Hi,
Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon variant
Current ROM: Resurrection Remix
Recovery: Official TWRP 3.1.1-0
Bootloader is unlocked
How do I go back to MIUI 8.5.4.0 without bootloop or hardbricking my device?

Just download the flashable zip of MiUI. Reboot to recovery > Wipe dalvik cache, cache, data, system > flash the ROM >flash lazyflasher.zip >reboot. You're done.

If you don't have the bootloader unlocked, it's normal it will stuck on boot.
While about a stock rom for Redmi, you have them, but you need always to unlock bootloader first.
I'm searching Roms for bootloader locked, but there are not too much, and the only one you have are developed from a Thai rom, full of bugs (SIM problems first).

try this:
-after you've flashed the rom, and it' s in bootloop, reflash the twrp 3.0.2 again (miflash or fastboot is the same, but miflash in download mode is better(to flash it with miflash you need e miflash version of twrp))
-if the recover runs fine, then wipe cache from the new recovery (factory reset)
-restart in system
I've never tested this with CM but, with xiaomi.eu miui and bootloader locked worked fine for me (redmi 3 - ido)

If you officially unlocked the bootloader, then used alka twrp to flash any stock from without any patched. Alka twrp: http://en.miui.com/thread-282773-1-1.html?mobile=2 or coffee twrp, Cofface twrp: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3369341, I personally preferred alka twrp.
If unlocked unofficially then used: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3371667
A good thread about twrp for kenzo: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3406708

yes ofc it will relock you bl. but you can easily unlock it after flashing you rom.
after flashing in twrp you should reboot directly to bootloader, unlock and reboot.

Why don't flash a Xiaomi.eu MIUI version, that will surely install via TWRP?
Hi. I am using Nougat based AoSIP ROM, and I want to flash MIUI 9 ROM. I also have TWRP installed.
Is it possible to upgrade to MIUI 9?

Yes, just format the data ,cache and system partition using twrp and then flash the miui 9 zip file. Use ZCX twrp to avoid installation errors !
