Hi guys
I m not a professional dev but as devs wait to code and bake a ROM until some OEM will release a Source code for a device which has a same specs as our device got.
So Google Nexus 6P have same motherboard as our OPT .
And Oreo is available for nexus 6P.
So devs can't we built a ROM using nexus code for our device?

Halogen is working on Oreo from what I read in their thread.

It's not as simple as that. There is specific device drivers and specific drivers that have to be adapted to work with Oreo and the oneplus 2 hardware

Well I'm working on Building it from the lineage source code. They currently updated most of their github with a lineage 15 branch and it seems to have everything needed to build a ROM. I maybe wrong but I guess I'll find out when it finishes downloading and I build it.

So it turns out they haven't really synced everything up that is needed to actually build the source code. We will have to wait. I'll continue to make an effort at building it but there are no guarantees.
