Hi, i got a lumia 550 and i am tired of it. Since my store is gone because for some reason it makes an unknown error in each download, i want to know if there's a way to install android on it or if a mod is under development.

Same here! Since WP-Internals has released an update, is there any advice you guys could give? Some ideas to try?

There are some threads here about installing android on other lumia models.
To find them easily, do a Google search for:
"Android for Lumia XDA"
OR
"Android Nougat for Lumia XDA"
The process for you should be similar but it probably won't be the easiest.

Is there any new development on this tablet. Been searchin google and all I come up with that is close is the MID 7015. I guess my question is can the same roms and rooting procedures work with the MID7012. TY in advance.

I was forced to get one of these cheaper devices for my wife. But I want to see what else I can do with it. I know its supposed to be possible to root, but have never attempted anything like this before. Can anyone help me?

I have been all over the Web trying to find a way to get adobe flash for this unit .. No luck .. out of frustration thinking maybe some of the paper work that came with this would help me .. I notice on the box it clearly states that this unit the coby kyros mid7012 does not support adobe flash video playback .. I will be sending this tablet back ..

i got one for the hollydays and have found how to add market but fails to show me newer apps for lack of compatibility or sh.t like that, some people claims that have downloaded flash 10.3, some say got netflix working, i just want to be able to add flash an a newer market cause mine is the old one. ty in advance

I got Netflix working but it's slow and choppy. The processor is slow and the wifi signal isn't stable. Sure would love a custom rom.

I have a star a3 which I've had for about a week, I am having trouble getting market place to work and also getting rid of the chinese apps. I have read the threads and even posted in another thread but I have not got any help. I have rooted the phone but the qqmobile security is not allowing me full access to superuser and I cannot install apps. Does anyone maybe a back up of the original software but minus the chinese apps with market place ready to go. I'm on 2.3.5

I don't have a copy of the ROM, but i can help you out with a copy of google play and root explorer. Using root explorer you should be able to delete the security app along with all the other Chinese applications (I do have a list of whats safe to delete too)
I bought 12 of these phones, from 2 different suppliers and none of them had this qqsecurity which you are talking about so I am not sure exactly what it does or how to get rid of it. But I can point you to a 2.3.5 ROM for the star A3 that is also minus all the crapware you don't need if you want to go down that route of re-flashing the whole phone.
I would like to have this ROM. How can I find it?

Yea ive also got a star a3 and i cant root in the first place so how did you do it if i know it would be alot of help
As for marketplace try going into manage applications and see if there is google play + google play services if not thats ur problem and also one more thing my a3 was bought last year and it is 2.3.4 and it will not let me update on my friends phone you cam check for updates but here it just says up to date and since there is no pc app for it i just cant update

Hi, you can install launcher on your phone is the best option right now. Windows market do have a kitkat app.

hey guys yes it is impossibe to run android on a windows machine at this time ( phones still down have the same cores as computers so its not like you can load a windows file on to a memory card and flash like you do on a pc . ( only because the companys found a loop hole on phones because legaly they have to allow it on pc ( basicly android uses shell (like comands ) and require a machine to read this ( android phones have a shell base comand ( windows are doss i believe soo yes impossible to do it on a lumia 520 ( becuase firstly its out dated and windows is unlikely so open the os on an old phone even if the law changes and secondly . youn would have to run a vry low level of android on it
In my opinion it can not be because maybe Microsoft is not really interested in this , because the current operating system is not yet completed the best

I guess it's not really possibly to install Android Lollipop on a Windows Phone that is designed just for the Windows Phone OS :\
It's kind of like you are trying to install Android Lollipop 5.1 on an iPhone 6 (or something)

I have a custom rom with Android 4.2.2 on my Gionee Elife E6 and I've been trying to install an .apk file for 3 days now, only to get the "There was a problem parsing the package" error. It took me 2 days and another device with Android 4.4 to realize the application has an Android version restriction. I've been searching the web for 3 hours now and I can't seem to find any help in changing the app's requirements, and while browsing the apk's files I cannot seem to find any file to have a code line about android version restriction. Can I get some help please? I am so desperate to get this app working right now

First of all, is there a nice dev who can move this question to the right forum?
Now to your question. There are some options to archive the goal. But the real problem could be, that the app really depends on a function which is just available on KitKat or higher. So even if you could install it. It most likely won't run.
And you'll just see FCs

I don't think the app uses any functions that 4.2.2 doesn't have, I am talking about Pokémon GO . Care to share with me those possibilities you are talking about?
