i'm flashing since 5 years all my phones and i'm very interested, but i'm not able to understand, what is it to do exactly. i read youre posts, made it and until now tehrefore i know what to do and it functions. Honor 9 was a bit too much for me. bootloops over bootloops.
recovering doesn't functions with wiping various storages and/or installing with dload with c432b120/b130 on sd card, internal storage and cust. the same with boot image b100 stock rom pre installed. flashing zip files doesn't functions too. both recoveries ends with failure (like 3rd erecovery too). can you made a guide how to recover please?
is there any method to recover? seen this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8-pro/how-to/oeminfo-c432-t3625886 point three, but i'm not able to find the files "update" and "public" http://hwmt.ru/hwmtsite/firmware-database/?firmware_model=STF&firmware_page=0 like by honor 8 Although i don't know how to make or find NoCheck.img-files for honor 9 STF C432 , (because i'dont find after searching, what it should be and how to to made it). Thank you for youre references!

after restoring wtih twrp backup, the phones stucks after emui-setup prozess.
i tried to install b120/b130 (http://hwmt.ru/hwmtsite/firmware-dat...irmware_page=0 and https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...42&postcount=3). one time with installed stock-boot.img (https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...9&postcount=65) the other time with twrp backup.
both times it ends in twrp with "no digest file found", then "check_write_data-To_partition, write data error", then in red "E:unknown command [errno]", then in red "Updater process ended with ERROR 9" and in red "Error installing zip file.
dload method with update.app ends with "Software install failed"
No, where can i find it/how to made it?

My device got bricked B330. So i had to reflash some stuff and ended up with false info under the section About Phone i had the same issue as him So i followed that instructions but i couldnt flash the Cust.img in the recovery (twrp) it gives me the error that i have as title. Without flashing the cust.img i cant use a revert package through dload since my Phone shows other information then the update package (denies to do the update instant) . My question how can i fix the error "File bigger then target device" so i can flash the Cust.img since fast boot doesnt work (error remote: command not allowed recovery) and twrp is my only option..
Instructions i followed to get back to stock.
Flash Boot.img, system.img, cust.img through twrp > flash stock recovery > Apply UK back to stock through dload
I cant flash cust.img so step 1 fails and i cant do the rest.
Anyone a idea why i cant flash this file through TWRP and fastboot? This is littery my last hope to get back to stock ;/

You need to use kiwi_twrp_5-14_recovery.img
and the backup needs to contain all these partitions
boot.emmc.win
cust.ext4.win"
erecovery.emmc.win"
firmware.info"
firmware.vfat.win"
misc.emmc.win"
persist.ext4.win
system.ext4.win000
system.ext4.win001
restore those and you'll be back in business
This rom also contains the /cust partition for b130

This is what i got.. http://prntscr.com/brv0ay the Repository doesnt contain this files aswell any idea? Is it possible to flash for example a full Kiw L22 rom and then use a revert package for L21 through Dload?
Oke what i did:
Wipe
Apply Cust partition with terminal
Apply backup/restore
flash stock recovery
Boots same issue, I just need the dload to get to work so i can flash the recovery pack. But it stays at 0 percent even after 15 mins.
What i found out is that i dont have the stock firmware (Dont have fingerprint and stuff, device doenst show as KIW L21), so i doenst do a ota update and local update ofcourse. I need a TWRP backup with firmware included. What im trying now is installing L21 MIDDLE-EAST firmware and then try to use a revert package for L21 through OTA.

Well, I'm not sure this is a good idea as it took me 11 days to upgrade from B140 (Lollipop) to B330 (Marshmallow) and only a few minutes to brick my Honor 5x L21 using a backup from kiwi_twrp_5-14_recovery.img when I wanted to revert back to B140... ^^
At boot time after the restore, I have an animated red H letter from the Honor Logo and impossible to get back to the welcome screen nor to any other screen so I don't have access to TWRP anymore...
We really need to have access to the official downgrade firmware from Honor !!!

Anyways what would you recommend me to go back to stock right now? Is it cuz my system partition is messed up? How to fix? thx anyways!
Arobase40 said:
As I said it is NOT really a good idea to use a TWRP backup to revert back from Marshmallow to Lollipop as it will brick your device !
I also said : ask your local Honor technical support for an official revert back firmware as your whole system is obviously messed up.
I don't know how you upgraded your smartphone but better downgrade to Lollipop first and try to upgrade again to MM a "proper way"...

I fixed it. Go to hi honor and search for honor 5x firmware, download it unpack it put the update.app on dload on microsd make sure you flashed stock recovery through fastboot hold power + volume down + volume up until it vibrates and done. I couldnt install any dload file on XDA the error "system failed" means the update is not for your device. The one on hihonor was the only one that worked for me ive been bussy 3 days its worth trying. I can link/upload you the download and instructions if you want to but ill do it tomorrow.

Hello i have the same problem could you please give me your backup so i can try it?
Same issue
Hey!
I have a problem with my Honor 9 (STF-L09C432): It's not booting properly. Bootloader and FRP are unlocked.
First of all: I have TWRP (from here) and the boot.img and system.img came from here. I unpacked them with the Huawei Update Extractor. I flashed those (via fastboot) again after I installed Xposed, because that gave me a bootloop. Too bad it couldn't fix this.
After booting the phone the message, that my phone cannot be trusted, appears, then the Honor Logo, then the message again and then the eRecovery. Inside the eRecovery I can only download the latest version, which is too bad, because I cannot connect to my WiFi as he says the Password of the AP is wrong (which is not). Edit: Tried it with an unprotected Access Point, still failed (Could not retrieve Package Info or something like that).
I don't know where I went wrong and why it won't boot anymore, so you are my last hope!
Edit: I also tried the update menu (Volume Up and Down while Powering on) with the B150 update in the DLOAD folder. But it just goes to 5 % and shows "Software install failed!".
Edit2: I would also be fine by hard formatting the complete system and reflashing a stock ROM. But first I'd need to know how to format the system and second I need a stock ROM.
Edit3: When I tried to reflash Magisk (I read that it could fix some errors like this), I got another error: "Failed to mount '/system' (Device or resource busy)"

As I had the same problem as you do know: I flashed B120, which does not seem to have the bug with the buttons and upgraded via Firmware Finder to B130 and then to B150.
honor 9 stf-al00
phone unlocked and frp unlock
bricked the phone installing oreo.
twrp is installed but all the roms i flash i get error 9.
dload with update.app get stuck at 5% and after "system update failed"
i also extracted update.app and i can flashed boot, kernel and recovery but i get an error flashing system
At this point i just want the phone running anything but everything that i do doenst work
I just bought a Huawei Mate SE which is a newer phone that looks like the Honor 7x. I've noticed whenever I search for Huawei Mate Se custom roms, recoveries, and even stock roms I only find Mate 9 stuff and find my self desperate with no support of root, and anything else. I found an article called "How to : Huawei Mate SE Root & TWRP Recovery" , and I successfully unlocked the bootloader, and I successfully installed twrp. The text on the bottom I didn't see which said to install the dm-verity thing. I ran into the problem where there were all these folders were displaying weird text in the main partitions, so instead of installing the version they told me, which was the no-verity-opt-encrypt-4.1.zip, I installed the latest which was the no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip version, which soft bricked. So I thought I could fix this by installing a custom ROM. But there were none, so I tried to install cm13 honor 7x rom and It didn't work. I tried installing the correct version after the rom. So even now if I tried to revert the old boot img it still wouldn't work because of the rom. However, since my bootloader is unlocked there is definitely a way I can fix all this. But the problem is their is not any Huawei Mate SE roms anywhere. I need a stock rom for my phone (possisbly a custom rom), or some fix. I can access my recovery, and the bootloader, but not anything else. My model is the BND-L34, pls help.
I did the same thing. Got it working
Put this in twrp back up folder on external SD card. Restored both files then factory reset in twrp. It worked for me every thing works. unzipped with Windows pc

I have mate se in us on tmo/MetroPCS I flashed the correct 4.1 and still got soft brick. That article cost me couple hours. rooted with honor 7x method. Why dont you boot into huawei eRecovery? It downloads the firmware and recovery and recovers your phone.
I've managed to flash (using the guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/guide-mate-10-flash-oreo-update-package-t3716814) the incorrect firmware to my phone. I used the 8.0.0.140 firmware for the BKL-L09 to my BLA-L09. Now, it reports as having no IMEI number and I have no SIM car recognised.
I've tried using the guide above, but it reports as BKL not supported.
How screwed am I? Would something like FunkyHuawei Unbrick Flash Tool work (although the download keeps being reported as having a virus). Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.

See if you can flash TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/huawei-mate-10-pro-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769904
If it works, you can re-flash BLA using: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
If you don't get FBE working you should be able to just Wipe -> Format Data -> 'yes' and use Reboot -> Recovery. This will remove encryption.
After this transfer the HuRUpdater script and firmware zips to internal sdcard.
Be sure to backup internal sdcard before Format Data as this will wipe it.
I'm amazed your phone even boots

Boot looping with TWRP. Only shows the splash page for a bit then reboots to the eRecovery.
Evening my brother,
Please relax and don't panic, as you are not alone and by the look of things you won't be the last one. I also did the same thing by rebranding my mate 10 pro to porsche design and flashed the porsche firmware to my 10 pro. After all that my device booted and it was rebranded to porsche design, but without imei, not detecting sim and all I had to do was to rebrand it back to BLA-L29 and flashed the BLA-L29 firmware. All is back to normal working order. I just hope your bootloader is still unlocked.
The bootloader is unlocked, I just can't get into TWRP at the moment.
You don't need TWRP and all you need is to follow the guide in this forum about rebranding. You also don't need FH paying method. Just follow that guide and it is straightforward.

I've tried following that method but I get an error message saying "No support BKL".
Ok I see. Please download the firmware package of the exact original model of your mate 10 and try and flash it using the same guide, but of course without rebranding and see if it will take it.

Can your browse to /data using Advanced - File Manager?
And does ADB work?

Open TWRP terminal OR adb shell:
mount -r /vendor
mount -o rw,remount /vendor
See if it want to flash now.
Which TWRP are you using BTW? (post link to thread)
I've tried a few versions - one starts the install but reboots randomly and then others that bomb out straight away.

Still bombs out using this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/huawei-mate-10-pro-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769904
I've tried 0.4 (reboots), 0.5 and 0.6.
I've also tried this one (random reboots) https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-touch-recovery-t3752399
And I've tried this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/oreo-t3754483 (same - bombs out)
Is there a way to recover this installing the Huawei zips through ADB or something?

If it works, you can re-flash BLA using: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
If you don't get FBE working you should be able to just Wipe -> Format Data -> 'yes' and use Reboot -> Recovery. This will remove encryption.
After this transfer the HuRUpdater script and firmware zips to internal sdcard.
Be sure to backup internal sdcard before Format Data as this will wipe it.
I'm amazed your phone even boots

Actually, have you tried TWRP for V10?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-view-10/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769917
Else you can try NoCheck, it will let you flash firmware using stock recovery (patched to not do verification).
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho.../recovery-bkl-nocheck-recovery-flash-t3778085
(It has only been tested on L04, but I guess it's worth a shot)
You'd just need to get Magisk, which should be easy as you'd only need to patch ramdisk or if you already have it installed.
Hello,
I was wondering if some could help me please. I wanted to flash RR Rom 6.0 on my BLA-L09(I think that what's it is) phone.
I was able to unlock my boot loader, and flash TWRP my device but my dumb s*** flashed TWRP to my file system use FLASH SYSTEM instead of FLASH RECOVERY. Now, I can't fix it ?. I know I can use sideload so I'm not panicking just yet however I know I messed up the file system.
Could someone tell me what file system system I should be using (fat, exfat, ext4, etc...) and what to do to get this think to boot backup.?
I've tried and side loading "update_full_BLA-L29_hw_la.zip" stock ROM but no luck... I keep getting this error message:
"check_write_data_to_partition,write data error
Update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed
Updated process ended with error: 9"
HELP.!!!

If you find anything, let me know.!
Just boot to fastboot, flash RR to system and TWRP to recovery_ramdisk?
