Hi guys, my Redmi Note 3 PRO (internation edition) is not charging anymore! When I plug in the usb cable there are no reactions (neither the notification led is turning on). After trying different cables and chargers, I went to fix shop, they changed the USB dock, but nothing changed. He said the battery is good (he tried charging it with an external charger). So what can I do more? Motherboard?
Thanks to all! :crying:

Go to the service centre and get the charging module changed. There is a component in the charging module that burns out suddenly. It happened with me but my phone was under insurance so I just paid the transportation cost of about 250/- to OneAssist.

Charging port died on my X10, well not completly, but you need to fiddle around with the charger for 5 minute to get the right "angle" for charging.
Tried new cables and batteries, gave up and went and bought an Xperia S.
Question is though, is this issue fixable?
Regards

You have broken usb port, there is problem called "cold connection". It could be easily repaired - simply resolder all of the pins on usb port You need some basic soldering and technician experience of course
What happened before this happened :
I charged my phone with a car charger with the same USB cable which Asus provided
Now, today, i can't charge my phone while it's on and even if i turn off the phone the charging sign doesn't come which shows that the phone is charging but yes, it charges as after 10minutes of charging, When i turned on the phone it showed 10 % charged.
Also, the phone is heating very much now, it didn't before.
Any idea ? guys ! Help me ASAP !

I am facing almost the same problem.
My phone (45 days old) is charging only via Car charger and neither via A/C adapter nor via computer - USB cable.
Did you got any solution?

Took the phone to Asus service center. They said that the motherboard has gone bad, and will have to be replaced. Luckily the phone was under warranty
So, if you face this problem, only resolution is to take it to the service center.

People I found the solution. In Argentina (where I live) asus hasn't support. But I found that you can charge the battery with any charger of 500 mA(no original of 1350 neither 1000, which is the most common today).
You can charge the battery in the car too, ps3, ps4, computer or you can buy an externa battery with the output of 500 mA.
I hope that helps you
Regards!!!

can you please explain the battery issue? i am facing the same problem with zenfon6
Asus Zen 5 charging problem facing
Hi guys I am showing Asus Zen 5 how to jumper USB and quick charging this is testing hundred percent working WhatsApp 9840 653 864 Alauddin Shafi @ gmail.com
Hii.
I have a problem. I installed Madsurfer ROM. I had a problem with charging battery, l left phone for few hours and it doesn't charge full. Next i installed stock china ROM. Problem still remain. But now phone doesn't charge anymore. When i connect cable LED notification lamp shows for 1 second and turns off. As well battery indicator. I don't know what's happened :/
Edit. Now i have 18% battery and "Low battery level" on the notification bar. When i plug cable, phone doesn't charging but "Low battery level" indicator disappeared. It could be software problem or hardware? USB port works cause i can connect phone with computer and copy stuff but phone doesn't charging as well.
Edit 2. I turned off phone and plug charger, LED notification is on, on the screen battery indicator shows charging , but it's 15% and it don't going up.
It can be a software issue, however, it can be your charger, i know it'll sound ridiculous, but you should check that the usb is well connected to the wall charger ( this happened to me one time, and i thought my phone had the problem indeed it wasn't lol)
Otherwise try charging it with another charger or try installing mokee rom and checking by yourself either it is a software or hardware issue.
Try with other cable!

I can't install new rom cause phone has 15% battery now and i turned it off.
I'm telling you again. Try another cable, a friend had the same problem, with new cable everything is ok.

Try other cable and other charger, read the specification on the leeco charger and buy another or try one that you already have in the house
i tried another charger adapter from my old phone LG, the same problem. I haven't different USB-C cable :/
I'm the friend mentioned above. I had the EXACT same problem as you. It's cable related 100%
You must find a high quality cable that supports quick charging and try. Go to a shop and try before you buy.
Good luck!

+1 for the cable. after troubleshooting for a couple days and trying various adapters, it ended up being faulty usb type c cable that came with the phone.
Funny thing is that I have two cables. One came with Le Max 2 and other I bought online after very high reviews. Both charges very well. USB debugging only works with LeEco cable though. I can copy stuff from both cables but If i need to burn roms I need LeEco Cable only. USB debugging does not work with third party cable.
I just got my redmi note 3 and charged using charger which my friend had. Charger is Xiaomi mi 5 quick charge .
When I plugged in it shown charging . After 5 minutes it is not charging. Tried with Samsung charger and the charger is making noise. Also tried with charger having led light, when I plugged the device to this charger led got turn off. After removing device led turned back on. Can anyone help me on this.

A few days ago, i noticed my battery charging speed going significantly down. This applies to fast-charge as well as normal charge.
With the app "Ampere" i measured the respective ampere input currency:
~ 400mA on fast-charge
~ 250mA on normal charge
I use the original charging equipment that came with the phone.
Problem solving measures already tried to solve the problem:
- Using a different USB-C cable for charging
- Using a different charger for charging
- Charging the phone while it is turned off
- Cleaning all the charging ports of the cable and the phone with compressed air
So far none of the mentioned measures had any postive effect on my problem. Battery life when using the phone is still as normal as before the charging issue appeared tho.
If you have any helpful tips on what the problem might be and how to solve it, i would be very happy!
Same issue with mine too... Found no solution till date.. even service center returned my handset saying they can't repair it. Felt so bad .. ?
For charging now m using OnePlus dash charger... Despite of not working fast charge, it charges my poco f1 faster than stock charger from poco f1..
Try it

Is your battery life too unaffected?
A friend of mine suggested maybe changing the USB-C circuit board might help, as to maybe the USB Port is damaged.

Nothing worked.
For now.. I am using 18 watt pd charger with USB c to USB c cable.
It is now showing turbo charging and it's charging fast.
Hope it's solution for me now..
Its malfunction of temperature sensor. While mobile above 30° c its automatically slow down charging speed to lower the temperature and prevent device from damage. Somehow take down temperature below 25°c you can fast charge your device again. But you have to keep it in that state.
Same issue on poco f1 ...suddenly charging very slowly............1> checked charger 2>update latest miui...problem persist...loosses total faith on brand

Even I had the same issue. Changing the USB cable worked for me. I used the secondary cable(smaller one) which came with the box.
