Hello,
My father has an honor 7 phone and its build in app memory clean is often launched automatically to propose him to clean some datas (cache file, services Google Play, some photos on gallery app..).
Is it possible to deactivate this build in app?
Thanks.
you can disable it in settings/apps

Hy,
I can buy apps from Android Market on a PC and push it to my phone but I cannot directly pay on my SGS2.
I have already try several times and try to clear datas of Market app.
History :
I use a google app account (ie a google account but not finishing by gmail.com)
First setting with an operator stock ROM
Then flash to XXKG1 and set the phone with my email
Connect my google app account on checkout
Now I cannot buy on my phone but I can on PC and that can cause problem when I try to purchase some tegra games.
Warning it may be due to the fact that I use a google app.
Do anyone knows a workaround solution to transfer app from a google account to another? To add false devises on the web android market?
Thanks for help.and warning to user of google app acvounts.
After moving from XXKG1 to WWKH3 with full wipe, market is OK
After going on on restauring my datas, Android market still does not allow me to buy apps.
I have made a factory reset and installed step by step. The problem was on restaurong the accouts with Titanium backup. It seems it generate some problems with Android market at least for me!
Upon first use of my new Viewpad 7, I set up my Gmail account on the Email app. Then, later I got the Gmail (version 2.3) app from Market and installed it. I now am getting double (simultaneous) notifications. Ugh. I've tried to uninstall the Gmail app that I downloaded and installed, but cannot do so. In Applications / Manage Applications / All / Gmail, I can Force Stop or Clear data or Clear cache, but the Uninstall button~bar is greyed out. There are no additional menu options at this screen.
If I try to delete my Gmail account in the Email app, it warns me that this can only be done with a factory reset. Since that would eliminate the dozen or so apps I found and downloaded from Market, I don't want to do that. Why can't I uninstall the Gmail app?
Ok I have read that Gmail is not a very stable app, and people often complain it crashes, but there's a limit!
I had it installed by default, then removed it after root, then decided to install it again as I needed to check my mail more often.
Every time, every damn time I do ANYTHING, Gmail crashes. You probably know the usual message "com.google.android.gm stopped unexpectedly", I get it when I boot the phone, when I enable data, when I disable data, when I open the browser, when I close the browser, when I enable google account sync, when I disable it, and of course when I try and open Gmail. The fact is, the process crashes even when I don't use Gmail (I checked and it's not in the 'being used' processes list, but when I open the browser or enable data it crashes from nowhere).
I have already tried wiping cache and data, uninstalling updates (but for some reason it uninstalls the whole app), and uninstalling/reinstalling it several times, but I only managed to make it work ONCE (then after that unique mail sent, crashes again). Is there a way to stop this madness?
I have an Xperia Mini st15i with rooted 2.3.4 and stock stuff, if it can help.
Did you take a backup of the stock Gmail app before you removed it? Did you install that one and then updated or did you install directly from the market?
In addition, have you tried clearing the data of Google Services Framework? I read somewhere that clearing its data can help resolve issues in Google apps.
I don't have a backup of the stock one, I reinstalled directly from market =(. I'll try clearing that data then =)
Don't worry if you don't have the stock Gmail.apk. If clearing the services framework doesn't work, search Google for the stock Gmail.apk of your android version, install it, then convert it to system app and link it to the market using titanium backup and then update it. If you can't find it, contact me. Post how it goes.

Hi,
I just got a new Nexus 9 and of course I want to root it to get Titanium Backup, V4A, etc.
Unfortunatly I installed everything first, before I read that rooting requires unlocking the bootloader and hence wiping all the data.
Is there a way to root the Nexus without wiping the data?
If not, does anyone know a backup sw, which also backs up all app settings? (in this case non root of course)
My last question is about OTA (does it work on a root (stock rom) device? OTA is not required, but nice to have.
Thanks upfront.
Thomas
AFAIK you will have to unlock the bootloader
If you backup to your Google account then a restore includes (Note the last para. re app settings):
"Google Calendar settings
Wi-Fi networks & passwords
Home screen wallpapers
Gmail settings
Apps installed through Google Play (backed up on the Play Store app)
Display settings (Brightness & Sleep)
Language & Input settings
Date & Time
Third-party app settings & data (varies by app)
Automatically restore app settings
You can choose to restore app settings when you reinstall an app on your device. This feature requires that you have already backed up your data with your Google account and that the app also uses the backup service. Some apps may not back up and restore all data."

Thanks, unfortunatly half of my apps wont backup their settings and these are the most work intensive (dreambox apps, etc). Any other solution or do I need to go the hard way?

Cheers, will look into it
hi all,
I have a very strange problem with my S4 mini, and I'm out of ideas after hours of google, xda and troubleshooting. First of all, I'm travelling, therefore a factory reset is not an option at the moment.
I'm on the latest nightly of CM12.1 with gapps installed.
Everything was working fine until yesterday. Here's what happened:
I always used the CM12.1 stock email app. So my girlfriend wanted to check her gmail, therefore (to keep my mail app clean) I installed the official gmail app. After installation I signed in with her gmail address and password. After that the gmail app crashed. I then noticed that my contact list on the phone all of a sudden included her google contacts as well (she had an android device with a google account some time ago, so her former contacts are still synced with her account).
I removed the gmail app again, and now it seems my google account on the phone is broken. I can't use any google services anymore:
- PlayStore just opens a white screen for half a second, then closes without error
- Maps, Fit, Youtube, etc. all say I have to install google playstore to function, but playstore is installed already ("this app won't run without google play services, which are missing from your phone")
- When I go to Settings>Accounts there is no google account and no option to add a google account
What I tried:
- I cleared app data/cache for googleservicesframework and playstore
- I did dalvic/cache wipe
- I re-installed the gmail app which caused all the trouble, but can't sign in with google account anymore in the app (neither with mine nor hers)
- I updated to a newer nightly
- I flashed gapps again
- I used a gapps removal script from xda
I'm completely lost. nothing seems to work.
Thank you in advance for your help
