I have a device in which I am attempting to get root.
Settings -> About Device shows the following information
Model Number: M3 media box board
Android Version: 2.3.4

This device seems to be a clone of the ATV1000-ATV2000 from Geniatech
I have attempted to use z4root which did not work.
Any information on this device would be helpful.

Hello everyone! (I'm Italian, sorry for my bad English)
So my problems are these:
Assuming I have a Chinese Smartphone (known as "Star i1900") I can't give it root permissions, I tried various methods including:
1. z4Root
2. GingerBreak
3. SuperOneClick (of this I have tried three different versions)
4. UniversalAndroot
5. UnlockRoot
6. A script with .bat extension found on this forum
None of it worked!
So first question: Is there a way to give permissions to Root this damn Chinese phone?
Second problem:
I want to change the Android version in this smartphone, currently there is a very slow 2.3.6 (made especially for him I guess, because it's a Dual Sim, TV etc.).
I mean, I understand that the phone has only one core 650 Mhz ... but I hope and believe that there is an Android version on which I run better.
