Hey all,
I have the XBMCMart box here: http://www.xbmcmart.com/mx.html
I don't really like how it's setup. Am I able to flash different AMLogic-supported firmware onto this? I'm new to the whole Android box scene. I want to upgrade my android version also as well from Jelly Bean. I'm looking to "start fresh" and kinda build the box the way I want, with the add-ons I want for Kodi.

I'm running a custom ROM, and I've downloaded the new version of JB from this tutorial. It says to check the build version before upgrading, that if it's not correct it won't work. Under my build version it say "Virtuous Prime", so I'm guessing I need to get back to the stock version? However I don't know for sure, what do I need to do in order to upgrade. I'm still pretty new at all this, so if you could be explicit with your instruction it would be helpful. Any advice is welcome, thanks!

Ii have a motorola fire xt532, with android 2.3.7 on it, i realize that some of the newer versions of the droid OS may not be compatible, so does anyone know what is the newest possible version i can install on my phone? i'm new to android, but have done this with blackberries before, so i have some basic knowledge, i just need a point in the right direction. also, where can i get the new andoid OS from? i have been unable to find android os for download via PC, and what other software will i need on my pc to complete this?
FYI: i read alot of posts and havent found anything related to the 532, and i see alot of people's answer to upgrading to newer versions of android is "go to about phone and upgrade software" well android 2.3.7 does NOT have that option, or i wouldnt be asking and searching thread after thread. I appreciate any help in the right direction, and your time for the help.
Hi, I own a Chinese phone which is BML One Mini (also known as a Spreadtrum SC6820) which has Android 4.2.2 on it.
I was wondering the steps on upgrading/updating the Android version from 4.2.2 JellyBean to 4.4/5.0? Since on my phone, I do not see the 'system update' option, I have gathered that the only way to do this is via a custom Rom.
If anyone would like to give me some advice on what/how to update my Android version to something higher then I would be very grateful.
Thanks,
Edward.
Hi everyone. ...I am not sure I am posting this in the right section and if I am not I apologize. This may be a long shot but I had just acquired an RCA 7 Voyager II tablet Model # RCT6773W22 and it came with Lollipop 5.0 preinstalled on it and I cannot get it rooted at all. I tried pretty much every method I'm guessing because it's a fairly new update and no one came up with a workaround for it to root it. So my request is does anyone possibly have the factory image of KitKat 4.4 or earlier for this tablet and if not would anyone know a source where I can attain this image? Because I would like to roll it back to KitKat and root it because I know there are a few one-click programs that will root it with the older KitKat updates. And also another question I have is will I be able to use Odin to flash the image to the tablet or will I need to use another program or method? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
As title says I need advice on upgrading. What version of android can safely run on this phone? I am having trouble with today's apps such as messenger and snapchat with the old version of android.
Whats the advice out there?
Thanks.
Well, its really whatever version works well on your device. For example most have no issues with 7.1.2; however my I9100M hates it. So I'm going to have to find a different ROM.
What do you want? Speed? Stability? New Features?
I want security and features, So I am trying for 7.1.2 or 6.0. But if you only what speed and stability, then I suggest I lighter/older version like 4.4 or 5.0-5.1. Keep in mind stuff like Cortana, or newer games will want something newer, like 6.
I ended up going with LineageOS14.1 by djibe89
