Disclaimer : I do not benefit in any way for saying anything good or bad about these products. I am giving you guys my honest opinion on these cases to help provide some assistance on buying a case.
Let’s start with the first case I bought from them.
Orzly Flexicase (Clear)
Link to the case: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B072MZCQB6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_dp_T1_v8mFzb704M66R
Price :£12.99
Things I like: Simple case, adds much need grip to the OnePlus5. Doesn't detract from the overall phones aesthetic or feel. , Good lip around the camera bump and the front.
Things of concern: It's a simple case, it's mainly there to prevent scratches. Not going to protect your phone from anything major
Comments: I really like this case, there is a craft to a making something simple and effective and this is it. No fancy features it just protects your phone from scratches, adds grip and protects from small drops. It doesn't over stay it's welcome and I congratulate on that.
I was happy with my purchase at the price I paid but since it has gone down. I think anyone wanting a simple case you can't really go wrong with this.
Also like to note, I haven't had problems with any holes in the case. Some people on other forums have asked me about the quality of the finish. No evident problems with the finish of my case.

Orzly Wallet Case (Black)
Link to the case : https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B072QV1VRT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_dp_T1_qInFzbCVEWP0X
Price: £14.99
Things I like: Protects the screen while it’s closed, Magnet keeps the wallet closed well, Effective card slots and pocket slot, Effective stand, I like the case that holds the phone in the wallet, not too bulky.
Things of concern: It’s a wallet case, people either love them or hate them.
Comments: I had this case for my HTC 10 and they have improved this case immensely. Now having three card slots instead of two allows me to take my bank card, ID and my public transport card without having to double up in the slots (That can create further issues). The main issue with last years was the case that held the phone in place. Last year was a hard shell, now throughout my time working with phones, more than half of wallet cases I have seen have broken inner shells because they use a hard shell inside. This year they have basically taken the great Flexicase design and used it as the holder for the wallet case. That was a great move and make the wallet case great.
For a wallet case, this is a solid wallet case. You can’t really go wrong with it.

Orzly Slim Stand Case
Link to the case : https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B073S7BWQQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Price:£12.99
Things I like: THIS THING IS SLIM, the case itself may be the lowest profile case I have used on the OnePlus5, The stand can withstand a lot, stand can be rotated in different ways.
Things of concern: This case may not work with some in-car phone holders, the stand bulges out and made it hard for my vent holder to hold it.
Comments: I picked up this case because I was intrigued. I didn’t think I would like it but I really did! The case has a really nice soft touch finish and provides protection for the camera bump which is surprising as the case is really low profile , it provides a very small lip on the front so it may or may not protect the phone from if you put your phone screen down. The case doesn’t really take much away from the buttons which is nice.
The ring stand is really handy, A couple of times I’ve used it. I do find myself playing with the ring stand itself and hanging my phone off my finger, the case fits very well I can trust that my phone will stay there hanging. The stand really is quite strong. I can put a lot of force on the stand and it didn’t feel like it would break, (I have posted a video demoing that) The things I would say is that I would like the stand to have different standing points, it would be nice to have the phone to stand at different angles, while this isn’t a major thing, I thought I’d point it out.
I really like this case, nuff said.

Orzly Fusion Case
Link to the case : https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B072MPYX9Y/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
Price: £9.99
Things I like: Not bulky, feels like it would protect the case.
Things of concern: Can’t think of anything…
Comments: This is the case I have on my OnePlus5, I really like it. It’s like the FlexiCase but better. This honestly feels like this case has been designed by someone who’s wanting a make a case for themselves. There is extra grip points around parts of the case which your hand is in contact with. That’s a smart move. There is some little feet on the back around the clear back, this is a expert level move from Orzly, clear plastic scratches easily by doing this the plastic clear back from the ground. The clear back is quite hard and seems like it could withstand a drop, this is the motto of this case: it’s solid.

Comments About Orzly
One thing I have noticed is Orzly has revamped their packaging. It’s more like you would see in a shop and has nice little touches to them. Having a little tab to pull to open the box and having nice information (To read on the toilet obviously) adds to the over. Here is some photos : http://imgur.com/a/vZ4eu
Please ask any questions and if this helped someone, if you liked it I may do more.
Thanks so much for this. I agree with the flexicase and slim case, both have been great for me and I have already used the stand on the slim case for a train journey. Worked out great. I am looking forward to receiving my fusion bumper case from the reviews both you and niijonodhg have been giving!
Thanks for your review. Can't decide between slim stand and fusion case. I don't like a lot of bulk as the phone itself isn't the smallest one and I like to keep the look of it. Generally I'm very very careful with my phones but
Unfortunately I already cracked my screen (first time ever). Currently in repair.

Ouch hopefully you get it back soon! As for the slim case, it has virtually no screen protection but the stand is very useful and it is also a grippy case. You can put your finger in the ring part while your using it to help you stop dropping it.
I've made your decision even harder

If it helps, my favourite case so far has been the Fusion!

Yes you do make it harder ?. I never used cases mainly for protection but more for the extra grip but dropping my OP5 makes me reconsider this. But when I dropped it I didn't have any case installed so it was pretty slippy. Maybe I try both cases as they are not that expensive .

Getting both of them might be a good option. My favorite is the fusion but the slim case is really good. The slim case adds grip to the phone without much bulk or extraprotection where as the fusion is really grippy as well as adding more protection.

Yeah the stand feature for me is a must. Personally I prefer the Wallet Case version, as it's got that extra bit of screen protection with the fordable lid. But they're all nice in different ways.

Any stand is nice really, what I like about the slim stand case though is that you can put your finger in the ring and it will mean your phone cant drop, very useful actually
Just received my Orzly Fusion today and have to say: that thing is amazing! Adds minimal bulk but seems to be good protection. And the best thing is that it adds so much grip to the phone and makes it really comfortable to use.

I also received mine today and I completely agree with everything.
I had the Ringke case on my Nexus 6P, which had the same type of back plastic and I know for a fact it does not yellow over time.
I also have a dBrand skin on my phone, and the case fit perfectly over it with no hassle at all. Dragon Skin with Orange Logo and Camera Cutout.
I also have the Orzly Tempered glass installed and the case fits perfectly around the glass as it should... Since it's from the same company.

In short, I am extremely disappointed in this case and feel ripped off for having to paying $30 for a case that is worth, at MOST $5.Pictures: http://imgur.com/a/jYJuw#0
Pros:
Visually attractive at a glance.
Buttons do work.
Case leaves enough room for large headphone plugs to fit with ease.
Although I do not have a magnetic charger, there appears to be plenty of room for it to fit as long as the adapter isn't too wide.
Cons:
Bumper is plastic and very flimsy. I fully except it to shatter if my phone is ever dropped.
Extremely overpriced for the quality of case provided.
Buttons feel cheap (I can't believe they are metal), are loosely fitted, meaning they rattle when phone is shook.
The part of the bumper closest to the screen that surrounds the USB port and magnetic charger is very very fragile and can be moved almost to the point of snapping without much effort.
After picking up my T-Mobile Z3 on Wednesday I quickly went online to find a case to protect my phone. I was very much disappointed to find that there are hardly any quality cases available, especially in the US. After researching a bit, it seemed like Case-Mate was the best option there was and I put in an order for the Slim Tough.
My case came today (Saturday) and after using it for a few hours I have written this review.
If you have any questions, please ask.

Wow this is extremely disappointing I was really looking foward to getting mine on Monday. Do you feel it is at least better protection then the Ringke Fusion (as I know you have that too. It is such a shame a nice phone like the Z3 has such limited case options.

I actually do not have the Ringke Fusion so I cannot make a proper comparison.
I do know that the rubber TPU on this case is the best part and offers good protection against scratches and light bumps. It also would offer the most protection against a drop as it would absorb most of the impact. The bumper (which keeps the TPU on), on the other hand, will offer no protection and will likely shatter or break upon impact.

I agree, I'm sometimes hard on my devices. This looked like possibly a replacement for the Otterbox Commuter I used on another phone - thin and durable. Still looking for something similar.

I will give my thoughts on Monday when I get my hands on mine but I do have a feeling I will feel the same. I guess I will be atleast a little happy if its better then the Ringke Fusion I have right now (which isn't going to be hard to top) Then I can continue my search for an even better case.
Lets hope in the coming month we have some better options It's good that T Mobile is selling the phone as that might help get some people making some cases but it stinks there is no main stream companies other then case-mate making a case for the Z3.

I have to say I feel nearly the same as Christian, Looking at it it does look like a nice case but digging deeper you find some issues.
The buttons are extremely cheap and do rattle and have no clickyness to them what so ever. the plastic bumper does feel flimsy but I don't think it would crack if dropped because of the TPU behind it. However I think if you took the case off the wrong way and bent it it could easily crack. I also don't like the bulkyness it added to the width of the phone. Before I was using the case (and even with the Rinke Fusion the phone felt nice in the hand but now with the case it feels overly wide.
It does with with the Nilkin Tempered Glass Screen Protector (Barely) which is nice and I have a feeling will work with my magnetic connector (will test when I get home.
Overall I think I like it a little better then Christian and will use it over my Rinke Fusion (because I feel it has better protection) I will still be on the lookout for another case which after spending as much as I did on the case-mate is disappointing.
Overall I give it a 5/10
Well unfortunately this case is completely dead for me as it does not work with the magnetic charger port even with the cutout so back to the Rinke for me.
Where did you get the case from online? It's temporarily unavailable on Casemate's website and I can't find it anywhere else besides MobileFun (whose shipping is ridiculous)
Ebay matey.
But i'm form the UK, so it may well differ for you.

I got mine from the US Caste Mate store.
I just bought mine today at one of the sony stores here in Malaysia. I have to agree with what Christian has pointed out. The buttons feel cheap and it has the loose sound which makes it feel cheap despite the price of it. I am a fan of Spigen casing because of the hybrid colors and full protection in all corners and this case mate slim tough is the closest fit I found to Spigen. But having it on can't fit into my magnetic charging dock without removing the cover which I think it will break some day.. Now I just remove the dock holder and did some DIY card board to charge it with the casing on
I guess I will switch to Ringke Fusion soon and let my 90 bucks burns.. Ouch..
---------- Post added at 05:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:21 PM ----------
Btw, I decided to sell it out, who wants it can PM me. Thanks
The un symetrical looking back just bothers me. I am waiting for Spigen to give some Z3 love.
I am about 90 percent certain I will get this phone. I've searched around and all these 'best' case threads for the last month IMO are useless because they don't have any requirements other than being the 'best' case people subjectively feel about them.
Here's a much better question, as I am looking for the 'best' protective case for this phone?
bulk/weight is not much of a concern. I want to know what you all think is the case to get to not have any worries about dropping it from say 4 to 5 feet on hard surfaces. Like all day dropping and not break a sweat. So far my searching has come up with:
Ballistic Touch Jacket
Supcase heavy duty
Trident Aegis
I've used the aegis before. I like the case, and am leaning to that one. Am I missing any other cases I should consider?

This is a good case. Thick silicon bumper with a hard plastic shell. I have one on order since it seems to be the *best* protection available.
Edit: You actually linked to the Nexus 5 Ballistic. You'll certainly want the **SIX**:

This is JUNK. Unfortunately, nobody in the Chinese phone case manufacturing business seems to know squat about mixing TPU, so every cheap chinese TPU case will have a "polycarbonate hard shell" over a flexible HARD TPU shell.

This one looks... OK. If the inner layer is made of a decent soft rubber/silicon (their site seems to be very lacking in details...), it should protect the phone well. I'm not really liking the SHAPE of the outer plastic shell though, the side opposite the buttons seems to have excessive cutouts and a fairly thin band.

I have one of these right now. Its actually very good. Not the thickest silicon bumper, but decent and strikes a fair balance between bloating it out and taking care of a drop. Not a chance it would take a whole 7 foot drop to pavement like the Ballistic claims on theirs, but probably fine for 3-4 feet. For the price, its a steal.
Get the UAG Case! Don't get that cheap case the other guy has. I'm using this UAG one right now and let me tell you, it's bloody fantastic.

Long time user of Ballistic. I can attest to their durability and drop protection. FWIW, I highly recommend.
As nice as the UAG sounds, Not sure about the single body. I always feel that a soft + hard shell will offer better protection. I'll have to do some youtube searching to see who's doing drop tests with this case.

Oh and the case is basically the same as other cases with 2 shells one soft one hard, just merged together to make it thinner and lighter, but with the same amount of protection.
The ballistic case seems like it would take a good beating. Personally I think its fugly but it seems like your best bet.

They didn't deviate from their previous design. UAG cases have all been the same except for the Note 2 case. I'm glad they put out the same design for the Nexus 6. Its the reason I bought their case for my previous 3 devices. Hopefully they offer more colors in the near future. The case feels good in the had. It has plenty of grip and good drop protection. The buttons are responsive, you can tell which one it the volume and power button by touching them.
I would steer clear from heavy cases, this phone is heavy as it is. I'm using a regular supcase protector and it wears down your hand after 10 mind of use.

No it has not been tested as such. It "meets" a "standard" so loosely worded as to be utterly worthless and in no meaningful way a standard. To actually meet the standard, you have to state how you tested it specifically. And I quote from their n6 listing:
"meets military drop-test standards (MIL STD 810G 516.6)"
If they actually tested it... that blurb would have a different verb.
I think it is kind of a nice case...but, please recognize worthless cheap marketing for what it is, to sway people who don't think things through and see them for what they are.

Well, maybe not ACTUALLY military-grade tested, but it did save me a 3-4 foot drop onto my school's tile floor.
Personally I use the Ringke Max: http://www.amazon.com/Free-Screen-P...+nexus+6&pebp=1422593278769&peasin=B00OKRJNZM
I've (for some reason) always gone and gotten a Rearth (Ringke) case for my Motorola phones. Had Slim for my Moto G (1st Gen). Dropped it by accident a few times. Case took most of the hits, phone came out fine (luckily didn't hit on the front corners...probably would have cracked screen if it did). Got the Max since it offers a bit more of a glove-like protection for my N6.
Trident makes some good cases. I still have my Trident for my HAM2. It's a tank of a case, but increases thickness and width a bit too much for my liking. On top of that, getting it out of the case requires the use of a slotted screwdriver. Had to take it out once a week since the built-in screen protector would form some air gaps causing dust to get trapped. Ended up getting a slim case for the HAM2 becuase of it.
Other that Trident's claim that it meets and exceeds ANSI military spec (which is very loose definition as pointed out above), I've never dropped my HAM2 to test it. Though they do have videos up of others with Tridents on their Sammys and such throwing their phones across a room or running it over with a truck (and whatnot).

My Ballistic arrived last night.
Its actually a lot more slim than I was expecting. Not in a bad way, but in a "well planned" way. Looks great in person, and actually very nice to hold. The "screen protector" it came with (if you can call it that) is utterly useless.

Do you have proof of this? Other than one supposed cracked screen with the case on, I haven't found any proof that the phone would not survive a typical drop. And the one with the cracked screen seems to have fallen on the screen itself rather than on the case (point of impact is just on the edge of the visible screen).

It may not be the most heavy duty case out there, but I am happy with it. Dropped my N6 on Thursday while doing a walkthrough on a kitchen install, my heart stopped when my phone went bouncing across a brand new tile floor and landed face down. Not a scratch on the phone itself. YMMV but the case fits well, it doesn't add too much bulk and I didn't have to send my phone off to get repaired.
Thanks for all the input. I've settled on the trident + jelly comb TG. I'm hoping it will be a winning combination, will be posting picks. Ideally since TGs are all pretty small I would like a heavier case to have some overlap on where it drops off from the curve... but we'll see.
I could not find any reviews of this bumper. I was interested in getting it but I wanted to see if anyone had thoughts about it first.

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/For-...on-Aluminum-Frame-For-Galaxy/32625294136.html
Not for the S7, but I owned one for my Note5 up until last week, and man was it pretty. I got the Gold bumper to go with my White Note5. I also got a leather skin from DBrand and that phone was so pretty. It was nice quality, and I thought it was worth the cost. I purchased it from a stateside seller from Ebay who imported them from China for half the cost of casefanatic.com. The one thing I will caution is that only the very inside of the Luphie case is protected by a small line of foam, not the inside of the sides (if that makes sense). This means that the actual metal bumper of the phone itself will get scratched, metal on metal, leaving small lines all around the phone bumper. Also, my signal was affected just a little. I suppose that's due to the aluminum covering the antennas.
I don't know that I would buy it again, honestly. It did look very nice for sure. But, I think it takes away from the actual day-to-day function of the phone. I hope this helps!
actually, the brand of that bumper is Ginmic, not Luphie. These are 2 factories, design is the same but different logo.
here is the Luphie one. http://www.ipromarket.com/luphie-ra...er-case-for-samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-g9350.html
Quite expensive but damn, so pretty!
I own a silver aluminium Luphie bumper with the black leather backing for my s7. So far I'm pretty happy with it and it's not given me any hassles as of yet. One thing I was surprised by was the fact that the leather backing was not attached to the aluminium frame and was rather a sticky piece of leather that attaches to the rear glass of the phone. Not what I was initially after but it's been alright so far and it's very adhesive so that's good.
Very difficult to line up the leather backing when you first stick it on so take your time and start from the camera side heading down the phone. The backing makes the phone very grippy on surfaces so it's much safer to leave it on tables and stuff but the aluminium sides are a bit slippery and of course the phone feels slightly heavier. It does look aesthetically pleasing though and I can't fault the built in buttons on the Luphie bumper because they are excellent and haven't hampered the phone in any way.
I ordered them off eBay from a Chinese distributor and with post and packaging they came to $12 each.
Any other questions just ask and I will be happy to help..

How was the signal reception? Has it dropped a bit due to the aluminum?

The signal reception seemed to stay normal. However the GPS was affected and would drop out every now and then when using google maps, waze etc.

When GPS becomes glitchy, what quick fix do you usually do? Has it all been patience or have you discovered any workarounds aside removing the bumper? I could imagine having to switch cases when travelling I would be using a clear bumper case, all else I'd be using Luphie. Just ordered mjne for OnePlus 5t though.
When I realised that it was the case doing it, I was a bit bummed. Eventually I stopped using the case because it was not really simple to remove it each time. The screws make this a slightly more difficult task to do when you need it done on a regular basus. It's a real pity because it's an amazing looking case and I loved the protection it gave. I'm now using an abs plastic/slicon one instead, made by VRS design. No issues with GPS with this one and does the job of protecting everything well enough.

That eventually would happen to me as well I guess. Still holding off order cancellation though haha! I ordered from Aliexpress and the seller has not shipped the product yet. I'm tempted to cancel but there is really no option of enjoying the feel of a skinned phone and a bumper since RhinoShield is too bulky for me I think and they have not released one for the OnePlus 5t yet.
First off, I have ZERO affiliation with this company - I paid full price for the case and waited 2 weeks for it to come from China (I had this case with my V20 and was happy they made it for the S8)
I have bought slim cases from Ringke, Spigen, Caseology for the S8 (all from Slickdeals $$$ off posts) and so far all of them felt a bit too slick and thick(compared to what I've experienced with other phones).
I don't know why more companies don't use the "Salient point" design (what this company calls the textured back)
Makes it extremely easy to hold the phone and a good feel in the hands.
Is it worth $10 when you have other slim case options out there for much less (with promotions)? Since I've experienced the feel of it previously I personally think it's worth it. I do wish they had US stock and didn't ahve to wait so long for it.
Now I will say this thing is THIN, like this is going to offer almost no protection from a drop thin (you get corner and back protection but that's about it). I didn't get it for that, I got it to help with holding the phone. Will a skin accomplish the same- probably and I've considered the Dbrand Dragon skin too.
I will say the case fits SNUG - I had a hard time getting it off to take some pics of it

I bought this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XH1PWX9/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and really like it. It is slim enough for me and has great phone protection.
I've ordered this one. Clear and thin.
https://www.amazon.com/Trianium-Res...d=1493470061&sr=1-1&keywords=trianium+s8+case
Got this one today and it is sweet. Super thin and I like that it covers the buttons.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/232311855985
the thinnest case would be ones made out of polypropylene. some of them get as thin as PAPER. others get thicker/harder plastic feel, but no real point as any drops will crack your glass...
I always buy TPU thermo polyurethane which is very resilient and i've been surprised a few times on how it protected my phones. the thinnest TPU i found are the CIMO
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Cimo-...011&ie=UTF8&qid=1493474636&sr=8-5&keywords=s8
I have the Spigen which is too thick, back side measuring 1.4mm on my calipers
EasyAcc TPU which i'm rocking right now which is 1.3mm
Cimo which hasn't come in yet, but... I've had them for s6 and s7 and it only measures 1mm
I like to cut a small hole and mod the TPU cases so that it works on my modded magnetic charger.

I have this case. It's really nice. Fits well, and really is the thinnest possible case at just .025" thick. I must say it is a little slippery even after using it for a few days. I'll probably try and find a similar one that has a bit better grip, but I would certainly recommend it.
I'd also like to mention there is a small raised lip around the camera opening make the fingerprint reader easier to find while adding a little extra protection the camera.

Loving it so far. It is a bit slippery though, not like other TPU cases I have which provide more grip. The separation between the camera and fingerprint scanner is a nice touch too. I'm guessing it is made from some sort of TPU., it is soft and flexible but not silicone. Be aware this is very light protection. I just wanted something to prevent scratches caused by everyday use. I was going to go naked, but this is pretty close and gives some protection.
I'm loving the new spidgen neo hybrid case
Not sure what spidgen case(s) you've tried this far but I absolutely love the neo hybrid case...
Highly recommend this one...

For under 15bux hell, I bought 2 (different colors)!
Look, this case is meant to be a minimalist case so I'm not messaging any claims about what would happen if you dropped it face (screen) first onto gravel or an uneven surface but face first on a flat surface the screen is protected and any other basic drop on a corner, back or side I'm fairly certain it would be fine... I'm even able to charge on a Samsung qi wireless charger with the case on...
The textured back is perfect for holding it and gives the phone a nice secure fit to your hand...
I'd give it a 9/10 as it could use a little motmore stand out protection at top and bottom to better protect The screen - but that said, this case is soo thin you won't even notice it on your front jeans our slacks pocket... its seriously svelte...
I picked up spidgen's screen protector 2pk and it's just ok not a fan of The clarity but it's staying put without issue in this case and will have to do until zagg remedies their issues with Their tempered glass for the s8 which is virtually useless and not very case friendly... (if anyone has found a good tempered glass protector for the s8 please tag me or pm me -ty)

I also have the Nillkin PC Ultra thin case and have also found it to be to best compromise between offering decent protection and staying pretty slim. There also a tiny lip on the screen side so that it won't rest the glass on surfaces. Looking at it from the front, you can hardly tell that the case is on. The Nature TPU case by Nillkin is also very nice, but you can only get it from China at the moment.

How is the grip
---------- Post added at 05:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:49 AM ----------
Does the olixar flexishield actually have something special for grip? They say it's a non slip coating but is it any different than regular tpu
Hi all,
Back again with another video- there will be a few coming over the weekend as I've had some accessories delivered! Thought I'd start big with a bunch of Orzly accessories.
So I've got the clear and coloured flexicases as well as two different colours of the Wallet case.
FlexiCase
Looks like Orzly have changed up their design this year for the FlexiCase. Traditionally, they've really only done the clear one. That's still here and from what I've seen across the boards, allot of people have ordered it, almost because it was the only option up until a few days ago. This is a decent case, it's clear so you can show your phone off, adds a decent level of grip with little bulk!
What they've added this year are a bunch of coloured FlexiCase which seem to be from an entirely different mould. They come in a multitude of different colours, and have both a gloss and matte finished. I'm pretty impressed with these, to the point that my phone is currently sporting the red FlexiCase as I type this! Again they add a good amount of grip, a small amount of impact protection with as minimal bulk as they can!
Wallet Case
If you've watched any of my Wallet videos before you'll know that I stand firm against their use. They're far too bulky and obtrusive for me to use in my day-to-day life. However I know there are a TON of people who do actually use them as I witness it daily. The Orzly offering seems to have gotten a lot better this year in comparison to their previous entries. They seem to have combined this new FlexiCase mould into the Wallet Case. Whereas last years OP3 had a hard grip on the inside, which could snap, this year they've gone with fully body flexible protection. This is the right decision in my eyes, it makes the case MUCH more viable as something that will protect your phone.
and heck, if you don't like the Screen Protector options that are out their currently. This could be the case for you, as it protects the screen as well!
If you're looking to buy any of these, the links are in the description below the video on YouTube and here is the video:
Link to the video
Been using the clear flexi case for a while now and it's a solid case. can't really go wrong with it! Waiting for my wallet case from them now but if it's anything like their other cases for the OP5 it should be a solid product!
Thanks for the video! Currently using the clear flexicase with my wallet case arriving tomorrow, and those coloured ones look really nice! Case addiction!

Thanks for pointing out how this woks with the matt and the gloss finish of the colored FlexiCases. Matt is better fro grip I think, but the gloss around the rim makes it look really nice, so it's a good combination. (previously I had assumed that the whole thing was matt and that maybe there was an all gloss version, as I think amazon describes these all as matt, so had previously (falsely) assumed that it was either/or with matt or gloss dependent on which style you bought. I cannot express enough how useful your videos have been for giving me a better understanding how these are really like in reality, so thankyou for showing these to us up close. After seeing this, I think I actually prefer the colored ones now to the transparent one, as the colored ones look like they don't suffer from picking up fingerprints the way any transparent one inevitably would, so would stay looking nicer alot easier, I reckon.
I do like the Wallet Case you showed in that video also. Are the inners just a similar material to the FexiCase, or are they actually the same mold aswell? (the flexicase seems to do a good job of protecting the camera at the back, so if it's the same, then that would answer my question about how the camera hole on the wallet case is. But if not an identical mold, how did you find the camera hole protection on the wallet case version?
thanks.
if anybody is interested in a second opinion on the matte cases, i just received mine, and decided to review it! https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...oneplus-5-arrived-t3633349/page4#post73031002

Thanks for this! Looks quite nice. Have you done the screen protector test with this one to see which ones fit in conjunction with it? (I remember you saying that the sleo screen protectors were not very good and that you preferred the orzly tempered glass as the best you have used so far for op5, but do you happen to know if the two are incompatible? (I remember from your other videos that the orzly screens are compatible with all their own cases, and with some of the otterbox ones, but would be useful to know which of the other branded cases that you thought were decent were also compatible with the better orzly screens, so that we know what all the viable choices are versus which ones definitely would not work together).
(I know you said you were going to a do a big vid that compares all the many combinations once you've received them all) but just checking in case there are any that you have tested out early. For example, which screen protector was on the phone when you tested the sleo case in this video? (or was the phone screenless in this one?)
thanks.

Yeah, not screen protector on in this video. The SLEO/Nillkin definetley work as they don't go to the edge of the screen. I'm 95% the Orzly/CaseBase will work but I've not confirmed that!

Okay thanks. I already don't like the design of the Sleo screen. (all those weirdly shaped square chunks missing looks horrible in my opinion). Have not seen what the Nilkin one is like, but I don't like the idea of it not fully covering it (unless the case edge lip is enough to cover what is missing), but I guess I'll just have to wait and see what they're all like when you do the final video. So far for me though, I have a feeling it's going to be a tossup between either the orzly or the casebase. Those last two look very similar judging by your videos, but are there any noticeable differences in quality between those two?

Agree with this, SLEO and Nilikin just aren't doing it for me atm. Orzly is the best of a bad bunch sadly. Or you know, you could use a wallet case and not need a screen protector! Wallet case is pretty nice

Yeah, I've thought about doing that! That's the way I used to do it years ago on my old iPhone 5. Works completely well that way whilst the case is closed, however I discovered the hard way that if your phone happens to fall face down while the case is open, obviously there is nothing there to protect the screen from smashing, so I've always used glass screen protectors ever since. However the new design for the orzly wallet cases seem to have a bit of a protective lip around the front, so these ones actually might be okay without the glass on. How is it on yours? do you reckon the lip around the front is enough to stop the screen hitting the floor if it fell face down like that?
(I guess alot probably depends on how high it fell from, or what part it landed on, etc, so I still reckon a combination of the two would ultimately still be the most guaranteed way). But being as you actually own one for this model, it would be interesting to get your opinions on it all the same

Yeah unforunatly that seems like the only "case" where that a wallet case wouldn't protect the screen. I've been using the Orzly wallet case the past few days and it extreamly grippy so if i did drop it then it would probably be folded up

Yeah definitely the only chance, a lot of the time i'd say thwe case would be closed though, or it would close at landing or something. Think its just takes a while to get used to!

Very true, Yeah, I've never had such problems when holding it in my hand to use it. (the time it happened to me I was actually watching videos in stand mode. Embarrassingly, I was in the toilet at the time, so reaching over for the paper I accidentally knocked it off the small cabinet it was resting on, and it fell down screen first. (No idea why I just shared that story in public, but completely true!)
Admittedly this is a very rare scenario, so is unlikely to ever happen to most people, but just explaining how it is possible, and why I have never dared to go without a glass screen protector ever since, even though there are other almost 99% foolproof ways to shield it. The wallet case is probably still by far the best type of case as a good backup way if you had to go without a glass screen, as so far it's the only style of case that covers the screen at all, but they're generally very good. in that respect, and I definitely feel alot safer when that type of case is on compared to any of the others.
I do like to have the choice though, so I often still buy other types of cases just for flavor and variety, but I tend to be more cautious these days whenever careful to only use them in situations that I feel would be less risky ever since that incident.

Embarassing stories are the best lol, always.. the best
I always use tempered glass when I can too, and I agree that variety is great, but you always need to be cautious!
