Maybe its just my phone but whenever i get an MMS, it will download it but once i go into the conversation it will force close the app. I could easily just go with textra or some other app but i actually like the stock messages. Just wondering if anyone has the same symptoms, Also this is on 7.0. On 6.0 Works fine.

I would post this in the Eclipse thread, but being new, I cannot. My issue is simple: If I send a text to someone, then lock the phone without exiting the Messaging app, and I get a response. When I unlock the phone, I can see the window, with the name of the person I'm texting with, but there are no messages. I have to back out to the MMS app main page, then go back into the text thread.
Is it a small problem? Indeed. But with how refined this ROM is already, and with how responsive the developer is, I though it something to look into.
Yes, I know I can install GoSMS, Handcent SMS, etc. and I will try that first. It still remains a bug in the Eclipse Messaging app.
Thanks -
So i want a quick reply feature for SMS. I'm aware there is already a lot of threads on this. Its just that I cant get any of them to work. I'm rooted and still running TW, I have Xposed installed, but I think the problem might be that I deleted the stock messaging app because I hated it so much and was happy with Hangouts. I ran into some bootloop troubles and did a factory reset via safestrap and after that my stock app magically reappeared. Before this trouble I was using floating texts and it worked great, now any SMS client I try either gives me a force close or simply doesn't send or receive messages. I've tried 10 plus messaging apps and none but hangouts and stock work.
Thanks!
Hi
I have a problem i restored my phone "Xperia Z3" to factory settings. Then i had alot of problems with to getting my sms back. I have done a back up.
Now i can only see my reciewed messages and mms but not the ones that i have send.
On the stock sms app i can see everything including my sent but it crashes all the time when i scroll. I cannot see it in hang out or google messages or in textra. Before i did the restore i did use textra with ios emoji plugin is it maybe because of that?
Hello, I am looking for an app that can actually remove me from a group message so that I do not receive tons of useless texts that end up using my data. Currently I use Google's Messenger as my main texting app, as we all know the stock one is terrible. This app works great and I love it, however when I get flooded with MMS it does not seem to know how to react and then refuses to send any SMS. Now I am also up to download another texting app if someone knows one that handles MMS better, I have tried Textra in the past however I kept recieving a notification that said something about my MMS APN but I never touched anything in Textra's settings to break that because it did work for a while. I am open to other options if someone has any ideas. Thanks
Handcent it's pretty reliable but has ads. I like hoverchat as well.
The stock Samsung messaging app struggles to send mms. It seems like it went resizing photos and live messages maybe? When I switch to non stock apps they all work fine, but in the stock app, especially group threads, sometimes they never send, or only some people in the group get the message. Had anyone else experienced this?
