Stable Rom with good battery life - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

What would you guys recommend for most stable and battery life? I'm currently on PureNexus with franco kernel, seems to be very stable for the past few months. Not sure if there are better options for both battery/stability, any recommendations?
A bonus would be if it works with the HDR apk here: Google Camera HDR, currently with above rom and kernel it can't run and keeps crashing.
Thanks!

I am using Nexus Experience ROM 11.1 with Radon. The app works perfectly too. You can try it.

I don't think it's an issue with radon, but my phone doesn't seem to work well with it. I can't remember the exact issue I had but something along the lines of phone crashing. Somehow no other users had the same issue so I just stuck to another kernel. I could give it a try again though.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Use franco or nexus experience stock kernel. The stock kernel works well too. But the ROM is fantastic.

Question:
Which one of this rom as less bugs ?
Are ALL the components working? (compass, gyroscope, gps, etc..)
How is the battery life?
How it is compering with nightlyfoure 4.8?
Installing GTR now.
Perfect Peso 2.3 in my opinion is pretty good. I'd recommend it for daily use. There are a few bugs that you may run into once or twice, but it's not a big deal really. Doesn't actually affect anything. Plus, performance is great!

i was using the 2.2, i changed because it had too many bugs. 2.3 mmm i'll try it.
btw about GTR, at first boot it was the same, i changed some settings,
cpu 320-710 to 480-600
ondemand to conservative
not selected to VM48m
not active to compcache 18% (default)
disable boot animation. about boot, there is a boot sound !! it's nice, but annoing. now i need to figure out how to deactivate it the noisy boot sound...
i rebooted
suddenly the settings has changed ... to the ICS interface nice
and the clock is centred ... i don't will it centred ... btw don't care ... it's ok.
to be continue ...

Yeah, test it all out and choose the rom you like best . Also, PP does have ICS settings. Just reboot your phone after the first start up for it to apply. Also, PP has an annoying startup sound. It's freaking loud and might scare you lol. Just delete it at /system/media/android_audio.mp3 if you do test it out. Performance wise.... I think perfect peso beats GTR lol. But I tested 2.0 GTR only, haven't tried V3.1 or 3. yet, so yeah, just try both and stick to the one you like.
ATM, using Kssood's GB MIUI It's awesome lol.... apart from the bugs haha
I'm also looking for a stable ROM,I'll keep my eye on this thread.
btw, I also can't find O2 Rom...

tested GTR
it work fine only with his standard settings, ... it means too much battery drain
+ it has a terrible bug, when you swipe down the bar the whole system has a micro lag, thet stops the music too ...
there are scroll lags... and another fail, compass doesn't work! here too, it was the same with nightly foure 4.8 ... mmm strange btw... can only be the kernel.
I pass GTR, not for me. but nice interface.
i hope that the CM9 is soon ready for an all day use...
i'll try now SlimGen slimgen

New better rom?

Hey all.
I have been using this rom [ROM][JB4.3]Ganbarou GT-P7500/7501/7510/7511 Android 4.3 based on CM10.2 for some while.
It is fast and nice!
And battery life is great!
Buit after some time it gets slow and i have to restart the tablet.
And Netflix dont work.
What stable and nice rom can you recommend?
I just want a rom where all works.
What about? CyanogenMod (http://www.cyanogenmod.org/ )
Thanks
Regards Daniel
Toldo 's jellybean ICS ROM plus A1 kernel. Best and stable performance you can get.

I tried Toldos Jellybean rom for a while. It is great except for batterylife. Now using cm 10.1. Has a good batterylife and its works well.
I have only been using Ganbarou for quite some time and it is great. Especially the battery life. I do agree that it does get laggy after some time, but it does not bother me too much. It will be the deciding point for me to change, though.
Luckilly BeeGee has taken over Nameless rom from Kasper. I understand there to be some screen glitches on it, but I might take it for a drive over the weekend. If it gives me what Ganbarou gives me, without the lagg, and the glitches is not too annoying, I might stay with it.

Hi all
I haven't changed my rom in more than a year and I'm completely lost. I used CM 10.1 but it has graphic glitches and it sometimes freezes. I'm also looking for something as stable as possible, with multi user support. I use the tablet mostly for video and web browsing. Don't really care about having the latest version of Android, as long as it's equal or higher than 4.2 for the multi user feature.
Can you please give me some advice?

Can't chose which ROM to use

Hi everyone ,I really need your opinion about which system is the best system , I can't chose between Miui and lineage .
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
We can't tell it to you, because it depends of you. I don't know what you like, and what you prefer. These systems are very good, but very different. The only thing I can tell is: try both and decide.
I would go for resurrection. Great customization and almost every day updates... I'm using it since 6 months with radon kernel. It's awesome and rock solid. You wouldn't regret it.
Somebody just made a paranoid android rom for our phone, but it isn't stable yet. Resurrection is kinda going back and from not being stable and stable. Los has been stable for some time now, nitrogen os and aosp are some other stable roms.

I see it depends on me , but each has some good features. Miui is rich for features but android 6 ! Too old for me .Miui has great camera and beauty mode is very good, Miui also has a vivid UI . in the other side i want Vulcan API for gaming . that's why i can't choice

miui lacks smartlock which is a huge dealbreaker for me. i compared camera quality by myself... for me the quality is the same but miui camera app is way nicer. in daily usage resurrection feels way more fluid to me ... well try by yourself. u can flash miui or exiaomi.eu rom anytime and switch to resurrection rom.
Ressurection Remix lacks Night Mode, for me in NitrogenOS Google Assistant was not working. After many ROMs I settled on AOSiP.
Yep, Aosip 5.9 with Franco kernel best combination right now for me. Good performance and at the same time getting 7+ hrs of SOT.

Rom suggestion

Hi, i'm with the MIUI.eu Rom at the moment but i'd like to change Rom, what Rom would you suggest me?
I'm looking for a Rom with the best camera quality (i know that it will be worse than miui probably), battery life and features.

I guess camera and ROM doesn't have much of a relation. I would suggest you to try the latest port of google camera with hdr+. It wheels with most ROMs.
For better battery life you can use a custom kernel like radon which i personally use and i have to say it's pretty awesome in terms of battery and performance.

Best Oreo Rom

Which is the best oreo rom for redmi note 4? With no bugs, lots of customisation good battery life and ram management...
Please reply...Thankss...
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
I'm Vote for Cardinal
If you want more customisations then go for Cardinal otherwise Pixel experience is best. Personally I'm using pixel and miui epic with dual patcher.
Is pip working in cardinal? What are your views on aosp extended and liquid remix?
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
None of the oreo roms are completely stable. There are some niggling issues everywhere. You should stick with nougat if you have low tolerance for bugs, big or small.
Having said that, I have personally liked the performance of omni and liquid remix. I'm currently using omni oreo.
You should move this discussion elsewhere. Right now you are in development zone.

I didn't test PiP, but I've seen people saying it works (requires YT Red tho). No bugs so far. I use all kinds of mods like Xposed modules (Gbox etc.), XTREMEmusic by androidexpert and all of them work flawlessly.
I'm currently using aex nougat but the problem is that it's lagging and battery backup is not upto the mark I'm getting 7hrs sot hardly....
Please suggest which rom should i try...
My requirements are smooth experience better battery life and lots of customisation...
