Stuck in a bootloop - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Using a Moto X Play I previously rooted my phone using SuperSU and TWRP. Today I tried to unroot my phone and ran into issues and used the recovery to just go back to an old state I had a year ago. Unfortunately, doing so has left me in a boot loop. I've tried wiping cache + data + dalvik. Nothing seems to work. I get back to setup screen(where I have to connect to wifi and such) before crashing again.

[Q] HyDrOG3N-ICS 13.05 - Weird bootloop

A couple of nights ago, I accidentally let my phone die. It must have been doing something important, because I kept getting force closes on all stock apps and also apps that required root including superuser. I rebooted to see if that fixed the problem but it didn't boot up after, I figured it wouldn't be a problem and deleted my cache and dalvik and rebooted. The phone booted to the lockscreen saying "Upgrading android, Optimizing x of x applications" but I noticed that when it got to the 33rd app, it would suddenly go very fast and the phone would crash to the boot animation (not the boot logo) on "starting applications". It wouldn't boot back up until I did a hard reboot. After a while, I realized it wasn't going to fix itself and just wiped and re flashed everything. I did restore some user apps in tb and everything was fine. On the next day, i made sure that the battery didn't die but i woke up to the same force closes and bootloop when i rebooted. Tried to delete cache and dalvik again to see if i could reproduce the problem but now it wont boot past the animation at all.
Im using siyah 3.2.7.2 and my second rom (which boots fine) is Pure ics
EDIT: On 3.3.1 now, doesn't make a difference

[Q] Stuck in bootloop

I am rooted but running stock ICS via the last OTA update. For the last few days, my RAZR has rebooted randomly when I would tap on an app notification from my status bar. It did not make a difference what the app was that I tapped the notification for. Sometimes it would reboot, sometimes not. This morning I woke up around 3 AM and tapped a notification. Of course my phone rebooted and now is stuck in the reboot animation. I tried booting into recovery, wiping cache, and rebooting. It did not work. After a couple of hours I gave up and decided to reset the phone to factory settings. Ah success or so I thought. I started to set the phone back up again but the phone rebooted and is once again stuck in bootloop. I am stuck now on what to do. Any suggestions?
I'd be using RSD software to flash a different stock Rom. Here is how and all you need:

Just confirming that I've got an Australian RAZR, bought from Optus and I've flashed the European UK version without any problem. After RSD does the job, you may have to boot into Recovery and wipe the cache and data, just in case you get stuck in a bootloop.

[Q] Factory reset from settings --> boot loop

My daughter's i9300 started resetting itself without control. Today it got unmanageable and a successful boot became impossible.
Looking around, I found a thread suggesting that the power button switch is the culprit.
Indeed, after removing the switch, everything worked fine. Had major issues starting the phone, but eventually it started, so I was good to go.
I rooted it, installed latest TWRP and Resurrection ROM. The ROM was a random pick more or less, I had it on my LG G3 at some point and I wanted lollipop.
All fine and dandy, I was able to get into the phone. However, data wasn't wiped even though I selected it for wiping in recovery (probably didn't select the right thing...). So I went to settings and chose factory reset with wiping all data.
This lead to phone rebooting to recovery, but TWRP logo just flashes every few seconds without ever getting to recovery itself.
How can I make this phone work again? Any ideas?
Boot into download mode then flash a full stock rom with Odin. If that works then factory reset in recovery before testing.
You may find the firmware won't flash, as it sounds like your nand memory is worn.

Moto X 2013 (xt1058) wont boot

I've had CM12/12.1 installed on my motoX 2013 for a few months now and have had no problems. Last night when i tried to type in my password my phone would just freeze. I restarted it and eventually i got in and went to disable the password. On the way there it crashed again and now when ever i try to start my phone it just gets stuck at the warning bootloader unlocked screen. I can get into fastboot and when i go to my recovery it just gets stuck on the teamwin screen. This happened without me changing anything, no update or anything. I reflashed my recovery and i was now able to access it i cleared my cache and dalvik cache and was now able to access my phone. After using it around a few minutes after my phone crashed again and now i have the same problem, except the dalvik cache wont wipe. What do i do? :crying:

my phone is stuck in bootloop, but sometimes im able to turn it on

i had my phone for about 2 years, it has been rooted ever since i got it and its running custom rom and custom recovery CM 13 on android 5.0.1 and TWRP . about a week ago i was charging my phone, when i unlocked it, i'm unable to go to the home screen because whenever i do that, google app crashed and the phone redirected me to the recently used app tabs, then i tried to reboot my phone and it went to safe mode but then i restarted it and its stuck on bootloop. so i let it be for a while, then it show the "android is starting" tab and "optimizing app number "xxx" out of "xxx" and after it finished, again it is stuck in CM's logo. however, then i put my phone to fastboot an restarted it and i dont know, it turned on again after 2 boot loops. a week after, my phone ran out of battery so i tried to turn it on but it wont , after reading threads on the internet, it suggested me to erase the cache and the dalvik cache. so i did and it turned on. today, i ran out of battery again and i erased both cache and dalvik cache, but it wont turn on.. i have no idea what's going on with my phone, and im a newbie so please go easy on me thank you.
