only bugs are FM Radio and 2nd sim in call audio. in my case everything works fine as i have single sim model
How is this rom's performance, battery life and stability compared to marshmallow roms like CM13 or Resurrection Remix and would you recommend it for daily use?

Only with Modified kernel by @Valentyn474
Hello guys! I'm currently on LineageOS 13, do I need flash 14.1 directly? Or should I wipe system, data, cache & dalvik too?
^ Wipe all except storage.
After a couple of hours of using this rom almost everything went fine, it's preety fast, substratum works, but it's not the most stable. I experience random app crashes sometimes for no apparent reason which is annoying but other than that not a bad rom. I need to test battery life and daily usage in the following days.
Another issue I'm having is with the kernel from this rom, if I tweak the interactive governor settings to be more power efficient it's all good... for a couple of minutes then it reverts back to default settings for some reason. At least I can use lionfish which is a good governor.
Of course this rom also has the common low in call volume problem. Not a big issue because it's easily fixable by replacing the mixer_paths file.

Can you say where to get this file and where to place it?
Can someone please post their thoughts of this ROM running on a J510FN? I'm running Slim6 right now, and it's running very well, but I'd rather have a Nougat ROM.
To fix low in call audio use put this mixer_paths.xml file in system/etc and set permissions to rw-r-r.
Does anyone know how to use google assistant with this rom?

Thank you so much for the hard work and answering my previous questions. I'll definitely be flashing this and reporting back tomorrow. Question: if I'm on the latest cm12 build currently, can i just flash the new TWRP through Odin over the CWM recovery for the Sport? Or is it required to flash back to the stock firmware?

OK. Thank you very much for the quick replies. I'll flash tomorrow when I get back from school.
Been working great all day. Haven't hit any bugs and doze is really helping battery life! Thanks again @1991mustang50 for this and TWRP. Will say that TWRP is slow to take a stock backup (not as slow as the CWM we had prior), but it may be because TouchWiz is so heavy. Either way, thanks again. I know the guys that still use this phone daily really appreciate it and so do us that just use it as a toy now!

I sold it for $100 to a cousin. It was in a rough condition around the edges and had call quality issues
Having issues getting data or cell service - I can see sprint under network operators, but haven't been able to get the phone connected. Is anyone else having the same issue and/or found a workaround?
I've flashed TWRP and the ROM and I have to say that so far there have been very few issues. TWRP makes backups very quickly compared to the previous CWM. The ROM has calls, data, SMS, and MMS working perfectly. One minor issue is that if you go into settings and click on carrier settings it will not recognize the SIM card and it will continuously crash the phone application until you reboot. It's a minor issue with an easy fix so dont worry too much about it. I tested Bluetooth which isn't in very good shape. Listening to music from my phone on a wireless headset was constantly cutting out. However I understand it's a beta build and Bluetooth shouldn't be a very big problem for me as I can just use the headphone jack. This next problem I don't think is specifically tied to the ROM however I would like if anyone can give me any ideas for. Basically write access on the external SD is not working as usual but all of the previous fixes you could use aren't working anymore. Any ideas or fix for marshmallow? Overall, the ROM is in great condition for such a new release. Doze works beautifully and battery life is even better than the previous CM12.1 build. I'll be using the ROM more to see if I can tell you about any other issues I may encounter. Thanks so much for the great ROM and TWRP. I'll be looking forward to future builds.

I was using your vendor. With latest IMS commit. (595928f44e662cdd10234deec8dbfcb640e39052)
Yeah, Obviously you are correct. I just have no-way to know about telephony issue, so I wanted to retrieve all data from user if possible
Sometimes in my country(Republic of Korea) missing APN causes issue about connecting network(LTE though) OR MMS server.
Do you have that issue with your builds as well?
Had a build with camera working, ril okay, SMS and call flawless,no freeze, not reboot , LTE working fine. But I deleted it , waiting for an official stable version, and... Also it was just a test, I don't wanna upset the dev who built that, sorry?.
But anyways the commits where from Camcory.
Quite surprised you have these amount of bugs.
I just had pixel setup crashing and camera not working on WhatsApp (and when not working on WhatsApp, all the other apps won't use camera.)
Video playback just never worked. But sound work fine.
The ROM was personally very nice. I provided a list of bugs to the dev concerned, hope he's not upset , I just want help.
My advice is, you might try comparing with Camcory's commit or build from he's, if he allows.
Then test.
I wish you good luck. I'm just here to test?.

I just need to know, will it work on my force encrypted phone?
Or I need to unencrypt it?

Hi,
Can you please help me with the download from the GSI? Where can I get the right file from?
after install, bluetooth and settings tell me that it stops all the time and sim cant be detected. Also there is some encryption so i can't access data or system anymore with twrp... even magisk can't be installed. great...
After running into a ton of errors, I think I've done something wrong. I have a few questions:
1. Where does Disable ForcedEncryption (DFE) go to in the installation process? If I flash the zip before Lineage (or not flasing at all), the phone encrypts itself right on boot. If I flash DFE zip after Lineage, the camera (and all the sensors) die permanently.
2. Regardless of the phone's encryption status, sometimes the phone just fails to recognize all the sensors (except Wifi, battery and GPS). That means no accelerometer, no screen rotation, no compass or light sensor. Rebooting fixes this on Lineage (for a while), but on RR once it occurs all sensors die permanently. Also GPS reception is terrible, as I haven't got a single fix.
Hope anyone who has been using Treble roms could give me an answer. Thanks in advance.

I only run into these problems on Treble roms. No problem with sensors or encryption with native ones, such as AOSP or Paranoid.

"Invalid zip file format!"
can someone please help me out?

New version of LOS 16 + Treble
This version of LOS is outdated and does not work on latest Treble.
An updated LOS build (with Expanded volume and latest security patch) can be downloaded on this thread and installed over latest Treble.
Since this phone requires arm64 A-only GSIs to boot, the compatible version should be lineage-16.0-2019xxxx-UNOFFICIAL-treble_arm64_avN.img.xz.
Installation tutorial: Click here. Keep in mind that system.img refers to the LOS build above.

Thanks man the ROM is great! But is it possible to make the camera work like it did on the original Xperia X stock ROM. I mean the camera is pretty dark on all custom ROMs is there any fix for that?

You can use Chippa_a's Unofficial LOS16 instead. That one has some heating issues and gaming performance might not be optimal (due to CPU throttling), but camera and battery life is almost identical to stock. In fact, I only use Treble LOS as daily driver because I play games on my phone quite a lot.
If you still insist on using Treble however, you can check out Google Camera ports (scroll down a little bit on Treble page). With HDR+ or Night Mode the picture quality is stellar, but taking pictures might be a bit slow. As far as I know it only runs on Treble and Omni.

Yeah I am using the gcam port and I get pretty good pictures with it but not very good video quality so I guess I'm gonna give it a try to Chippa_a's Unofficial LOS16.
What's working:
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Mobile Network (Calling, Data, etc.)
Audio (Stereo Speakers)
GPS
NFC
Camera
Fingerprint Sensor
S-Pen Basics
HDMI
MTP
Call Recording
HWC
Signal Strength
Encryption
What's not working:
Iris sensor does not work because AOSP upstream does not support that yet.
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS.
Bugs:
S-Pen/Mouse will cause small graphical glitches during button animations sometimes.
Instructions:
Make sure TWRP has been installed and is functional
Download the latest build and CSF9 vendor.img (optionally gapps and magisk if needed)
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data and cache (required if you switch from other ROMs)
Flash the vendor image
Flash the latest build (then gapps and magisk if needed)
Reboot
How to update builds?
Do not wipe anything unless stated in the changelog
Flash only the rom.zip and it will automatically reinstall your gapps, magisk etc
use /system/addon.d if you would like to keep system mods after an update

The N960F and N variants are pretty much the same if I'm not mistaken, so should work fine. If you can, try it and report back!
It's not possible for a Samsung camera app port for this rom right?
what about actual sources for building rom?
The rom is very stable! Thx alot!
Btw is there gesture navigation on LineageOS?
Yours is a great job. Everything really works on S9.
Pixel launcher is crashing for me.
Anyone has this issue?
The battery is not good about 5 hours on screen with full wifi. not as good as los 15.1
Great job! Can I update from your 15.1 LOS, or should make full wipe?
This Rom is Amazing

Everyone does. Seems to be an issue with the Pixel Launcher its self. You can use Lawnchair if you want an equivalent.

I downloaded a random launcher from the store but Ill try Lawnchair.
I also noticed that the camera stopped working.
When i first installed the rom it was working, and after a while it kept force closing.
I cant manage to get it to work anymore.

Try a different dialer from the playstore or a substratum theme.
