redmi note 3 stuck mi logo.. tried every thingh - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

hi was using facebook on my phone and it got hanged and switched off.. after that its not turning and stuck at mi logo...
flashed rom again 8.2.4.0 miui 8 through fast boot, tried installing twrp and cleared everything.. again flashed though fast boot and still stucked at mi logo.. please help ...

Can you boot into twrp
If yes then download alka twrp ,cm 13 radios by balika ,cm13 firmware by the strix , cm 13 latest zip (official)copy this into sdcard then insert it into mobile
First flash alka twrp from twrp or fastboot(which is installed )
Then in alka twrp wipe then advance wipe chose system cache data internal storage and wipe
Then again in wipe format data type yes and format data
Then reboot recovery
Then again factory reset
Flash cm 13 radios by balika
Then cm13 firmware by strix
Then cm 13 official zip + gapps( optional gapps)
Then reboot
It shall work

can you tell me whats default system partition??
i read somewhere format it as fat and again format it to default .. so that mobile can work,,, but now i am confused what was default partition??

tried everything still not working

Ext4 for all data system cache
It shall work

Unable to install TWRP Recovery heimdall and therefore lineageos

Hi,
I'm using a galaxy s2 gt-i9100 as a spare phone and i thought it would be a good idea to upgrade from CM13.1 to lineage os 14...
Unfortunately that didn"t go well, the phone is not bricked BUT :
1)i can only flash recovery using odin, heimdall says flash ok but recovery never changes, same as when i tried to install the TWRP recovery from a zip file in the CWM 6.0.2.9 recovery
2) flashing from that CWM version a lineage os zip file always resulted in the progress bar to be stuck at the very begining of the process so i updated the phone with a 3GB PIT file to fix the issue.
3) now the same CWM doesn"t want to mount the SD card while it's working perfectly from within the phone or with the phone(using latest stock firmware) on my PC
4) i can"t use that CWM as recovery because i can't use adb sideload or install zip from a file anymore(i guess due to the 3GB PIT file)
So is it possible to have a TWRP recovery flashable with odin for the GT-I9100 ?
Will that TWRP recovery finally allow me to flash the lineage os zip file?
thanks,

First--you can't mount sdcard after repit if you didn't format it
Second--repit using 3GB PIT is useless procedure, because you only changed the data partition size, instead repit with a 1GB_3GB.pit to change system partition to 1GB.
Third--to get TWRP 3 you must be on a rom with a kernel that supports isorec recovery, so you should flash a CWM kitkat compatible recovery through Odin and reboot to recovery and flash latest CM11 to get isorec support then reboot to recovery flash TWRP 3.0.2.1 image and then reboot recovery and flash your desired nogut rom and gapps.

Hello,
thanks for your reply, it was exactly what i was looking for, i wish my Google searches about that matter redirected me to that tutorial.
IT worked brilliantly exept an error regarding formating and mounting of data partition after the use of the PIT file but upon restart, the procedure : 'Go to Wipe -> Advanced wipe,
select Dalvik, Cache, System, System, Data, Internal Storage then Swipe to Wipe, go back to TWRP Home.' completed without any errors.
That old phone is now running nougat.

Hi,
I wanted to upgrade my i9100 so i used odin 3.04 to flash the kitkat compatible .tar file you mentioned through download mode. The flashing in odin showed no errors but my phone is dead now and doesnt turn on!
Now i can only get into download mode using the key combinations.
What did i do wrong coming from CM9.1 with cwm 6.0.1.2 on it. And how to fix this?

Your phone won't boot of course, because the kernel recovery you flashed is a kitkat kernel recovery, just reflash it again with a pit with 1GB system or more and your desired data partition size, all pits are available in repartition guide by saber, after you enter into recovery, you should navigate to mount then "format sdcard" or "format internal sdcard", i don't actually remember the option, then format it and format data and system and cache and dalvik cache, then install the latest cm11 rom to get isorec support, then let it reboot, then reboot to recovery and flash TWRP 3.0.2-1 image from the TWRP 3 thread's download section, then reboot recovery and flash your desired nogut rom and gapps
Just a sec i will give you some links..
Much appreciated. I am really stuck right now.
Can i conclude that when i flash CWM 6.0.1.2 my CM9.1 will be alive and kicking?
I think i want that right now, i postpone the upgrade to the future. Not really comfy right now....
hmmm i can't find the link to CWM 6.0.1.2 for i9100. Thats what i need right now...

you have to flash a kernel not just a recovery, try dirty flashing your cm9.1 again that should make it boot correctly, and will replace the current recovery with the recovery that comes with the rom
I found my cm9.1. How does dirty flashing works? Can it be done with odin?
Does this erase all my data on my device?
edit:
Do i choose pda or phone when entering cm9.1 in odin. And where to select wipe cache and dalvik cache?
CM11
1.5GB PIT Files or 1GB PIT Files by ELgmal 1GB is enough.
Kitkat compatible recovery
this is for future update

no just flash it in recovery and wipe cache and dalvik, if you had xposed then flash xposed after the rom and wipe dalvik and cache and reboot.
ps: next time you post, please quote my post or mention me in your post so i can reply faster to your post
no it won't delete any data

have you tried with an external sdcard?
you can use an adapter to connect your external sdcard to your pc and copy your rom to

Hi, I am using Redmi Note 3 Pro(Snapdragon). I flashed custom rom by flashing CM14.1 Frimware Kenzo 12.04.2017, Lazy flash tool, RR-N-v5.8.3-20170709-kenzo-Weekly and Gapps. Everything is working file. I got an update to RR-N-v5.8.3-20170716-kenzo-Weekly, downloaded it and tries to flash. Go to twrp recovery and go to wipe then advanced then wipe Dalvik/ART Cache and Cache. Then i install successfully latest ROM. After that, when i reboot my device, it stucks on mi logo and restating. I have changed the bootanimation. Hepl me to go for the latest update.. When I tried to Restore the older version of RR Rom, My device sensors wll not work and i cant hear while i am calling. Reboot takes 3 - 4mins

I unlocked my bootloader with unofficial zcx rom and flashed liquid remix 8.1.0 and phone is rebooting in almost 3 to 4 minutes and I've tried 3 4 other roms and in every rom my device boots in 3-4 mins. Reflashed stock rom unlocked bootloader again with zcx rom and flashed custom rom liquid remix 9.0 still phone is rebooting in around 4 min. Is there any solution to fix slow startup?

Download orange fox recovery.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/orangefox/files/kenzo/
Now Go in to zcx recovery
Flash fox recovery zip
U will automatocally boot into new fox recovery .
Now u have fox recovery.
First format data and then wipe data.
FORMAT DATA IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT. WIPE DATA IS NOT SAME.
if u dont do format data . rom will not boot.
So try to search format data option and use it.
+1 for @naik2902 if yu go from miui to any aosp, you have to format data in order to make everything work propertly (any twrp based recovery -> wipe -> format data -> type yes)
make a backup before everything you need from internal storage.
taking much longer time to reboot in recovery
after installing orangefox recovery and wiping the data now my device is taking more time to reboot into recovery mode.

Make sure u came from latest miui rom 9 or 10.
Reason why its not booting is coz ur data and internal sd is encrypted . coz u came from miui. Miui encrypts data and internal sd by default. So custom roms cant boot it.
U need to format data in twrp.
Go to twrp
press format data.
Type YES to format
Format command will decrypt and erase ur data and internal sd.
So before that take backup of internal sd.
So first format data( must do)
Then wipe data reset
Flash rom
Flash gapps
Reboot

No, I

flash rom
flash gapps
reboot
and get infinite boot logo animation.

Uhh yeah! You need to reboot to recovery to see if TWRP is still on there. Formatting means EVERYTHING gets yeeted out the back door. When you format data, always, and I mean ALWAYS reboot to recovery, and then you can flash your vendor image following your rom.
well, i flashed the android 10 version from "mi dot com/global/androidqbeta" , then i wanted to go back to the pixel experience rom and it didn't boot, it boot loped to twrp, so, I wiped all the partitions, and tried to flash the global version that came with the phone and it gives me the error "vendor error flashing" and then on another try after flashing the vender through twrp "system error flashing", then I formated all the partitions and then tried with the miflash tool version 2018-5-28, and it says device mismatch, but I am sure I have the mi 9 cepheus, 64gb 6gb ram, do i try flashing it with the European version ? i remember it came with the global version ...
[edit]
well, i solved it by making sure i had the same name on the folder that i had on the decompressed folder .. i've never encountered such an error
hope this helps someone ahah
