I just picked up a G5 off Amazon and have noticed color distortions. From the middle to the top the color gradually becomes lighter and next to the top is a line that is either washed out to a paler hue in the case of a colored image or a darker grey line in the case of a white image. Is this normal for the G5 or a defect? If I request a replacement can I expect another one to have similar problems?
The issue is somewhat worse than can be seen in this photo.

What you say about the gray tone of the screen at the top, it happens on my phone, and I have seen it in the other 3 G5s I tried. I have no problem with it really.

I dropped my phone on the tile floor directly on it's face, and the screen has gone black aside from a vertical white line. The Digitizer has no cracks at all, but it appears that there is a crack on the lcd. The phone still works (I can receive calls), and I can see the display on my computer with mymobiler. So, it appears that it is working just fine.
I plan on replacing the lcd & Digitizer, but first I wanted to make sure that this is the problem. Can you tell from these pictures?

This one is really blurry, but this looks to me like it is an actual crack in the lcd
Thanks! Wendy
my newly bought s2 have a screen problem.
the bottom left corner has a light color then the rest of the screen. the affected area is like a folded corner of a piece of paper.
anyone with similar situations?
photo included, the bottom left triangle portion. its not the reflection, and the difference in colour is only visible in darker colours (eg grey but cant be seen on black)
should i send to the service centre? TIA

anyone knows?
your pic shows only half the phone.
thats the whole screen already, the affected part is the bottom left corner
So my Prime has a white dot near the middle of the screen that can only be seen on light screens. I also have found a "dark" spec near it that looks like something is on the screen, but it isn't.

Hopefuly people can see these images. It's not very obvious from the photo, but is much more obvious when using it. BTW the pictures were taken after the glass was cleaned and using the "dead pixel fix" app and the "ring" you can see is the reflection of my G-Nex.
What do you guys think? I already have the serial number problem and no GPS what so ever so I should be sending it in, but I just wanted some opinions.
thats the exact problem i had the geek squad at asus said its broken pixles and they exchanged it for me

It looks like the LCD contacts with front glass in this point. Everyone knows what it looks when we touch the LCD TV, this I think it's the same thing because when i touch screen near this point it gets bigger
Nope, mine's not like that. I would probably contact Sony and get the display swapped, unless you feel like you can live with it.
Yes
I noticed some burn in on the corner last night and its quite big.
its on the corner and I don't know how to fix it.
Also i am running CM 11 so I can invert the colours if that can help.

That isn't screen burn in, where icons or text displayed for many hundreds of hours appear as faint ghosting.
You have a hardware fault, replace the screen assembly or buy a new phone.
Your phone should probably have bumped somewhere with/ without your concern. So that's mostly a hardware issue as said above.
