I have the P9 and I prefer how pro mode is implemented there -- swipe "up" to access the pro mode. Also, good if honor enable/ disable the mode to flip/ mirror image when using Light Painting - Graffiti.
I really like ho honor still includes ir blaster. It's very convenient.
Camera modes are awesome.
there are some bugs in updates which is being addressed by OTA updates but overall easy to use software
love emui 5 on this beautiful device
loving it.
Couldn't ask for more.

Bloated UI. Every EMUI theme looks like some little child`s drawing. Not worth it.
emui4 has a lot issues, poor ram management plus lots of bloats, there are lots of customisation options but could have been better id they make the ui a lil bit lighter
Filled with bloat. Not good.
Features are just right. No more no less.

EMUI was a difference when this was launched but then it was not a big hit..no comparison to EMUI 5 at all.
emui 3 wasnt really great.

Sorry, I didn't tried Miui for a long time. Custom Roms FTW! ?
It has some goods and bads, but I didn't like it, it's highly bloated, the design is kinda good; but a lot of the elements looks like a cheap iOS copy, the notification is totally stupid (I was using Android N before getting this phone, which has a way much better notification system)..
And finally the stock ROM is very bad battery wise, it used to drain a lot of battery on standby, and for the first time i see that display isn't what took most of the battery instead it was Android system as shown by the phone's battery stats..
The UI is clean and fast with their new MIUI 9 update, that does come close stock Android in terms to speed, you cannot compare that to iOS because there's originality in the software itself, but comparably the best skin on Android than others majorly, it's so user friendly and loaded with loads of customisations!!!, you can try it
I know it's a late post. I was thinking of flashing a custom ROM since I bought the phone, but you know what, the thing which people call bloat isn't bloat for me really, I mean those apps which come preinstalled actually work and are great for daily usage, for example, I don't have to search play store for a good wireless remote app, it's there already and works for everything which I used it with; similarly, nearly all those apps are actually good except the MI app store . So, I slowly felt that I didn't really required a custom ROM, MIUI performs well up to the mark and is obviously more stable than other custom ROMs, further, I've the phone rooted and MIUI optimizations turned off in dev options, so that I don't have to care about apps and services being turned off in background.
Conclusion: I'd recommend MIUI.
[for UI issues, I'd say, use Nova launcher and you can't do anything about the cheap iOS UI copied elements, but hey, they aren't that bad anyway!]

Feels not as fast as some other phones but still faster than many.
One thing is sorely missed. The double tap to camera. That hampers the speed of taking a picture.
Also the opening of camera app takes its own sweet time.

There's a shortcut for camera. Double tap volume up to capture. I use it a lot.
One of the faster!!
pretty fast and no lag or wait time
its really fast i must say
No delays of any kind.

Simple, effective, perfect.
Not great but this is not unexpected for a pure Android. Comes with almost no software at all and you have to go find this or that app. Doesn't play well with my car's Bluetooth connection. Would be nice if more apps used the entire screen. Customization less than stellar.

I had problems with my car's bluetooth. What fixed it for me was to go into Settings -> Battery -> Battery Optimization from the menu. Switch to "All Apps" and set Bluetooth MIDI Service and Bluetooth Share to "Not Optimized". Works perfectly now.
The skin will affect the gig wireless connection, e.g. 360 camera and future peripherals. We're not talking about the pogo pin power connectors here. I'll avoid it if I can.

you are talking abou a skin protector. This thread is about the User Interface skin over Android OS
Just jumped ship from a Nexus 6P and I don't feel like I've missed a beat besides going back in time a month to before Oreo. However the scrolling jitter is a big smudge on the usability. If/when that gets fixed, it should be great.
I agree.

This is a great phone especially for the money. I use the Apex launcher and that makes it even better. The only real criticism I have is that the cameras are a little iffy. Some pictures are not as sharp as others. I give the overall phone five stars. Maybe an update would fix the minor camera problem. The only other problem is that I really like the fingerprint sensor on the back. Using the various screen lock apps makes the phone wake up needing the password. The fingerprint sensor simply doesn't work using a screen lock app.
I loved this phone however there are some bugs like dialer is not a google one eventhough it is a AndroidOne phone and there are some bugs with cellular network.
mynonly issue is the camera but i dont too many photos so im not that bothered, and the rest of the phone is great
Nice Camera in its range but do need bit more improvement.
It's been less than 2r4 hours and so far I am loving this phone. A great device at a great price point.
Pluses:
+ Pure Android (7.1.2 at the moment)
+ Timely updates (not really, Android 8.0 was released months ago and there's no sign of it)
+ Relatively fast and bloat free
+ 3.5mm audio jack
+ Price at Chinese etailers (~$210)
+ Dual SIM or single SIM + microSD
Minuses:
- In low light conditions the camera sucks completely and video recording is just awful; also no OIS or EIS
- Snapdragon 625 severely underperforms
- Huge bezels
- No stereo speakers
- Automatic brightness on my device doesn't work correctly - the phone is too dim in a bright environment and too bright in a dim environment
- No kernel sources yet - really Xiaomi??
IOW we need Nexus to be resuscitated. Pixels are too expensive.
Simple, smooth, no bloatware.
Pretty satisfied!!!
Great value for money
I feel it is a solid phone, but the design is boring. Probably after 5 years you won't have many memories about this phone, whereas some people have fond memories of other phones (like many people had about old Nokias or Walkman phones).
1. awesome value for money
2. love the build quality
3. fast + smooth + stock OS
4. great storage capacity
5. the camera is so so.. it could do so much more with the proper software (side loaded with GCam HDR+)
and this MiA1 is my daily warrior until 2 years ahead
Love it.

I dun understand why ppl crazy abt bezeless phones ... wat I know it's gonna hurt (spider web screen) so much once it dropped.
I think it's terrific. Best phone I've used since the OnePlus One. No idea about the camera as I haven't used it (and probably won't use it much even when I get round to it - I'm a man in his 40s, not a selfie-obsessed teenager), but it does everything I need.
It's nice and light, build quality looks good, monthly security patches and Android updates before just about any other phone on the market. For 165 quid, it's outrageous value. Love it.
This is the best phone for me - it can give EVERYTHING a developer wants. The Chipset supports Machine Learning SDKs, the device has a Dual camera system which serves waaaay more than enough if you don't shoot 24/7. The performance is great and Android One serves the best software experience. The device feels a lot more expensive and premium than it is.
I'm very very happy with this phone now it has oreo, I'm not one to moan about waiting for update and this was worth the wait because they fixed the multi touch sensitivity problem so all is good here

You can love anything in life and as many and as much as you wish... It's a choice. There are no rules. Grow up kido.
And I also love this phone, almost everything about it. Except a little squeek sound when I squeeze it... My bad luck! [emoji39]
Did I say I LOVE IT??? ???
