Hey guys, i have an strage problem. So, for mistake i've flashed wrong TWRP file in odin. That TWRP was for Samsung Galaxy Ace 3. After that all, I went to the recovery mode and I was getting an "no command" error. Then when I wanted to flash the proper file, I was always getting stuck when the NAND Write Start shows up. Is there any way to solve that problem?
EDIT: I know about vol up method, but i just want to install TWRP soft, ADB isn't working for me)
Flash stock recovery then try flashing the right version again, see if that does the trick.

I did NOT click on Re-partition. I did what you have said before (flashed again // tried another rom // redownloaded the file) and the phone is still not working. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm afraid I bricked my friend's phone i was just trying to root it

I don't think its bricked... uhmm try to go back to stock rom
go to sammymobile.com and there you can your pda and stuff... I hope everything is gonna be alright
But why is the recovery mode not accessible?
If you were in the process of rooting only then how have you tried out different roms?
Does flashing a recovery itself cause a bootloop?
dude sometimes mine also not boots into recovery. U can flash siyah kernel 6b5 tar version through odin. that will most likely boot into recovery

Hi All,
I rooted phone and all went well. Downloaded CWM then the BeanStalk ROM with Android 4.4.2. Tried to install zip file it through CWM and when i looked at phone it had restarted. Loads the screen with the title CWM-based Recovery v6.0.2.7 and lists 10 options.
Tried to reboot/factory install etc but always end up back at this screen??
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, (I'm a n00b to rooting etc)
Update: The error i get when i try and install beanstalk:
no file_contexts.......
(Status 7)
Just tried to install Omni and got the same error?
Maybe you need CWM Touch 6.0.3.2+ or latest TWRP recovery (if you have a metadata error when flashing, you're using the wrong recovery!)
Cause your CWM-based Recovery is v6.0.2.7. Android 4.4+ need latest recovery. Such as v6.0.3.2+.
How would I go about getting the latest recovery on there? Odin?
Sorry i am a bit of a noob!

Thanks - but that link is a bit technical for me - it doesnt have any installation instructions?
Just want to make sure i don't brick the phone.
Is there a way I can unroot it then start over again? Would that be a possible solution?
Still stuck on this.... Anyone have any ideas?

Are you able to get the phone into recovery mode? If so, a factory reset should solve the boot issue.
If not, then it is worth trying to flash the stock firmware via ODIN.
Are you able to enter recovery or download mode?
Hi
I have a Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo GT-S5310...
The sad thing is that, a while ago it stopped working and now it's stuck on the boot screen (Samsung GALAXY POCKET Neo GT-S5310)
I have tried to perform a factory reset through the built-in recovery mode (volume up + home + power), but unfortunately, I couldn't access the recovery mode and the phone goes directly to the boot screen.
And since the only thing I could do was accessing the Download Mode, so I tried to recover it by installing an official firmware with Odin3_v3.07... but it didn't solve the problem...
So what would you guys suggest?
can't delete this reply... could an admin please do it?

Cant boot to recovery
Hi sorry for the thread revival but I have run out of ideas. Same problem as OP. Odin flash is successful but stuck on samsung logo when trying to boot to recovery.
S5310i 4.4.2
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Anyone found a solution to this?
When you use Odin to flash, when it has finished, it always boot to recovery, there you have to wipe data and cache, then it works properly!

After flashing recovery with odin I am still stuck at the S5310 Neo splash screen unable to boot into recovery. Has this maybe got something to do with a conflict between android versions? As the S3510i comes with 4.4.2 stock, not 4.1.2.

Thanks for your help. Could you please explain more about this? Where would I find the pit file to flash? Do I tick re-partition in odin? Never flashed pit before. worried about bricking the device.
I am struggling to find the PIT file for my specific device (S5310i). its only on a handful of websites asking for paid subscriptions. Could anybody possible direct me to where I can find:
CORSICAVE3G_EUR_OPEN. Pit
I have downloaded the corsicass.pit and S5310_corsicass.pit but am not sure if this will work on any S5310 variant?
Hi guys, I really hope u can help me, cause i admit i did my share of research and got no solution
My N8010 was using GNABO 6.5 and Boeffla Kernel. While using it the other morning, the tablet suddenly rebooted and got stuck on the Galaxy Note screen. It stays on it a few seconds then reboot to the same screen in a loop.
I can access the recovery menu (CWM 6.0.3.6 ) but my options there are pretty limited, cant wipe and cant install zip files. At the botton of the recovery i have the following logs:
Warning: no file_contexts
E: Can´t open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can´t open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can´t open /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can´t open /cache/recovery/last_log
I read somewhere that the problem should be solved if i could install a new recovery through Fastboot. Problem is fastboot cant find my device when on bootloader (but i can find it through ADB).
Using ADB sideload to install new recovery or new ROM gave me error on CWM.
Please, save my Tabye.

Samsung devices don't support fastboot instead they have something called download mode, which you can entered powering off the device and then pressing Volume Down button + Power Button simultaneously, after a couple seconds you'll see a warning screen at the warning screen press Volume Up and the device will be in download mode. Then you can use Odin to flash a new recovery, I would recommend checking out this guide on how to flash a recovery with Odin, and this thread for a recovery you could flash for your device model. Let me know if you still have questions.

Hey Shimp, thanks for the answer.
Unfortunately I tried to flash both TWRP and Philz Touch and, besides going everything ok with odin, the recovery did not change. It is still CWM 6.0.3.6
any other advice?
