Who can tell me which way to save more battery?
For Notification LED and Always-on Display, how you guys prefer? Either one turn on? Or both turn on will not cause power consumption?

It depends on your signal, there is no definite answer to your question.
I'll explain, it all depends on your signal, if you have good wi fi signal and low data signal then set wi fi to always on and disable data but if you have like 2 bars of wi fi and full data signal then set wi fi to off when screen is off and use the data.
Because when you have low signal on either of those the phone uses more power to keep the signal alive.
Set always display on to off since the phone has the double tap future i see no point wasting 12% battery for it.
And set the location to offf if you don't use it which drains most of the battery.

[Q] WiFi Calling Question

I wanted to know the advantages of using Wifi calling other than coverage. Some question I had.
1. Does using wifi help with battery life? Does the cell radio turn off while wifi calling is enabled so as to save battery?
2. If so would using wifi be more battery efficient than cell radio?
3. Does text messages go through the wifi network when enabled?
4. Also if the wifi sleep policy is set to turn off on screen off... would it affect wifi calling when it is enabled?
Just some concerns I had about wifi calling before i use it. Help would be appreciated. Thank You
all i know wi fi callin will eat your battery due to poor programed program if u have wi fi callin this thing will eat battery even when off , i cant give u feedback on this one becasue i removed wi fi just for the reason stated ,
Could i use root explorer to remove the wifi calling app completely... so as to save battery? I'm on Trigger 1.5

[Q] Mobile data network doesn't disconect when on WiFi

3 out of 4 times my phone fails to disconnect the mobile data network when I connect to WiFi. This is draining my battery unnecessarily.
What could be causing this unless I can fix it so it is automatic I will have to stop using wifi so it doesn't waste power keeping both connections going.
I am running a 2.3.6 rom.
Do you toggle the connections or just enable/disable WiFi? When you enable WiFi and connects, does the 3G icon (the two arrows) appear next to the WiFi icon?
my phone does both I have a program that shuts it completely off when I go to work then back on when i get home based on time.the rest of the time it is on even if I go away which then it just disconnects but wifi is still on.
I have not paid enough attention to when it happens but when it does I have both the wifi icon and the data arrows at the same time.

I think you just answered your own question
What program are you using? Might a suggest a change for Juice Defender for example? or many others that do the same thing...

Clearing up confusion on battery usage with Wifi/3g enabling/toggling?

Can someone clear up what it means for the battery when both Wifi and 3g are enabled at the same time but only one is connected? So when I pull down my status bar (on Gingerbread) both are lit up. Depending on where I am, only one will be connected. What does it mean (battery wise) for a constant on Wifi connection to have 3g data enabled at the same time, and more importantly what does it mean to have 3g enabled and wifi enabled at the same time yet set to sleep/never? If I toggle wifi when the screen goes on via a battery saver, is that causing more battery drain constantly turning the wifi on and off than having the wifi kept alive (still sounds like this would not save the battery from the name but that's what I read!) Surely if there are only a few hotspots I connect to, it seems that using a location based wifi manager to turn it off when traveling makes sense. But when at a location, even on battery, is it best to just leave the wifi on constantly or would toggling with screen off save more energy?
Toggling it would increase battery life.

[Q]Power management stamina mode not turning off wifi and data

Im new to the M4 from a note 3
I used to use an app called green power to turn off wifi and data when my screen was off and it would turn back on when my screen came on
This saved battery and data usage
I could see the wifi and data getting enabled when my screen would turn on
On the M4 under Power management-stamina mode it says data and wifi will be disabled when screen is off
From what I found it says
It achieves this by blocking data traffic a minute after the handset is placed on standby. Whilst doing this the phone automatically logs your IP address, meaning you are instantly connected once the phone is powered on again.
Is it normal I still see the wifi and data icons as soon as the screen is on with no delay?I figured wifi would be turned completely off as well as data when screen is on so it may take a sec r 2 fr th wifi to reconnect thus I would see nothing then H as 3G would kick in or LTE then Wifi would kick in
Wifi icon is always showing as well as data icon
Can anyone confirm what occurs with their phone with this option on? Is wifi/3G icons still on?
Just want to know if this is normal behavior or if my data is still getting used

Question How to setup wifi/LTE to get best battery saver

Yo,
I dont know which settings are best in terms of wifi/LTE.
I ready I shouldnt have turned on in same time LTE and wifi, is it truth?
But I dont see another working options tbh. If I get bixby routines with leaving home and turning on LTE turning off wifi I need to have GPS on all time. Also if Iam changing by myself turning LTE and WIFI I always forget to turn off LTE and turn on wifi when I am back at home.
What settings u advice me to use for best battery lifespan

Actually, data is unused when wifi is enabled and connected. If you want to have data to be turned off, then you can create a routine. The only downside is if you are not connected to wifi, data will be enabled but wifi will still be enabled. For this, you need to manually disable wifi. But, keeping the wifi enabled throughout shouldn't really drain the battery a lot or so I have read!
