Hello,
I denied by mistake all the smartphone accesses to Services Google Play in the user personal data authorizations (modify the system, read the position, read the agenda...) This was done on a Galaxy Note 4 running a Resurrection Remix ROM based on Nougat 7.1. The smartphone boots, then Android can be opened for half a dozen of seconds, then the screen freezes, and the phone reboots 1 minute later in some kind of boot loop with a phone access during a few seconds every cycle.
When I open Android the smartphone instantaneously freezes if I try to run an application including Titanium Backup, and the phone does not memorize any changes in the authorizations regarding the user personal data preventing me to correct the problem.
I wiped the cache and the Dalvik cache, I installed again Resurrection Remix with OpenGapps, but to no avail. Same boot loop. I would like to avoid the Full Factory Reset because I did my last back up about 10 days ago and I modified a lot my phone since the last backup.
I searched in TWRP Recovery Mode which file could contain the preferences of Services Google Play to edit it, but I could not find it.
Does anybody know which file I could edit or whether another means to recover the phone without wiping the full system would exist? I thank you in advance for any piece of information,
pit

My S1 keeps Rebboting it gets to the ui and then after say a minute or 2 it reboots, This can go on all day like today then finaly after 7 hours it stays on, last time it did this i had to do a rcovery.. then everything was fine for 3 weeks or so.
I'm on 4.0.3 r1a Rooted. Is this a Sony s1 problem or a software problem..?
I read this on another forum anyone know if this is the cause.
The problem comes from Google account Because, every time when you restart system, system will automatically check update for android market. and it takes huge system memory, and when memory is minimum, system restart automatically..?
Could this be true as i have a load of apps installed and set to automatically update..?

I suggest you try to back up your stuff(if you have root use Carbon or Titanium) and then try factory reset and see if problem persist. A guy on these forums had a problem where everything was saved to RAM and RAM wasnt freed up after that, leading to constant reboots.
Thanks, i know a Reset Works then it will be fine for a week or 2 then i'd have to do it again, it's getting on my nerves now keep re doing it.
Good afternoon.
Recently, I dealt with the message "The Contacts application stopped". The same with Calendar app and sometimes with the Camera app. The same issue I had with the original keyboard LG, which I did not use so I did not mind that. Basically, the message appeared only after backing up with Titanium backup before I switched back to Smart Keyboard Pro.
Deleting data of the application did not help. So I had to do a Factory reset. But that logically resulted in deleting Smart Pro Keaboard and thus I was done because LG keyboard was not working again. So I could not enter the password for Wi-Fi, could not log into my Google Account and therefore all my backups were useless (LG backup, Google backup and Titanium Backup). Now, as I write this, I get an idea to install Titanium Backup from the card, so maybe next time).
So finally I had to flash the phone. Then I restored everything (root, applications, SDfix, Folder mount, ... ) and the phone worked for about a week without any problems. Then Contacts started to stop (again: "The application Contacts stopped"). I went around by using another application for contacts. But then even Settings began to stop. For example when I need to turn on Wi-Fi, I'll hold the icon for a list of available networks and the app Settings stops. The same when I try to set the background image or when I try to access the list of applications or try to view Phone info.
Prior to these problems, the phone went over a year without any problems. I've got SafeRemover, but I just deleted useless apps like Google Music and so on. I cannot delete data of the stopping apps since I cannot get into the menu.
I do not I have any suspicious newly installed application. No task killer, booster, antivirus and similar crap I do. Just SD Maid.
I have a LG L70, Android 4.4.2 with the newest firmware from LG web. I can not find out more because Setting would stop. :-/
Do you guys have any idea how to solve the problem?
You could try an older version of the firmware.
You could also try clearing cache and dalvik cache through recovery (if possivle) or flashing custom ROMs (if available).
Thanks a lot for your replies. I don't know how to clean Dalvik cache with recovery. I tried flashing the same stock ROM again with normal flash. Other possibilities are (in this order): CSE flash with the same rom, normal flash with different stock rom, custom rom.
So after normal flashing with stock ROM everything seemed ok. I recovered some apps and setting from Google account and then I started recovering from LG backup. It ended, phone switched of and is dead. I can't switch it on, load Recovery menu neither Bootloader menu (with USB cable). So it look like a hard brick.
My notebook sees the phone as "QHSUSB_BULK" in a "non-determined device" category. I'm searching the unbrick method but I start being desperate. :-/
Hey,
today I needed to turn off my phone to swap battery. On turning it back on, my Google account wasn't there anymore, a notification said "due to changes to your account you have to sign in again". But signing it just won't do it. It doesn't fail, I come to the accepting terms and conditions, but when accepting the app just closes, the account isn't created so it seems that whatever app is responsible for that just crashes for no reason without any notification. The strange things: in the process I can see only the arrow in the bottom right, not the words "next" or "accept" (at the last page), only when I tap on them I can see them. And I had no accounts.db under /data/system/users/0. Now I have that file via TB restore. And I now see, after reflashing my ROM (by wiping /system, cache and dalvik-cache in TWRP and flashing the ROM) that I also have under /data a system_ce (with accounts_ce.db) and system_de (with accounts_de.db and accounts_de.db-journal), but I don't know if I had them before the TB restore or the ROM reflashing (having english (US) and german (germany) as system languages).
No solution form anywhere else was helpful. I froze AdAway with TB, deleted /system/etc/hosts, deleted data from PlayStore and PlayServices with multiple reboots and the mentioned reflashing, nothing seems to help.
I'm running Emotion ROM based on CM 14.1 on my Note 4 N910F with latest modem and bootloader I can find. Since I don't know how far that could be ROM or CM related, I'm posting that problem here. I have absolutely no problems logging in with my account on my desktop PC via browser, even logging in on google.com from chrome on the phone is no problem. But filling in the infomation either initiated over system settings -> accounts or by opening PlayStore, I pass everything but the account is not under the accounts section and PlayStore would just open again with the login page.
Anyone any idea how to fix it? Here is a logfile of me trying to log in.
UPDATE: Just did a TWRP restore. Did not help! Going to ask Google meanwhile since it might not be a problem with my device...at least if I can find out where to do so.
PS: just looked into my account settings, it seems to recognize that I log in to my device, but that's it. Disconnectiong the device from there and trying again also doesn't work.
Summary:
So this morning (abiout six hours ago) my beloved S2 running CM12 crashed and could not reliable boot since then, it goes into some kind of weird bootloop.
The issue in detail:
Attempting to boot (long press on power button) will bring up the "Galaxy I9100" as sually and continues with the CM12 bootloader animation. After the typical time required to boot it vibrates slightly as usual, but afterwards the screen dims for about a second and the whole process is repeated.
What I did shortly before the issue:
Google Play wanted to update apps, but I was out of internal memory. So I went to /data/data and searched and deleted all files containing "cache". I've done this about 20-40 times over the last months (I didn't keep count) and never had any issue.
Things I've tried:
It is possible to access the recovery mode, but the options in CM12's recoverey are very limited (unlike TWRP for example). I cleared the cache but it had no effect.
After taking out the battery the "optimizing apps" windows pops up. When it's done, user input (enter sim, unlock pattern, homecreen) is possible, but only for a few seconds. The first time I missed the chance, the second and thired time I immediately restarted into safe mode.
Safe mode works surprisingly well, the first time I used it to let google continue the updates and disabled autostart of Applock and Greenify, the second time I uninstalled both Apps and cleared the dalvic cache (simply by deleting data/dalvic/). Neither attemped solved the issue.
What I'm currently doing:
After booting into safe mode for the 4th time I'm starting to back up all user data. Communication with a PC works only for some time, but reconnecting solves the issue (for now).
So what's next?:
Honestly I've no idea what I'm doing. I've installed CM on 3 devices in the past 4 years, but thats all experience I have. I'm hoping that I'm just missing an important detail and can get around all these problems with a simple fix. If not, I'd try a clean install, but I'd like to avoid that.
So, if you've got ANY IDEA what the issue might be or what to try, I'm open for all suggestions! Chances are that I haven't left the safe mode since posting, so you can also request sceenshots of anything you need. Thanks!

I'll update this thread with all step that I take, so that a) you know where I am b) I remember everything and c) people with similar problems might benifit:
• The USB connection was kinda fragile, so I copied all data to the micro SD instead
• sdcard0 could be copied without problems
• phone crashed during coping of other files in root. Folder "sys" has been copied (at least partionally) before crash
• reboot normal, but always with message "Trebuchet was closed"
• seems to work fine now
• exit plane mode (I've enabled it before to charge quicker and reduce heat) and display turns black
• medium long press on power button brings up restart menu, nothing else can be done (checked: double click home button for camera, long click for recent apps)
• turn on airplane mode again and restart and its just fine again
• tried out a different sim card, same issue.
Based on all this, I'd say the issue is a third party app acting (badly) on the ppresence of a mobile connection. Weird. Will investigate the issue further tomorrow, or - more likely - flash the new lineageOS version. I'll report back when I know more.
After making a backup of ALL files I followed the pinned tutorial to install linageOS. Everything - including mobile connection - seems to work fine now! Thanks @djibe89 for such an amazing easy-to-follow tutorial

So about 4 days ago my S3, on which i installed 4.4.4 kitkat last summer, started rebooting, then the home app crashes a couple of times, i see a lot of crash popups which are either for the home app or androind system, then it reboots again, and usually after some reboots it works normally until i go into an app, then if i press the home button the home app would crash again and it would beigin rebooting(though once every app was crashing left and right). Yesterday however it didn't even make it to the home app part, it was stuck in the screen with the CM logo loading(bootloop?).
My question is if it's possible to fix it while also recovering all the data such as photos, music and app data. I have Clockworkmod recovery 6.0.4.6. So far i've tried pulling everything from adb, which either didn't work or worked but pulled folders and files i don't really need(tried pulling /storage/, all i got was an almost empty sdcard1 folder). I also tried this method [i can't post the link, google How to Recover data Using ADB recovery on Android techglen] but when i get to this line
mkdir emmc
my console gives me
~ # mkdir emmc
mkdir: can't create directory 'emmc': File exists
Try flashing twrp and mounting the data partition from twrp.
Yes, thanks, that worked and i was able to get most of the data i wanted, though not all, and did a factory reset. I also did a backup on an USB but when i tried to recover the data from there the progress bar was stuck at 0%.
My phone managed to boot normally, started downloading apps and then i got the android system crash again, along with the home app(trebutchet). So far it hasn't restarted by itself. I can still go to the app store and launch some of the apps from there. I managed to get 3 of the android system crash logs on pastebin: (again i can't post links) pastebin dot com /axBsYXfV, /6e3AiEyB /nwHxym9Y; should i make a new thread about this altogether?
Edit:Another crash log from when i tried to enter Apps from settings: tRbUX5h1
So crashes happen with stock and custom ROMs?
