Hello,
I have a Nextbit Robin phone and sound quality (for me and for my interlocutors) is very bad during a normal call with bluetooth headsets (I've tried with 2 differents headsets which work fine with another phone). I don't have any problem during a voIP call such as Discord. Sound call quality is OK without bluetooth headset.
I have tried stock rom, paranoid and lineage OS.
Help ! :fingers-crossed:

I have the same problem, The voice gets routed to the bluetooth headset, but nothing happens afterwards, cannot hear or be heard!
When changing the audio the the speaker or earpiece, audio works fine.
I have a Jabra Extreme2 and on LFB latest stock with no root or any modifications.
This only happens on Gtalk, otherwise the bluetooth works fine with calls and anything else, oh also skype is funny with the bluetooth as well, not stable!
Is it a general thing of my combination of software, SGS3 and Jabra Extreme2?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Using :
Galaxy SII wth Cyanogenmod 10.2-201312-14
Skoda Octavia built-in Amundsen gps/BT carkit
My SII is paired with my Skoda BT carkit. No issues to pair whatsoever, connects fine everytime, can play music OK, can receive phone calls OK.
However when I make an outgoing call, sound is almost always of very poor quality. It is cracked and very diffcult to understand (people on the other end also have bad quality). I have tried to do the pairing again, no change. Deactivated audio to have only BT headset, no change.
The strange thing is that incoming calls have perfect sound quality. And with stock ROM I never had such problem.
Can anyone help? Thanks !
By the way, tested on an Audi A4 handsfree kit, same result ...
I've bought a pair of bluetooth stereo headphones with mic. I've connected them successfully and both options for phone audio and media are enabled. I can listen to media, music and audio from apps. The problem is when i place a call. Although on the call screen at the bottom left the bluetooth icon is selected the call's audio is redirected to the phone's earpiece not to the bluetooth. The same headphones work great with another phone i checked. I have tried everything from dev, stable roms to aosp rom.The problem persists on call. I've tried mono bluetooth and calling works great. I've tried the sound about app and all the same.I've tried google dialer but also the same problem. So i am left with a bluetooth headset that i can only listen to music and not place a call.Any help or idea?
I am also facing the same problem. The Bluetooth connection displays - "Connected (no phone)". The Bluetooth headset works fine for phone media but doesn't work for calls. Anyone is able to use a Bluetooth device with Redmi NOte4 please?
I've been using Bluetooth on RN4 on nougat. However, I faced the issue you're describing only on Oreo ROMS.

this is a bug prevalent in all oreo roms, however some say that in omni rom, bluetooth call audio works, so maybe you can try that out

It works in Atomic OS Plasma (Oreo).
BTW, there is a list of Oreo ROMs here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/help/extensive-list-oreo-roms-mido-t3741277
Yes exact same problem cannot enjoy call via bluetooth headset. I think it's manufacturer defect in the phone. Cheap Bluetooth hardware Xiaomi placed I guess
I got a pair of Bluetooth headphones for Christmas , I connected to them and they worked fine and still do. However my phone can't make any sound now.
The sound only works with those headphones, it does not work with other headphone or speakers using Bluetooth or the headphone jack and not without anything connected.
When I say all sound I mean all sounds, incoming, outgoing calls, alarms etc.
Would love some help on the issue. Thanks!

Hello,
I've bought the Anker Soundcore Liberty air and they work great with Poco F1 but when I do anything microphone related the other person from the line hears me fine but I hear a loud buzzing sound, this is present everywhere, google assistant, sound recording apps, calls and others, it's very weird, does anyone know why? On all my other devices the earphones are working just fine.
I'm on the latest version of lineage with the franco kernel, I've already tried doing a clean flash or switching roms but nothing seems to work.
Please help.
