I accidentally deleted one of the important message in whatsapp chat. However this message is deleted after the last backup and before the coming backup. Is there anyway to restore the message?

[Q] Whatsapp reader or restore old messages

Hi all, i guess it's is already mentioned.. but i couldnt find it after searching for almost a day.
I have old whatsapp messages that i want restored, could anyone explain me the way how to do it?
greetings,
Gertjan
I'm not quite sure what your problem is. Did you change the device or reinstall whatsapp and want to restore a backup?
In general it should work following these steps:
http://www.teamandroid.com/2011/08/21/how-to-backup-chat-messages-in-whatsapp/
Follow the steps below to backup your Whats chat conversations:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Press the Menu key, and go to ‘Settings’.
- Scroll down and go to ‘More’;.
- Now tap once on “Chat History Backup” and backup will start.
That’s it! Next time when you re-install WhatsApp after a full reset, you will be asked to restore your previous backup (which is stored on your SD card).

If not, we need some more information...
However I guess it's not that useful too have all those older messages in whatsapp, because they are just filling the internal space and you can't easily access them (you would have to press "load older messages" again and again and whatsapp will become slower and slower ...).
A good possibility is to transfer the full whatsapp backup to your PC and use a tool called "Whatsapp Extractor" to display all the conversations.

is there a way to restore iphone whatsapp backup/history to android htc one X?
Re: Whatsapp reader or restore old messages
WhatsApp automatically makes backups every 24 hours and stores them on the microSD memory card of your Android phone. To restore the deleted messages of WhatsApp, you will need to uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp. During the installation process, you will be prompted to restore the lost message history of WhatsApp. Choose restore your missing chats.
Today I woke up in the morning and saw that all my whatsapp messages were deleted, I did not perform any back or restore from any backup utility such as Titanium backup. I am on Android 4.3 on Samsung note 2.
I tried to uninstall whatsapp and re-install again, it asked for restoring messages from backup folder but only restored messages till date 30-Dec-2013, although message backup was present with latest backup of yesterday’s date i.e. 23-Feb-2014.
Please let me know how can I restore all the messages and resolve this issue.

Have you tried whatsapp migrator tool?
:good:
Try this way
Have you tried to restore by WhatsApp. If you have done a backup, messages, chats can be easily restored. If not, try Android Data Recovery on RecoveryAndroid. I used it to get my lost Whatsapp messages back days ago.:highfive:

First off check out these three guides for recovering deleted texts:
1. How to Find Saved Text Messages on SIM Card
2. How to Retrieve Text Messages from Someones Phone
3. How to Restore Deleted Text Messages
Next I would get an application like SMS Backup + this will backup and restore your SMSs to Gmail and Google Calendar you can also schedule it to backup up your SMSs automatically.
Finally after you have safely backed up your current SMSs find the application and select clear default cache and see if that works. Hope this helps you

[Q] Unable to restore SMS backup!

Hi guys, here's the deal.
Before rooting and upgrading my phone, I was using GO SMS Pro on a stock XWLPD firmware and had about 29k messages.
I used "SMS Backup & Restore" and got a backup of my messages (XML + XSL files).
Then I rooted my phone and flashed it with CyanogenMod 10.1, now I can't restore my messages. Tried using the same program I got the backup, also tried "Super Backup" and "Titanium Backup", none of them were able to restore.
Any clues...?
You getting any error messages? Does it start to restore then fail?
Try to contact the devs of GoSMS
Pro, I hope they could help you. Their email is [email protected].

SMS Backup & Restore keeps trying to find the files and the app freezes, causing me to force close it. Titanium Backup and Super Backup don't even start restoring, but say they are unable to restore the messages.

It's not about GO SMS, the backup generates a xml file by default, and I guess it's a default file for backup and restore. Is it right?
EDIT: Well, I think that somehow SMS Backup & Restore got corrupted, because I re-installed it and now it's restoring the messages. It's gonna take a while though, for it's restoring 29k messages. =P
Same Problem

I also had the same problem. But the following link seems to provide the rescue.

If you can't see the chat messages in WhatsApp on your Android, please go "Settings -> Apps -> All -> WhatsApp" and then choose Clear Cache and App Data.
Or you can use Backuptrans Android WhatsApp Transfer to restore chats from backup file to your Phone after reinstalling WhatsApp.
Good luck!
