I've just got my Huawei Mediapad T1 8.0 8gb only wifi tablet and I was sorry to see that the newest official Android is 4.3, so I would like to install some custom ROM
I'm thinking about 5.1 but the newer the better. So far I found one or two.pages on google but they didn't look trustworthy, they had screenshots of phones, the articles referred to the device as phone, and I would.like to.avoid an scam or damage to my tablet. My question is do you think that there's some great newer android for my device?

I got yesterday a Mediapad M1 8.0 4G (S8-301LV ..... ). It comes with Android 4.2
I readed Lollipop improves performance. Somebody knows if it's possible to upgrade M1 to 5.0, or some newer version than 4.2?
About upgrade to 5.0 I found some blog posts but I don't trust (they point info is here, but here there are any info), and I found too other posts about 4.4.2, but don't fits the samen number S8-301U, S8-303U and so on.
Some light please?

P.S.: I don't have any clue right now with device, I just searched just if it's interesting to upgrade.

MediaPad M1 S8-301W & S8-301L have already released 4.4 firmware but not for the S8-301U version. May be the near future they could release Lollipop upgrade with EMUI 2.0 or 2.3 but not with EMUI 3.0 because i have researched all EMUI 3.0 released phones have 2GB of ram so MediaPad M1 has 1GB of ram.

Dear Sanup2006,
Huawei is about to launch Mediapad X2 (successor to X1). It runs on 5.0 Lollipop with EMUI 3.0. So, my advise don't buy X1 and rather go for X2.

Lollipop is only available for the X2.

I have same model, i never found a custom rom for it, i'm sad that 4.3 is verry old android for it...so i hope that someone will port a rom sometime...
Hello, Please take my cordinal loves. And give me the best solution which u know about it. So, lets start. I have a Huawei smartphone. Whose model number is CAM-L21, Provided in the whole world as Huawei Y6 II. Its another model is Honor 5A. Which is very similar as Y6 II. And If I compare both , thats seems like a TwinBaby
no difference. just provided as honor 5a, Y6II in different country. I had heard that, the Huawei Y6II (@BANGLADESH) won't get any Nougat 7 update. but I search in Google for it. but it showed that honor 5a is nougat upgradable.
then I fell shocked.
then I searched for a nougat custom rom for Y6II. bit alas I found nothing. then I searched for honor 5a custom rom, and I get a lot of roms for it.
NOW MY QUESTION IS= CAN I INSTALL THE CUSTOM ROM OF HONOR 5A IN MY HUAWEI Y6II. IS IT BE THE CAUSE OF BRICK? CAN MY DEVICE GET BRICK?

I'm really tired of this Rom do you have any recommendation to update to a Android 10 or a better custom Rom ?
It's look like nothing is compatible.
