Hi everybody.
I have been having issues with Miui rom performance ever since the ICS release.
I see many ppl commenting @ miui forum how the releases are working perfectly
for them and no problems but for me generaly those few ICS releases have been
nothing but slow laggy and unresponsive.
No other rom behaves like this. Everything works (camera, sms, calling).
I have tried all possible roms, both GB and ICS and none is slow and unresponsive like Miui.
Right now i'm running Checkrom RevoHD V6 becuz i found the battery drain
be the best for my phone and N.E.A.K 1.4.2x kernel.
SlimICS wich is the last ICS rom i had was almost same battery drain as Checkrom
just not as smooth yet.
Anyone experience same issues?
No I don't have any of these problems.
The only problems I have with MIUI are the known bugs or rom specific bugs.
How do you flash?
Are you comming from a stock rom ?

Last time i used it i came from SlimICS 3.2
Stock i havent used for quite a while.
I've always done full wipe wiping system, data, emmc, cache, dalvik-cache and battery stats
and after all those manual wipes i run the Ultimate cleaner script 2.4
I did not have this problem the GB based Miui.
I like the gui of the rom and also battery is excellent with it.
But Lag and stutter is not fun

Still same issue with the newest Miui.
Installed a GB rom (Epsilon Project) and it's like night and day.

There is a thread in General for discussing V4 MIUI ICS also many other threads are there which port the ICS ROMs also. Bugs & problems of Beta versions should be reported there not here. otherwise use a Stable version (GB).

After seeing a few other threads in this forum section where people post bug & problems i tought it was the right section to post my question.
I'm sorry if i was not clear enough but it is a general question about the rom and how others
who tested it feel like.
Asking in Miui forum might only be seen by users who currently run miui.
Thus i would be missing toughts from users who tested it and experienced same issue and moved on to another rom.
Admins are free to move the thread if i made a mistake.
You can find lot of discussions on V4 in the thread whcih lnked in my post...
Me too waiting for a stable ICS MIUI version.

Hi everyone. I started a thread in the T-879 section where I put together a very hasty "porting package" that made i717 Roms compatible with the T879 Note. I am not a dev by any means but I have had success in taking a prebuilt boot.img from a T879 CM10 rom, along with some kernel modules and making a flashable zip to flash over an existing i717 rom and it works flawlessly. (I havent updated the old thread with my latest zip because it was completely quiet over there). I was wondering if I could gain the support of the awesome devs here so we can increase compatibility across the board. I have seen great success in the HTC Sensation front where all versions are cross compatible thanks to the work of the devs in those forums. I would like to see that spirit here, and I believe that using a tool such as "Any Kernel Installer" may even allow custom kernels for the T879 as well. It is late where I am now, but if anyone is interested please do reply. I will update tomorrow with links to sources, and my latest porting package for examination.

So, after recently flashing the Dark Glass One ROM (which is very fast and snappy btw) i find myself unable to edit any system files even after mounting as writable and fixing permissions through 4ext. I noticed a mod post the same problem in the ROM's thread but no follow up as to what the problem is so i thought i would try to see if anyone might have any ideas as to a fix? I need to be able to rename the audio for the camera click to get rid of it, This didn't happen with other CM10 roms so i assume there's something specific about this one that's not right. Any suggestions?
if your rom is having issues it would be best to go to the rom thread for support because most people that seek help in the Q&A only have general answers unless said person is on the rom also..
So the whoooooole reason why I flashed Jasmine ROM was so I can have this beautiful Blacked Out Theme by Hello00, but its not compatible with VS985, so i did a bit of research and learned that I could flash Jasmine ROM v2.0 (D855) and have it work on my VS985 which then allowed me to download the compatible version of the Blacked Out theme for D855. Everthing was going perfect until a day later when I kept getting the error .com.android.phone has stopped every two seconds... of course I made a backup right after I had all my settings and everything just the way I wanted and restored it (still on Jasmine v2.0 and Blacked out UI) but then it happened again. I did a bit more reading, learning that this is a problem that is persistent on VS985 with a D855 Rom..... -__- My question is, is there a way I can make the D855 work without errors? I read that it was specifically the radio frequency of D855 that clashes with Verizons... does anyone know a fix for this???

does anyone know where I could find a compatible version of Hello00's Blacked out UI theme for VS985??? It looks like he's not updating it lately, and I absolutely fell in love with this theme.
Guys My phone is redmi note 3 sd variant (kenzo).....the problem is when i am on any custom ROM, in google maps i am getting only a blue dot while navigating and the blue dot just stays in a place and not showing my current location....This pblm is not in MIUI...so plz guys, recommend me any solutions..till then I have to use MIUI ...already tried clean flashing and other stuffs...
You better post this issue on the development thread of that particular rom, it's impossible to debug and fix anything without having any clue about the rom itself, just use the thread you flashed the rom.
