Thanks! :good: But I wonder why it's not on the repository
I've read somewhere that it was deleted due to an in-app paid feature
Google requested To remove it. Taking care of copyrights is very important for YouTube [emoji79]
Well they dont sell me youtube red so this was my only option.
Youtube Background Playback was removed because Google didn't like it. If you want the latest version (as of this moment), there's a latest build at the bottom of this github issue. (Don't trust others non-verified links; this is the official project page)
thank you bro. do not leave us alone, always stay here <3

Hi there!
I've started this project to make an application to track myself when i'm out walking with my lovely touch pro.
Now i would like to make it open source and free for all trekking amateurs, and i'm posting this here to get some advice and to see if someone is interested.
I would like to make a simple and beautiful application, that doesen't drain the battery and that allow to record and repeat trails, store waypoints, integrate some mappings and exchange data with google earth or others apps. It might include some geocaching features and online sharing stuffs as well...
The project is hosted on http://code.google.com/p/trailcompanion/
and i've set up a development blog here: trailcompanion.wordpress.com
I'm not releasing any cabs soon, just some source code to start and see what we can get...
however, if someone would like to be involved just show up here!
Here some screenshots:
*Edit 2009-08-30:
I've posted some updates and sample screenshots on the devel blog:

Moved the post to this new section
First cab released, try it!

question. I installed this yesterday, everything is great, up until i tried playing anime videos from my dolphin browser and i cant play those videos anymore, tried to uninstall this app and even the browser and still cant play videos, the site will not play the video if there is an adblocker. What do you think can fix this?

If I understand your situation correctly, you:
Installed AdFree
Used AdFree to apply the custom hosts list
Had problems with playing videos from one (or more) web sites
Removed AdFree
Continue to have the same problems with playing videos
If this is roughly the sequence of events, then you should not need to un-install AdFree.
In fact, uninstalling AdFree probably left your hosts file in its modified state (with ad-related sites still blocked).
Instead, you can click on the Revert button in AdFree. This will return your hosts file to its original condition. This also ought to restore joy to whatever web sites are finding AdFree disagreeable.
This should allow you do run ad-free most of the time (click Download & Install Hosts), and disable ads just long enough to view the videos you wish (click Revert).
Hi all. I see this thread has been quite for quite some time. I am hoping someone can help. I have been a user of AdFree for a while. I noticed that one website I frequent is impacted in that I can no longer see the comments section of that particular website. I added the domain in question to the "white list" but that hasn't helped. Can anyone who understands this sort of thing help? I love the functionality it provides, but not being able to comment on my favorite site is an issue. Anyone? Thanks!!
@ShermCraig The workaround I use in these rare cases is to open AdFree, and tap the "Revert" button. Then I can do all the usual stuff on the offending web site (or app). After I'm done, I once again open AdFree and tap "Download & Install Hosts" to regain ad-protection.
Yes, it's ugly, but it is actually pretty quick, but I did promise only a workaround, not a solution.
Question: What do you mean when you say "added the domain in question to the 'white list'"? I don't see that AdFree supports any kind of whitelisting.

I've actually done this and yes it does work temporarily. Unfortunately (for me) I visit the site so frequently that it becomes too much. Trying something else.
In answer to your question: http://adfree.bigtincan.com/ - log in, and there is an exception list.

Instagram kept annoying me with follow suggestions at the top of my feed, filling up nearly half of my screen. So I decided to write this simple module to hide the suggestions.
If you are interested, you can download it on the Xposed repository (I cannot post a hyperlink since I am a new user on XDA).
Great, this is what i need.

Still not working with 7.12.1, nexus 6p.
@adpar broken on 7.13.1 , pls update!
does it work with Instagram v7.15?
bump for updating the module for v7.16.x
After I published the original mod, Instagram modified their source code so it became a lot harder to get it to work, which would cost me too much of my spare time. However, I noticed today that they added a remove button to the suggestions, so that sort of fixes the problem. I will remove the mod from the Xposed repo in the near future to avoid further confusion.

Please, note:
1. It still can show first sponsored post for some reason... Just scroll it down and up again - it will disappear. I'll try to figure this out, Instagram uses some unusual way to prepare first screen (probably due to startup performance).
2. When you open Instagram first time with this module (or when your Instagram get updated) it can take some time to load... Takes 5 second on my Snapdragon 845. During this time I perform lookup for classes over entire package, because class names are random... Then it is saved to extStorage/.Instagram folder and subsequent startups takes 1 sec. Make sure you granted Storage app permission in App Info, otherwise it will start slowly every time.
Hello and thanks for this necessary modules.
I was scrolling for a long time instagram's feed and I didn't got any sponsored post which is really awesome.
The only place when I still see sponsored posts is between 2/3 stories like it was before but it is not a big deal.
Thanks anyway for this module ans hope you will find what you search for block completly ads on instagram
Awesome module thanks!
I did get some errors in the logs that I've attached.

Neither are working for me, unfortunately. Latest Magisk, latest sandhook , Pixel 2 July Pie security patch.
Thanks for this working great...
Awesome, this module works!
It did make Instagram slower on first run, but that fixed itself after 15 seconds (due to the heavy lookup I reckon, as dev points out).
It blocks all feed ads, but no story ad. May be in a future update?
I noticed one single caveat, after installing this module the top bar in the Instagram app (that has the messenger icon) begins to overlap over the stories bar.
I will update with logs. Thanks for the module.
@Tremendo Slap @xkip you guys should work together since you are making the same xposed module.

Getting the same issue here. Instagram 100.0.0.17.129 (same version as in OP), Android KitKat 4.4.2. All sponsored posts still show up (not just the first) and even if I scrolled down and up again.
This module is great. Just wanted to report that something has updated in Instagram version 118.0.0.28.112 and I can see all those sponsored ads. I will just rollback to older version of the app for now.
I installed this app, but nothing happens, there is not even the app icon in my apps. (Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro)
[MOD][XPOSED]Unclutter IG - Hide Instagram ads & sponsored content [v1.2][2019-08-11]
Remove the clutter from your IG experience -- this Xposed module hides advertisements and promoted content from your Instagram feed and stories.
Also has bonus option to clean up the Explore (search) page; choose to stop showing all those suggested posts from public accounts.
As of 08/11/2019, confirmed to support latest release 105.0.0.18.119.
This module automates the process of intercepting and hiding the unwanted content, and shouldn't rely on specific IG versions to function properly.
However, if newer IG versions begin to break functionality, module updates should hopefully follow soon to keep up with the changes.
Note: Beyond the standard ads, 'paid partnership' branded content refers to any posts that are officially labeled as 'Paid partnership with [company]'.
Changelog
v1.2 - 8/11/2019:
• Added international support for hiding ads
v1.1 - 8/03/2019:
• Revised approach for finding the Explore page hooks; should support latest IG versions
v1.0 - 07/12/2019:
• Initial release

Thank you for creating this module! Seems to be working fine for me on IG 100.0.0.15.120. This is the first one I've tried that works flawlessly! Instagram usually drives me mad with all the adverts and suggested rubbish. :victory:
Woah!! Thanks for this awesome module!! (If XInsta merged with this, it would be the best Instagram mod out there!)
Thank you for this amazing module!
Finally I can remove all the bullsh*t on Insta.
Using this version of Instagram
Fantastic module, really appreciate your work!
Works like a charm on the latest version (101.0.0.15.120). Absolutely no ads are present in the feed or stories! Excellent work @Tremendo Slap! Big thanks!
works fine on GBinsta as well.... Can you do anything about the sponsored posts in stories in the upcoming versions?

Finally! A 100% reliable method to block ads on Instagram. The integration is seamless too, no side effects at all. Thanks for this awesome module!

It's a false positive, you can safely ignore it.
New version 1.1 released, should support IG v104.0.0.21.118.
I noticed when I updated to that version, the module wasn't hiding the Explore page anymore. Some things changed internally, so I took a new approach to detecting whether I'm in the right areas of the Explore page. It's somewhat more hackish, but it should hopefully be more reliable moving forward.

They don't show up for me. I'm using the latest stable version of Instagram. Do note that this module is intended to work on the official version of Instagram, not a modded version (ike GBInsta, etc.) with which it may or may not work since the app is already modified.
I can't make it work is it because I'm using French language and so it can't recognize the sponsored post ??
The one from xkip works but stories are cut in half (the profile icon)
@Tremendo Slap I'm getting sponsored Ads when looking at stories too. It's happens when you look at one story after another.

*Forehead slap* Yes, because when I started making this mod for myself, it never even occurred to me to consider other languages! I was using a hardcoded string.
Pretty dumb oversight on my part. I've made the change in the latest version 1.2.
Thanks for letting me know!
