Contrast is ok and not so crispy and clear but cant complaint as uses the old hardware, technology and a budget phone. We cant ask for more here

HONOR 5x is not amoled so its not true black

if it means for the price tag, i would say, its more than ok
its nice for its price range
No complaint here for this budget phone for last year
The blacks are a little more brighter than I expected.

I don't care too much about overhyped amoled "true black" but I love the true white and much more natural looks of an ips panel. The display contrast, brightness and overall visibility of the Mate 9 is just perfect.
The Mate 9 preferably has an nice IPS LCD display.
The Mate 9 Pro an Mate 9 Porsche have amoled, as I have read.

Not much good. There is slight 'white-ish' feel on black color.
