HTC USonic with Comply Foam Eartips - HTC U11 Accessories

I have a pair of Audiotechnica IM-02's that are my main pair of headphones, and they came with comply foam eartips that I never use (I believe they are Isolation 500), so I decided to put them on my Usonics. They fit perfectly, and I think the fit/noise isolation is much better. Maybe something worth trying!

new 3.5mm hermes audio adapters

Have a look at these new ones:
http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/index.php/2007/01/15/2_new_htc_headphone_adapters
HERE is the first adapter, ~16€ in Italy !! (..no comment)
9.95 on expansys.com HERE
I think the Brando adapters are better than the expansys ones, they look a bit more flexible.

Please let us know what you think of it!
Guys I have just recieved mine from brando this morning. And I have to say that I am not impressed at all! Within minutes of using it the shell of the mic fell off! I was on the train and didn't even realise untill I looked down in my hands and saw the bare connection exposed. No force at all was used it simply came off. On closer inspection it looks like it wasn't stuck together properly! Not a big problem as such. But I am still not happy with the build quality!!

Hmm interesting.
1.How long is the lead from the usb connector to the mic?
2.Have you had any feed back as to the voice quality of the mic?
3.Finally what 3.5mm headphones are using with it? (though any headphones I suspect would be an improvement over the supplied ones!! )
Sorry mate don't have a ruler at work to measure it at the moment. But at a guess i'd say probably about 45 - 50cm. But again I could be wrong as that was just an estimate! I'll check when I get home.
Haven't tested the mic on a call yet! Again will post back when I do.
I am using the Creative Labs EP-630 in ear earphones. Got to say the sound is excellent. Much better than the original ones you get with the phone. I hate using the originals they don't fit properly and they sound crap as well!
The only thing that was good about the original earphones was that the wire from the USB adaptor to the mic is quite thick. The wire on the Brando is thin, that was the first thing I noticed when I opened up the pack. It looks more delicate. And I found it impossible to attach the clip that they supply to the wire, the gap is too small and even the slightest attempt to clip it in causes marks on the wire and it feels like it will damage it.
Triple adapter
Does anyone have the first adapter with the 3 different sockets? I was just wondering if you use the 3.5mm headphone jack does the mic on the handset still work? If it does it'll be great for using in my car.
Thanks

It does NOT. The microphone is dead when the 3.5 jack is plugged in...
that just simply SUCKS!

I concur. I have the Brando product. I don't know why they even included the clip; it's impossible to attach to the wire. I tried, and the wire now has two glaring gashes in it that I've had to cover with electrical tape.
That being said, i use a set of Sony earbud earphones with it, and the sound quality is infinitely better than the original headset.
just received mine a few day ago. its just a 'not bad' thing. i'm using it with sony ericsson headset. the sounds is good enough to make me deaf.

How do you store your headphones

Compared with my Universal, the headphone cord is thicker and more rubbery, but so far I've found the little plastic bag that the universal headphones came in to be the best place to put the tp2 headphones.
What solutions have other people found?
(posted from train on tp2)
i stick them in my pocket. if you need further details let me know.
Ok, so what's your plan when it's summer there?
Belt pouch or bum bag.
Belt pouch for when at work, bum bag for when I'm not. To quote the meerkat.com advert, "Simples"

I keep my crappy headphones in the box it came.....who needs it.... get a bluetooth head set...much better....and no crappy stupid wires....so 80's please.
I found a great solution to keeping my headphones; since the headphones that came with the TP2 are ...crap - uncomfortable in the ear, annoying cable, irritating PTT button - I've sent the 'new' headphones off with my old TyTN II and kept my original TyTN II headphones instead.
...Simples!

I'm confused. Do you not have pockets in the summertime over in Germany?
I have to agree with the bluetooth headphones idea. A cord is annoying and my bluetooth headphones just hang around my neck.

Revolutionary: are you using breast pocket in a shirt or jacket or at your hip in jeans or trousers? I've found trouser pockets to be better since they tend to be looser - what about you?

No seriously, the headphones are so thick and rubbery, I just can't imagine putting them in anything but a big coat pocket. And then only if I didn't use that pocket for anything else.

Sports Armband, is there any?

Hi
Does anyone know if there is a sports armband for the wrist/arm that fits the TD2?
I have searched and searched, but haven't had any luck yet...
If anyone knows of one, I would be a happy camper.
Thanks in advance.
I've been looking too and fear gaffer tape might be the only solution...
Ok, maybe a bit extreme for your needs (I assume)

Hi
I use a belkin iPhone one.
Works with my TD2 and my wife's Touch 3g.

Maybe something like this.

Why?
Why risk a £400 phone by strapping it to your arm when you can slip it in a pocket or secure belt case?
If you want mobile audio while out jogging or something, why not a small pouch with your phone safely stored in and a set of A2DP headphones? No wires at all, then.
If it's some obscure use, then I've no idea... I can't see their being much of a market for an arm-based mobile phone holder... Kind of makes it difficult to answer unless you plan on walking around doing an elephant impression!
EDIT: Or get an iPod Nano
VIVANCO armband for Iphone
I purchased this one from VIVANCO which is sold as an Sport Armband for Iphones. This was the best I could find for a reasonable price (12 Euros) and is very comfortable.

Erm perhaps because you want to do some exercise and you don't have suitable pockets? Nothing worse than having a phone bouncing around all over the place.
I use the band which came with my Motorola S9s. The phone fits in perfectly though it's very tight with the plastic case on.
You can make your own with a random armband and a diamond 2 silicon case.
I just got for myself this from Nike. Fits the TD2 perfectly.
http://store.nike.com/index.jsp?country=US&lang_locale=en_US&cp=usns_CSE_081109_Froogle&l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-1/pid-263183/pgid-286858&CAWELAID=377805278#l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-1/pid-263183/pgid-286858
for sure the sportsband that comes with the motorola S9 is most excellent fit for TD2.
Maybe with some luck it is possible to buy just the armband with ebay!

[Q] Jogging Armband that fit HTC EVO 3D?

So twice now I've brought armband, once off Ebay and once off Cellphoneshop.net and neither of them fit. ebay one won't fit at all, the cellphoneshop.net one barely barely fit with no case on, but the cover don't really close properly and the headphone jack hole is on the wrong side!
Anyone know a good jogging armband with clear face cover that will fit the EVO 3D? preferably with a TPU case on.
Is so frustrating when seller advertise something as for our phone and its actually some generic crap!
I'll throw this out there in case it ends up working out for your. I used to try finding clear cases and arm bands but they never really worked very well and I ended up prefering the phone near my waist and running my headphones inside the back of my shirt.
It works great for my uses. I love it for jogging/working out/shooting around (basketball).
SPIbelt sells jogging belts, bands, etc.
http://www.spibelt.com/spibelt.php
http://store.spibelt.com/Waterresistantspibelt-p/7bl-a001-001-waterres.htm
It does not have a clear face. It's just a slim water resistant pouch/belt that you can order to fit your phone. I just specfied "pouch for HTC EVO" when I ordered mine.
Again it does not have a clear face and I wouldn't even say it's "easily accessible". But for holding your phone securely while being very active (I use it for jogging, lifting and shoot arounds) it is very secure. I strap it around my waist and you forget it's there.
Just thought I would throw it out.

I went through the same PITA.
Finally found this one which fits beautifully... the little holes for the headphones can be a awkward depending on your plug style/size, but other than that it is the best I've found:

I'm coming to the conclusion i need to buy the expensive armband also, but I was worry they are just more expensive version of the cheap stuff too.
Can you please let me know if the iarmbands one would work with a TPU case on? if it can then it would be perfect. as far as the headphone holes goes i'm not TOO concern, my headphones have very slim jack, and worse come to worse i can always enlarge the hole a little, as long as its in the right general location

Arkon's XL-Armband fits the Sensation. I have one with the Incipio NGP case and it fits with the case on.
We designed the armband to fit most phones with screen sizes from 3.7" - 4.3". I've tested it with the Sensation as seen above, Thunderbolt (with TPU case), Droid 3, Droid X 2 and a couple others and they fit.

Pics with the EVO 3D:
It fits a naked EVO 3D nicely, I'd say it would probably fit with a TPU case.
Got my case from iArmband today and I'mot impressed at all. The holes don't line up at all for the headphone jack, it's more of a generic size then specifically for the 3D and the arm strap is way too short.
Edit... So I received an email from iArmbands about my issues with this item. They apologized for the inconvenience and issued a full refund. They also told me to go ahead and keep the product as well...pretty outstanding customer service if you ask me.

3.5 mmHeadphone jack too large to fit....

I tried to place a headphone into the 3.5 mm headphone jack and it was loose and didn't register. It works fine for my Note 3 which also is 3.5 mm. A warranty replacement is on the way. Definitely check to see whether yours is fine or not.
My jack is definitely looser than the one on my Nexus 6, but they work fine. My headphones are a few years old and I plug and unplug about 5-10x each day, so I think they might be starting to wear down a little bit. Until it won't work or hold a plug, I won't worry about it too much on my particular unit.
yep mine is loose as well
It plugs in all right but moving the cable even slightly results in the headphones coming off.
Mine is an incredibly tight fit with my headphones. They're just cheapo generic skullcandy or something.
There's no wiggle, and I have to hold the phone and pull on the jack - otherwise I can even pick the phone up by holding the cord. I think it's tighter than my N6 anyway, but the N6 probably got a bit worn by now.

So everyone seems to have functional jacks except me.......Hopefully the replacement will be fine (odds are). I tried 2 different head phones both of which worked fine and fit tightly with my Note 3 but were loose and non-functional in my 6P.
Snug and functioning well.
Yup mine fits snug as well with all my headphones. Seems like you might have just gotten a defective model.
Super weird. I thought the headphone jack on my black 64 was actually real snug. Had to apply a little pressure to make sure it was fully in.
Just tested a ton of 3.5mm plugs I have, everything fit snug.

The ones I have are Sony.....not sure about my friend's headphones. Both were loose in my 6P and tight (appropriately tight) in my Note 3 and in his Note 3. My replacement 6P arrived this morning..... after I left, so hopefully all will be well when I check it this evening.

Finally got home and the headphones actually work with the replacement 6P. The headphone fits snugly with a nice click into place that my first 6P failed to do.
Mine is functional but not super tight, its not loose either. There almost no force required to remove my headphones (Bkse QC20's 2015 model) but my wife's 6P has a death grip on my headphones. Its odd but it doesn't bother me at all
I don't get that clicking noise when inserting the jack. The headphones will fall out with very little effort.

I JUST noticed this the other day. I have a pair of bluetooth buds that I have been using since I got the phone but just got a new pair of wired ones and wanted to try them out and the jack is slightly too large. Glad to hear your replacement was good, though. I hate having to reset up the phone and I'm concerned about getting a refurb replacement, of course, but I think I may have to do a replacement after the holidays.
