Recently I tried to root my k33a42 and somehow lost the VoLTE feature in it.... I tried this process but when I tried the 3rd option it shows "error: could not read factory ota patch from sd card,or the patch is not correct" .... Now what do I do? Btw I'm on Row 229
perfect solution.my phone started working on jio(Volte) network
I can't see volte option in notification centre... Any help pls...
Thanks for the guide. I enabled VOLTE by flashing stock ROM through QCOM then restored baseband and booted into the ROM and then did method 3. VOLTE restored after auto reboot. Method 3 doesn't work in TWRP flashable ROM.
For me adding a new access point by name of ims worked you can give it a try i found the solution on a redmi 3 forum google it you will find the fix.
In my case I am using Lenovo K6 power with a Airtel sim and my problem is my phone can't switch from 4g to 3g or 2g so I can't make or receive calls and I am still in the problem . I have searched and tried several methods but I can't solve Pls help me because you know how important a call facility for a Android so please reply quickly..

Did you try changing the sim slot use your Airtel sim in 2nd sim slot keeping slot 1 empty & let me know if it works
-1) In <notification centre> select <status bar icon> select volte - No volte option found.
2) dial *#*#4636#*#* select volte enable - Can't enable Volte provisioned, after coming back it is disabled.
3) ####682# select <IN> option- After coming back it is backit is again <AE>

In settings ->device there are no "users" option. Also in notification bar when i click on user icon i upper right corner i get message "the contact doesn`t exist".

I have booted successfully, but i can't access 3G and 2G, icon H and E still show on status bar, why i can't access to internet?. Sorry for my bad English. Can some one help me to fix it.
2G network it too slow on my airtel sim not even able to receive whatsapp messages. It worked fine when I was on custom ROM(s). I even checked with my friends phone, the speed is great on them. I 'm on latest update B360 . 3G and Jio 4G is just working fine. Any idea what might be wrong?
P.S. : I have a job at hilly area where "only" 2G networkis available.

Nothing wrong with signal strength. It's not even working even at my home in city. 3G is working fine though.

No why would I do that? I installed the fresh stock ROM (by pressing the power + vol+ and vol- button simultaneously. )

i dont think i would do anything since you did a three button install. i guess you could factory reset as a final option if no one else can fix it

i use 3g, 2g is too slow and i rarely have poor connection
Have you tried calling your operator? Might be a temporary problem with them.

In Dual SIM settings, make sure that Airtel SIM slot is not selected as 3G / 4G slot?
I'm not sure. Check once.
duple check ur access points or just delete then and request new ! and the other thing is that some operators already stoped supporting 2g , might ur sim card 3g/4G same as my country .

You did updated your phone to 8.1.14 though? Because it's imposible that it came with that ROM preinstaled. That version of the ROM was relased before few days.
I bought in the end of December 2016. And I updated after that 2-3 times,

I updated it 2-3 times, I mean whenever I got new updates. It was not working from I think first update... What is the solution?
Well you wrote that you didn't do anything to ROM. But actually you did many updates. Probably there is some bug on newer version of the ROM. First at all try doing factory reset.

Well, maybe, you should revert back to the version where Volte worked. But that's a little bit complicated process if you are a newby.

Thanks for quick reply; I am newby and never encountered such problems, By the way I love technology but never Rooted device etc. and do not have any experience about ROM etc. I just use how it comes from company. Give me other methods if this is complicated.

Well, there are no other methods if your phone is rooted. There is only one. You need to flash the earlier version of ROM with Mi PC Suite.

Hey...go to Sim Toolkit in the "Tools" folder and click on "Home IMSI" for sim 1 or 2 whichever is yu want to enable VOLTE

Try checking the battery settings of the mobile (Redmi Note 4 Mediatek). Go to Settings ---> Battery ---> Performance --> Show System Animation (select this option).
Sometime, when the battery performance is set to Optimization it fails to pick up the Volte Signal.

What are the other methods to flash?

You need to download its modified rom by (cg sky) (different H/W 5.0 & S/W 3.0). You can search for this rom in net.
I have downloaded it somewhere in net , gsmdevloper site(i m not sure).

the rom in link is origional stock rom(PAC format) of cg sky phone . in case of anything goes wrong to your device then you can simply flash this rom in Research download tool. (the rom ,which your device currently running with locked jio sim)
And the ROM i have ported is official stock rom of micromax q402 + without any resrtiction of jio sim and internet.
that is the difference.

this error happens because the software is not compatible to its modified hardware and software version.
if you want unlocked rom than you follow the instruction in my thread.
if the procedure is in my thread is not understandable or look boring to you ,then i will make a simple ROM with PAC extension so it can easily flashable with Research tool. But it need unlock bootloader (you can follow my other thread for instruction)

You also need patched boot.img to boot the Rom. You have to patch your boot.img to remove dm-verity & force encryption(for twrp only)so it can load ported OS.
You can patch your boot.img manually or magisk method.

And another good news is i have successfully ported evercross m50 star Rom to this device (micromax q402+) this rom is theme supported and nice looking very smooth UI.
Everything working flawlessly . I will make new thred or update previous. ( upload soon)

Sorry to say you but that file is uploaded by someone else .I have just shared it here.modified ROMs are ported and shared by me. The link you have asking for is cg sky rom. That is the original stock ROM comes preinstalled.

Hey ppl! Ever since the September security patch ota update, I'm unable to access the phone info menu via dialer. Has anyone else been facing the same issue? Please help me fix it, this is the only way I can force 4g only to get uninterrupted connectivity.
I am too unable to do so brother. Have you found any solution ?

No man, I'm waiting to finish building my PC so I can flash a different rom. Coloros sucks anyway

Yeah! ColourOS sucks in real. Now, it had made everthing miserable over this device. I will too unlock my bootloader and have a good custom ROM. But the development for this phone is not upto mark
I am also not able to use this code after new a.19 update. Now i am using MTK engineer aap available in playstore. Only phone info access able through this app. Which is enough for me.

MTK engineer app workfine try it now bro i am using it daily.
Thank you so much bro! Mtk didn't work, but similar app called network mode worked.
