Is there a stable of PACEfied AmazFit version 1.2.29i? - Amazfit

According to Huami website, the 1.2.29i stable Chinese version was released on 8/4/2017. It has so many improvements on GPS, new heart rate calculation, new steps calculation, new sleep calculation etc. Understand there is a DEV Amazfit Pace, but the DEV seems to have many new unstable features that some of us don't need. I think some of us only need a stable professional ROM that has precise accurate steps count, GPS, heart rate, sleep detection, calories burn, and speed. I am using the English 1.3.3a ROM, and it is still way far from accurate on these areas especially the steps count--you can get 10 steps by swinging your arm/watch back and front 2 times.

No, there is no stable PACEfied version so far.

[Q] Energy consumption details per application in android

Hi all
I'm working on an academic project and I need to measure how much energy is consumed by my application.
But my requirements are annoying and I have not found anything that cover all my requirements.
I like to know if you know anything that can help me.
My requirements:
1-I need to calculate energy consumption per sensor/device for my application. For example I need to see how much energy is used by GPS or Wifi in my app.
2-I need to results in mAh. Percent results are somehow ambiguous for my tests(they may be good in normal usage to see what has spent most of your energy, but not in my case).
3-I want to get these work on Galaxy S5. Then Android 4.4.2 and its limitations.
4-I don't want to use rooted device.
I have tried powertutor(even though I'm not sure if it works correctly in android 4.4.2). Rather than this tool do you know anything else?
I thought if there is any app that can run another app in an isolated environment to calculate its energy consumption.
Because I'm writing my target app, even I can add additional codes in it for calculating energy costs.
I have seen several papers for calculating energy cost in various journals, but I prefer a simpler approach.
Any idea if it is possible to do so at all?
Regards

Overheating: Stock kernel vs AndroPlus

Hello there,
In the last 2-3 weeks, after cleanly reflashing 32.2.A.5.11 with stock repacked kernel, I noticed that my phone is getting unusually hot. This was happening especially while using navigation (Waze) with data on, and consisted in the SoC getting to 50-55°C, apps getting closed (including foreground Waze) and phone being generally unresponsive.
Before this last reflash I used AndroPlus v42, with largely the same suite of installed applications, and with a slight difference in ambient temperature of maximum 5°C due to obvious reasons.
So the question rises: Has anyone seen this kind of difference in thermal behavior between stock and AndroPlus kernels?
Thanks!
PS: I didn't go too much into the details as I don't have them, especially about the previous kernel settings. So I only expect some rather generic answers. I might decide to switch between the two kernels in the next 1-2 weeks depending on available time.
PS2: I only switched to stock because I wanted to have full original functionality of the phone, but might decide to go back to AndroPlus as X-Reality and some camera de-noise functions are of minimal importance to me.
I recommend you use Zach's kernel (https://forum.xda-developers.com/z5...rnel-zachs-kernel-playground-z5c-wip-t3350690) by @zacharias.maladroit. Latest version for Nougat (2_12_2) is stable and runs quite cool. Last night I just disabled Core Control and enabled SOC temp toggle under Thermal using Kernel Adiutor. Currently testing if it makes a difference.
Anyways, give it a try.

Stratos2 : 2.0.81.0 vs 2.3.11.1

Stratos2 : 2.0.81.0 vs 2.3.11.1
I don't know exactly the differences between these firmware’s on my Stratos 2 watch.
Which one is better to use ?
Are there any cons and pros ?
2.3.10.5 was best in my opinion, kinda regret updating, but not that much to downgrade and wipe watch data, i can only tell my opinion after switching from 10.5 to 11.1, no kcal measurement form daily steps, some older apk watchafces are not compatible anymore, too long strings in updated translations so UI in some places looks just bad, slightly better battery life
Thx.
Who knows difference between 2.0.81.0 and 2.3.11.1 (firmware for Stratos2)
Hybrid vs Stock Global better for Stratos2

Heart frequency overview (week/ month) in Amazfit/ Zepp?

I am comparing my Garmin 5x to T-rex; lots of items, analyses are similar, T-rex does best OK in the comparison; however, I have found ONE very serious lack of feature.
I cannot find a way to produce a week/ month overview of heart frequencies (resting, mean, maximal) to compare daily, weekly and monthly average values.
All other, completely irrelevant parameters have such an overview, but just this one (heart frequency) not (or I cannot find it). Heart frequency monitoring on my T-rex is set to continue measuring and I only can see the daily values in Zepp, when looking back. Change from Amazfit to Zepp gave also no improvement.
Any help on this? Is this really lacking or is this functionality just hidden somewhere in the menu structure?

Question System wide drops to 60hz after update

Hello, after the MIUI 12.5.3.0 EEA Update, I'm experiencing refresh rate drops to 60hz while using the phone and it reaches 38-39c battery temperature. Before the phone stayed at 90hz just fine. Is anyone experiencing the same problem?
Yes I have noticed the same. Also when the battery gets to 30-35% it forces the screen to 60Hz. I had to reboot after fully charging for it to go back to 90Hz. Not sure if it's bug or intended battery savings.

I'm not getting the drop when the battery is lower than 35%. Did you get drops when the battery reach 38-39c also with previous firmware or only with the new one released yesterday?
Also, I don't know if it's normal, but 60hz on this phone feels a bit more stuttery than other 60hz phones I tried. Like the animations are stuttering/dropping frames more often at 60hz than 90hz

I'm not sure I pushed the phone to higher temperature before this update. But I can't recall it happening before. And yes 6Hz sometimes feels more like 30Hz for certain animations.
Worth to note is that I'm on China stable 12.5.3 but did not notice any of this on 12.5.2.
I think I'll try to flash xiaomi.eu weekly or stable next week when I have the bootloader unlocked... I really don't understand how the animations at 60hz stutter sometimes and they seem smoother on my friend REDMI 9 with a mediatek cpu..

There are people reporting the same issue on other phones too over at xiaomi eu. Also xiaomi eu has not been as smooth for me as the china stable hence why I'm on this firmware in the first place. Better optimization overall. The 12.6 weeklys has a little graphical big too that I can't stand in the notification center/control center. Xiaomi have not fixed it in almost two months.
Xiaomi eu stable 12.5 suffers from stuttering animations when opening apps frequently. Not well optimized at all compared to global stable.

I'm currently on 12.5.3 EEA firmware. Next week I can flash 12.5.3 CN like you have, the 21.7.7 CN weekly, or xiaomi.eu stable or weekly.
If I understand correctly you're suggesting the CN Stable and to avoid xiaomi.eu and the CN weekly? Does the CN version have play store already installed and all the bands available also in the global rom?
Anyway, if I'd have to flash the CN official rom should I just download the 4gb ROM and flash it in fastboot mode using MiFlash while ticking CLEAN ALL? It's my first xiaomi phone, not new to modding but I just want to be sure

At this point I would recommend China stable. Later on perhaps eu weekly will have it sorted. There is some cleaning to do when first installing china but after that I don't notice any Chinese stuff really. And yeah the fastboot install with MiFlash is the easiest way with clean all, don't lock! Don't forget to not lock the bootloader when flashing. Basic Google services are preinstalled and also Play Store. I only had to manually install calendar sync apk. All bands are working.
As an extra I downloaded and installed the latest stable release of the system launcher from apkmirror. So I recommended patching boot.img with Magisk app then flash it in fastboot any time you want after setting up the ROM.
After all this the system runs very very smooth.

just to be sure if it's a normal thing, have you ever noticed in any rom that the animations of closing/opening apps and switching apps sometimes get faster by themself? It happens if I open multiple apps and start switching between them; at some point all the animations become really faster by themself like they speed up 2.5x.
I don't know if it's intended or it's a bug, noticed it both in 12.5.1 and 12.5.3

No I haven't noticed that personally in any ROM so far. I would take notice if that would happen.

I have the same issue... so annoying. Please post when you found a fix, I will also.
EDIT - On MIUI 12.5.3 The system goes to 60hz when the phone reaches a certain temperature. The threshold for it is quite low.

Yes, they need to set the threshold higher... I don't know how it is in other roms like the chinese one.
Anyway I don't have big problems with the throttling to 60hz if the treshold is higher, but I feel the phone is much slower with 60hz compared to others, the animations stutter and lose frames much more often.
