Will restoring stock recovery and ROM restore warranty?
Your bootloader is unlocked, so probably not. Probably even restoring back to stock and relocking bootloader won't help
If you're worrying about sending to service center, just relock the bootloader and FRP. They won't say anything about warranty

Mine is 19 months old fallen once so small dent that too even not noticeable unless you really know. No scratch, no problem. Have seen it all on it from LP to Nougat
Was getting $100(50% of what i paid) and many offered exchange with RN4, and few galaxy models.

I plan on purchasing a mi5 device once it becomes available. My question is where is a legit place to buy it online? There are plenty of fakes out there and I don't wanna be bamboozled into buying a fake. Was browsing through the xiaomi.com site and they didn't even have the mi4 device but had everything else so I'm doubting it will have the mi5 once it drops. Any suggestions will be appreciated thanks.

As the title says, I was wondering if Oneplus will release all the source and if the bootloader will be able to be unlocked like the One? Or will this one be locked down?
Sent from my Moto G XT1034 using Tapatalk
1. About sources, they still haven't released full sources for the O+2 yet, but Carl Pei seems to be looking into it.
2. All Android devices must ship with a locked bootloader to pass Google's security certification. But, unlike most bootloaders on devices sold by Verizon and AT&T, it will be unlockable.
I expect it to be developer friendly.
If this phone uses fastboot again then unlocking the bootloader should be fairly easy.
Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk
Yep it will be easily modified.
I own a OnePlus x (bought in Paris yesterday).
If you enable developer options on OnePlusX, there is a toggle OEM unlocking with the following caption: allow the bootloader to be unlocked.

As far as I know, OnePlus brought 600 units to a shop in France to sell before the EU release date.

Yes it was for sale in one shop for 3 days (200 units per day) from 2nd to 4th of November. Was a 5 minutes process !
I will post a feedback after the week-end. So far good impressions.
I won't attempt any modification until there is a proven process to change recovery and install root.

Cant really comment on that until I receive my OPX, but it sounds to me like those people haven't formatted their sd correctly.
Worst scenario is that the new update is breaking the micro SD functionality. Which will be annoying.

Some of them says it worked with SD formatted in NTFS but no custom recovery is supporting NTFS.
Let's hope ONE PLUS is reading about it also. And release an update to fix

Why after so many months, there are still no custom roms being made for this phone? Is it because of the second screen or because no one cares enough to do one?
Because of the locked bootloader

I figured being similar to the g4 we wouldn't have issues getting a rom from a dev. I read a post from someone saying they were able to get a g4 rom to flash on the v10.

My thoughts exactly
The lack of development for this phone is the main reason I wish I didn't get this phone.
It's interesting that there isn't much development on this phone considering its one that seems to appeal to power users with Microsd support, battery removal and the secondary screen.
Well, I would think someone would have to figure out root first since the tmobile version is the only one with root so far.
People seem to be trying but it's slow going!
