Amazingly awesome. Its is very fast on a class 10 card. Recommended gapps ?
Also not able to access sd card from computer through usb cable. It is getting stuck at "USB mass storage".

Understood. Thanks JOSH1X. I will play around to see whether there are any bugs.

Can you put some more detailed instructions up, or point me in a better direction to learn how to install this kind of stuff? I assume you would probably need the Android SDK and things. But please, don't feel like you have to go out of your way to help me. I can probably find out how on my own if need be.

Thanks for this awesome to see a legendary device revived :good:

yeah me too but new project is a bit more important to me since nexus one i dont use it anymore im making aosp rom for my tablet

hi.i have a stupid question.can you make a tool for nexus one,something like the wugfresh.i try to resoft my N1,but i didn't succeed with my win10 running laptop.sorry fory noonb questio,maybe it's impossibile to make,but a try diffrent things,cables,port,pc,laptops,etc but it doesn't work.with respect tibi v.

I still have an old nexus one. What can i expect to work with lineageos11?

Would you consider porting this to htc desire? The resources over there are basically dead..., pretty sad though. Just want a rom that is updated with the lastest sources. Knowing that making a rom isn't easy so if you're busy than please just ignore me.
Nice work and sorry for the bothering!!

Thanks J0SH1X!! This SD-based ROM really brings the N1 back! Though it sometime FC or reboot, still it's much better and usable. Any plan to refine it sometime?

[RECOVERY][IMAGE] Clockwork 3.0.0.5/Git-20110106 [TEST1]

Warning: whether you preform these steps correctly or incorrectly, you may be left with a device which cannot be recovered to a previous state. Because this process operates on the recovery partition it leaves you with little room to recover if flashed incorrectly, especially if your normal Android mode doesn't boot.
(although realistically you can just flash ESPRIMG.zip from HBOOT to recover, or fastboot)
So here it is ladies and gentlemen: Clockwork 3.0.0.5, based on a git version pulled/compiled on January 6th, 2011 from the CyanogenMod 7.x (CM7) repository. So what's new? Nothing that I can tell! Not sure why it deserves version 3.x, but I guess changing the text color and background is considered a 'major upgrade'.
This is provided in .img format - NOT an update.zip format. That means you'll have to flash it to your recovery partition using flash_image. Obviously that means you first need root AND S-OFF. No, I won't tell you how to root your phone or what S-OFF is.
Instructions:
Code:
$ su
# flash_image recovery recovery-cw3-test1.img
'flash_image' isn't included intentionally - if you're smart enough to know how to flash this properly and understand the risks, then you might be smart enough to know where to get 'flash_image'.
How'd I do it? Top Secret - I'd have to kill you if I told you.
Download link: [REMOVED - use one from CM7]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14943973/recovery-cw3-test1.img

Not from me, sorry. I don't see any point in supporting the legacy method, especially when this version of CW doesn't give any readily-apparent advantages to the older one.
Nice find. I actually have S-OFF but when I start this recovery it is telling me error mounting system, data and others. Is this normal or is something wrong with my setup?

It IS a test build. I'm about to flash it now, I'll let you know if it's just you or not
And FLASH_IMAGE is indeed included, at least its built into cm6.
Edit: it isn't just you, the recovery is practically nonfunctional haha. There are errors all over when you boot into it, mount usb storage crashes it, and it can't mount anything, including the sd card, so its virtually pointless to flash at this point

Pretty much yeah. It was orange instead of green. Some of the menus had different names, easier to understand for noobs, but they had the same content. But don't flash it until it's more functional.

I was at work when I uploaded the image and because of that I only briefly tested it. The errors at the beginning aren't critical, but I'll look into the overall functionality being broken, at some point tonight.
Hence this being a "TEST".
Thanks
I appreciate that. I like beta testing new things. It does seem to have a few more functions. I just couldn't revert back.....

Actually.. i see a new option to partition SD card straight from the recovery menu... this is a very useful feature... and i think thats why it deserves that build jump from 2.5 to 3.0..... but at this point... it is in an UNUSABLE state.. i understand it is a test build... but i cannot test anything because it crashes on every single option you can possibly choose... will go back to 2.5 and wait for a stable, or at least more functional test build... hope to see some improvements soon... I do not doubt that you guys can have this thing up and running in no timee.. its a good starting point.. Keep the work going... looking forward to it...
was anyone else hoping for a terminal like in good ol' amon_ra? I was...

S-off really is a must have. I attached the working build of 3.0.0.5, you have to either use flash_image with it, or fastboot flash, both of which require s-off.

Compiled Fota for 8500KK7

I heard some things I can't recall xD
It wasn't from personal experience. I'm going to flash XXKK7 soon, once the firmware is down and try the new FOTA.
I was getting massive problems getting android back on my phone after I re-flashed it. Every SINGLE time I did it, the wave S would flash as it initialised and would just crash all of a sudden. Every time I tried doing little changes, I'd reflash and try again and it just got ridiculous. I must've tried 5 times to get Android back on there.
Hopefully I will have more success with this firmware and Bada 2.0!
EDIT:
Exact same problem. I'm losing the will to lose with this now... I must be doing SOMETHING wrong. Can someone enlighten me?
I'm using XXKK7 with the custom bootloader and was using XXKK5 with the XPKJ1 (Think it's called that) custom firmware and bootloader and a thousand times I've had this problem. I flash the phone with those exact firmware setups and then copy over the galaxyboot folder with the image file in and the other stuff and put the mkextimages into the root of the internal storage and boot into recovery mode. That works perfectly.
THIS is where I have no idea what to do. The tutorial doesn't specify even slightly what I do here. Do I click reboot immediately, or do I select format SD or some other combination? I do remember using some of them before I booted and it worked, but I've tried so much and it's wasted so much time I want to know what I'm doing rather than testing blind and then waiting 10-20 minutes with a wiped phone again. I'm so tired of wasting my time because of what seems to be like laziness. Every time I boot using the normal call and power buttons, it gets bast the galaxy boot screen, does the galaxy animation and flashes for a bit, as it should, to initialise it all and freezes for a second and then crashes. I haven't checked for a while and have forgotten but I think it's in bootloop when it does that. When I say bootloop, I mean black screen on the phone that then turns off after a bit and then on again, like that in an endless cycle. After removing the battery, I can then try to boot using the normal android call+power but it does the same thing.
I did have Android on there but it got so slow and bogged down, corrupted my SD Card that I couldn't stand it anymore and did a clean flash, which should send the phone back to factory default, Bada 2.0. Ever since that I've never been able to put android back on there and I can't be bothered to do it again until someone can suggest something to help the problem.
I've literally reflashed around 10-15 times to try and fix the problem.
Could someone tell me what they do to get android on their phone, specifically using XXKK7, from start to finish, including how they flash? Just for information, to speed things up, I've flashed custom FOTA files on along with standard files. Do I have to put the custom files on after? Bada works fine, as it always has.
Thanks, sorry to sound pissy and arrogant and rude, but I'm just annoyed I can't get this to work because of a lack of guidance.
- Ross

Just leave as it is and don't press anything, it must shut down when finish process automatically
Edit
It also mention in Tutorial
Then this should popup (after the SGS screen)
DO NEVER, ABSOLUTELY NEVER PULL OUT BATTERY OR TOUCH THE PHONE IN THIS PROCESS
http://shadowas1.com/badadroid/IMG_0050.JPG
This can take up to 5 minutes.
Now, Two things can happen
1. The phone boots bada
2. The phone shuts down
In any of this cases your phone is absolutely fine. If you have case 2 you can boot bada to check if everythings alright if you wish.
Assuming we all boot bada shut down the phone again
Boot android in the normal way by holding the Power and Call key

Honestly, I'd call Android retarded in the SD realm xD
Not only did it corrupt my card, but it puts lots of folders completely unorganised and visible into your SD. I like how Bada manages it personally. I'm sure there's a way to get around it, but it seems clumsy.

the way i see it, bada causes the issues by not using a 100% fat filesystem (something else likte tfs4 or such), i usually got around it by starting over with wiping the partitions from the SDcard and then creating about 3 primary partitions and ensuring the first is FAT formatted by windows (rest for android data and cache if wanted for such), both bada and android should them manage to use the FAT partition fine.

You set up the partitions yourself using Linux?
I'm still running off of NAND (Running way faster now), I presume you are using the SD Version?
EDIT: I have noticed that I can't access music on Android now and I was having problems with the gallery. Damnit.
i'm using NAND method because my SDcard is too slow, the Nand version mounts external SDcard as internal SDcard in android.

No it does not.
<•invisiblek> would need f2fs-support in the boot.img's fstab
<•invisiblek> and if recovery thought it'd be a good idea to re-write that, you're going to end up with an un-bumped boot.img
its in his long term plan but its not there right now.

also i'm in the process of building/uploading a new version (6.58.9.1) which supports the cm updater, expect those to start rolling in shortly

Well, tried on my D850 and installed and ran fine, but 2 issues:
1. Can't mount external SD (SanDisk 64Gb in FAT32 but soon going back to ExFat), the path for it is incorrect and no option to change it
2. Installed a Zip file that replaced the kernel and even though it said all went ok it was never installed
Had to flash back the TWRP recovery (even though that one can't read my external_SD either no matter the format) so I can flash the new kernel properly.
Waiting for your next release to test it out.

but if needed ill do the whole thing
itgs nto clear to me if we can start with a kk rom to make a lollipop rom (port) but if we can I will give it a try unless I see soemoen else is looking into it. I always wanted to build form scratch.
I believe a kernel needs to be written. I myself don't have the proper experience to write one. Sorry. You cannot just simply port a ROM with a new updated verison of Android without having a Kernel that will run the dang thing. Will someone please PM me about a kernel and a ROM, I'll risk my device to beta testing if someone with experience will write up a kernel and someone bakes a ROM such as CM12 (unofficial). Let's get these users CM12!
it looks like the droid razr m is being put on cm12 (its beta now) using the kit kat bootloader
http://www.phonearena.com/phones/co...4G-LTE,Motorola-DROID-RAZR-M/phones/7043,7346
same processor
Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 chipset
gpu Adreno 225
i am sure other stuff is differnt. but maybe not so much.
never built a rom from scratch.
what exactly is the boot loader (its not a different name for the kernel is it this is the one that gets me confused)
recovery needed
rom it self (system dirs
blobs again not sure exactly what this except it binaries.
i hope to have a phone in my hands soon. I was just going to play around with it but who knows

A boot loader is the way to flash [EDIT]ROOT partitions. It's how you load the recovery, it is how you flash the kernel if you are still S-ON in this case. Without an unlocked boot loader, it makes things really hard to work with. There are work-a-rounds but it still makes things difficult. Most locked samsung devices have locked bootloaders and in my case, with the Galaxy Note 3, it prevents AOSP from being installed (or basically anything that isn't TouchWiz). THIS is the reason I want this phone to gain Lollipop capabilities. It should not be hard because we have unlocked bootloader and S-OFF capabilities!! Let's get it done.
sp bootloader is the Hboot portion. it loads first of all (and needn't be changed for CM12)
kernel--- this is what needs to be done first.
i will build up a test machine on a spare PC and see if I can get one to compile.
there are other devices that use the same processor and gpu on verizon, so they may have the same radio as well.
other questions i am not sure about.
will an existing recovery work or will it need ot eb be a lollipop recovery ( and also built)
I guess I should try and build cm11 from source first
I'm pretty sure, but uncertain, that all you need is a recovery that supports SELinux. That is a REQUIREMENT for Lollipop.

i had a dinc4 in the past and I just bought on eon ebay. do we expect a cm12 or other lolipop rom.
does any one know what would need to be done to make one.

Hi, anyone tried AICP? Swap internal and sd on cm12.1 don't rrally give enough space for sdcard
Both PAC and AICP recent builds use the internal swap that CM 12.1 uses. If you need more SD storage add an SD card. The swap gives you significantly more space for apps rather than pictures and the such that can be stored on an external SD card.

So there's no lollipop rom without swaping the internal cause I need space for obb and data not for pic or something else
I don't know of any that do not use the swap.

[SOLVED] Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has treble support now?

Good Morning/afternoon/evening/night people. I've been very confused about what I saw in Castro last night.
I'm running a SM-T820 and I've got Tweaked 5.1 by @rorymc928. I can't mount data partition in TWRP anymore (that's another issue, not to be discussed here).
So, I installed Castro last night and wanted to check on the overall specs and stuff for this tab because I wanted to port a ROM for it. And I saw this (attachments).
I wonder if it actually is Project Treble, and if it is, can I flash an A-Only GSI to this tab?
I would like anybody to give insight on what this might be.
Thanks,
Ishaq

To get the data to mount you'll need to format data, then reboot to twrp. Then if you check the mount section it should be mounted /or will mount.
Note as you are formatting data, you will want to backup your internal storage first.

Good Afternoon. Thank you for telling how to mount data again. I'll backup internal storage and do everything as stated. But also could you please give some insight on if I can flash GSI's on this Tab? Because Castro said this Tab is Treble supported.
Btw I'm that 666 person with a changed username
Edit: Seems like Castro gives misinformation. Man I had got my hopes up.
And if that's the case I have a question: Can I flash Android 10 GSI's using Valera's Treble thingy?

Not sure re the flashing, I haven't tried it. If you do try just be comfortable with recovery back from basic firmware. Often people get stuck, think it's bricked, but it just needs to get to download - stock - and back that way.
Let me know how you get on

If that's the case then I'll not try to flash Valera's Treble because my Laptop's SSD is dead and it doesn't boot. Thank you for all the information rory
And since my question has been answered, I want to know how to close a thread
