ works on smartphones. So there is something happening I don't understand. Something like the OS scanning the URL and passing it to the right app.)

the Browser didn't refresh after submit, I guess.

the link doesn't work "as it is" according to the weshare-support.
It magically only works on the phone.... ( it is supposed to work there, the support tells me. )
Ahhh, after one week chatting with the support this diskussion with you gave the right hint!
As you confirmed that the OS does not interfere I had the idea that therefore somehow the browser might pass the token back to the OS somehow..... (I am not a developer)
So I installed chrome on the smartphone and "alas" it works!!!
(chrome on the PC gives xda-open... error which is a hint as well.)
So I _have_ to use Chrome :-(
I already came across the next "bug". The street I live in exists twice in this city but the app only lets me choose the first "hit". So my postal number will be wrong! WTF....
As far as I know, this specially formatted URL like "umi-weshare://authorize?blabaasdas" is called an app link or a deep link.
There are many similar deep links.
For example, some URLs as below:
market://details?id=xadave.SmartUnitConverterFree_Google
amzn://apps/android?asin=B00Q3V4VNC
......
If you enter the second deep link above in the address bar of your mobile browser, it will open up the Amazon Appstore app on your mobile device and directly link to the detail page for a specific app which is available on the Amazon Appstore.
And the first app link will open up the Google Play Store app on your Android devices and directly link to some app in the Play Store.
So, I think your app link, "umi-weshare://authorize?blabaasdas", will link into your weshare app, too.
Android App Links are a special type of deep link that allow your website URLs to immediately open the corresponding content in your Android app (without requiring the user to select the app).
