Well before I try to talk to the company that makes this device I figured I would ask here to see if anybody has experience with this device. It is a RFID reader phone that my company uses for reading RFID tags. Well it looks like it came down with a virus (or came with one as it came from ebay) and the RFID reader app has been deleted. The Invengo website is not very informative about there devices and I was wondering if anybody here may have a fastboot image for this device or no where to get one? I mean it is a shot in the dark but, why not ask the good people of XDA Forums. Thanks in advance.

Hey Guys,
I recently got a HTC HD2 as a gift from a friend. I am loving this phone - such a huge screen (I used iPhone 4 recently and it seemed so small then), amazing touch sense and overall experience.
I have been browsing the XDA forums for quite some time. I have few issues/queries that I want to get cleared up:
1. My HTC is locked to T-mobile, USA and I am in Canada. I have been unsuccessful in getting it unlocked. I contacted couple of shops who claimed to unlock it through the code but cudn't get the code. Anybody has any idea why is it hard to get HTC HD2 unlock code? I read somewhere that my IMEI number belongs to the new T-mobile series. Cud that be a problem? What do you guys suggest on getting my phone unlocked? One of the shops told me that they might have to flash the ROM but I don't know what that means....which brings to us to my next question...
2. What does "Flashing the ROM" means? It is about rewiring the ROM? I heard there are custom ROMs. What are custom ROMs? I need to figure out this ROM stuff. I know what is a ROM....I just want to know how this thing and different jargons work wrt Mobile phones.
3. Is there is any benefit of running Andriod (Froyo) on my mobile? I would love to have Andriod since WinMo has forced me to reset the phone more than I have resetted my previous smartphones per year. But, I think Andriod is still in development mode. What are your views on this issue?
I am going to browse the forums more and try to be active here. I hope these queries are a good point to start here.
Thanks in advance.

LMAO! commical how uninformed supposed phone technicians are, , ,no, flashing will have no effect at all on sim lock.
but I don't know what that means....which brings to us to my next question...

think of the windows cd rom, , you put it into a blank computer, and it installs itself, , well a rom is kinda like that. A big file that, when you hard reset (or immediately after a flash) installs itself, complete with all included software, onto your phone. If you flash a new rom, its like using a different windows cd. 'chefs' can 'cook' roms, , get rid of operator added rubbish, add tweaks and programs, etc etc.

read, then read more, then read again. Read the stuff youdont understand too, be a knowledge sponge, soak it alllll up. Everything (and i do mean everything) that you want to ask has alerady been asked, and usually answered, if you trawl through enough threads.
Hello everyone,
I have the G1 since he is out, and now the Huawei X5 since I don't have a lot of money to buy an expensive and good phone like the S2 or the Nexus S.
One thing that always interested me a lot was the Custom Rom for all kind, available to the G1 and now the Huawei X5.... But one thing is missing, I've been trying to make my own custom rom, porting from one device to another but I don't really know how to do that :S...
I know that the Huawei X5 and the HTC Desire Z are very similar phones (same CPU, GPU, RAM and Screen Size). Some roms that have been ported to the Huawei almost all are based in HTC Desire / Z roms.
I've been trying to port myself a HTC Sense Ui rom to that phone, but I really don't know how to start :S... I don't mind of having a lot of bugs to correct, I don't mind of having a lot of scripting and hard programming in Java or C to do that, I love programming in all kind of languages, and I have created a few apps for Android, but only one reached the Market since the others are just testes (like games), so I really don't mind to have an hard work. As I like to say, learn is always I good thing, more if it is something that we like.
So I'm asking, for someone who knows how to do it to help me. I don't need someone to do the work for me, and I don't need an extensive tutorial with pictures. I just need, if possible, a simple example, and the necessary tools, the rest I will try to search myself.
Thank in Advance for all of you that take their time to answer me.
And I'm really sorry for my Horrible English :S...
Luis Da Costa,
+1
i want to know too
I think its impossible .
it's very hard to port a sense rom from HTC device to another HTC device.

Moving to Q&A
Hi,
So it been a month that I am testing some china phone, Gionee has some of really good quality. Well build, top materials and great quality of displays too.
The problem with this phones is that there is no custom rooms for them and to be honest the software (android) SUCKS!!!
What I want to do is to build my own "MOD" to run on those phone. I know java quite well.
So my question is,,, What to I need to start learning to be a developer? I know that is a bit of an abstract question, but I need an advise. I have read all the posts from XDA University but the thing is. On that site you only explain how and android phone works.
I want to know what do I need to learn to build a kernel? Where do i find libraries? How to build a Bootloader? and finally how do I get that to work with the radio?
Rom Development Section
Search at Rom Development section...
There are really good guides in that section...
Hi all, so it seems our device isnt getting much support or anything so I've decided to take the plunge try to learn something about porting and see if i can port something to our device... for me its not such a risk as the phone was basically a gift so if it gets bricked ill be sad but not end of the world sad...
so first off i have a few questions
1 the code name all the phones seem to have dev codenames... and of course i notices in the jmz kernal we are downloading the a3ul kernal. so is this the actual name for our phone.. i ask because there are some stock roms and i thought i could maybe make these the base to start from...
2 can you give me some ideas of comparable phones i checked the htc mini one and two while close they both have different cams so i would like suggestions as to other devices so i can try downloading roms and taking them apart to see what i can find out...
3 to any devs, could you recommend some good sites to give me basics in either A)-porting a rom for us, B)-compiling a rom from some source or lastly and really hope leastly the idea of developing something myself somehow...
thanks
Im no developer, but I have recently been looking into this myself and the XDA University seems to hold some fairly thorough guides, I have just not had the time to start anything yet

Hi,
i bought a Lineagoo T8s phone.
I really like it, it's fast and had a good price. I jus thught i try it to buy directly in China.
I can't see if there is any bloatware, it seems just like a ROM without bloatware.
Anyway i would like o know if there is or if someone is working on a rom for this device?
Previously i used my Samsung S2 to update to Android 7. But the usb connector is defective. Soldering the pins is no longer an option.(i could buy a new connector but...)
THanks for any guidance.

Well, there are a lot of devices here and there, especially in China, that have a lot of alternative brands.
The problem is that often, the Brand doesn't release what we call the Kernel source, with which we can build a ROM, or TWRP (or another recovery).
So I'll advice you to search for those before buying, if you're interested in buying a new phone, knowing that well known brands often provide the kernel source.
You can even base your future phone on what you see on the XDA "Top" devices.
Or ask here:

Have a good day

Merci,
that's a good tip for next time.
I also had a WIko Jerry in between, Wiko provides the Original ROM, Don't know if that's enough. Never saw i here, but probably because it was a louzy phone and when it was released not so known yet.
Thanks for your answer.
Cordialement.
