DPI Android TV Box (KIII) (google play services) - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Need ur Help.
Im running my KIII TV box on 1920x1080 resolution and it came with gms version 7.0.99 (1809214-438) but DPI of the screen is 240 (checked with ScreenInfo_v1.0.7).
Would i need to install gms_11.5.09-234, gms_11.5.09-238 or 11.5.09-230 ?
If i got it right 234 stands for 240, 238 for 480 and 230 for 0(universal)dpi...
Would a higher DPI than 240 be usefull for the resolution of some apps ?
Would be great if you could help me with this.
Thanks.

if it not work perfictly search lucky patcher and use the option :
Toolbox --> Install a modified Google Play Store --> Use a Authentic Google Playstore Version --> Have Fun.
With this tool i have repair my Playstore Version many times.
There is a Lucky Patcher Version wat is only for this option :
Modded Google Play store v7.8.74.P

Thanks, i never had problems with the playstore just with some apps with the navigation bar enabled (they are displayed wrong size and look very bad in resolution), used xposed with "App settings" module to fix this.
My question is would be a higher dpi gms version better for my device or even no dpi version ?
And should i use the version google automaticly download to my device or the newest (no beta!) ?
As i said it came with 7.0.99.
Auto downloaded version was 11.3.02_234.
And newest ive found is 11.5.09_(234-164803921)armeabi-v7a.
What would u recommend ?

Please Advise regarding the Chinese version of my device

Hi
I purchased Honor 7 (PLK-AL10) 64GB from Aliexpress.com but aftere received it, I found that the rom is Chinese version and I faced problem to create google accounts as other regular devices.
How can I change the Chinese rom to international version? is it available or not yet?
please advise
my regards
Not advisable to change, because it also changes the firmware for important things like GSM&LTE.
But the fix is fairly easy: go into the Huawei app store k(NOT! the google playstore) and download the the google playstore, and google contac synch. (just search for "google" and based on the icons download what you need)
Once the google playstore and contact synch work, you can forget the Huawei store.
Alternatively you can search here in XDA for "gapps" as an installable apk. Careful though, there are many fakes & infected o es out there, so stick to xda!
Free advice: when buying in china always request that they install google apps.
Thank you for your reply.
I did as you advised that to go to Chinese market and download the google play but please note that it will work temporary maybe one day or less.
My regards
I installed Gapps (Play store, contacts) from Huawei store on my Honor and it works successfully, without any problem. (but Play Store self-updated to newest version).
GMaps also works.

how to upgrade the webview on my 5.1 phone?

Hi,
I am developing a hybrid app and would like some of the features of the newer version of webview. I check on the phone (Settings/Apps/All -> Android System WebView) and the stock version is version 39. I also note that the 'FORCE STOP' and 'DISABLE' buttons are inactive.
I installed the new version manually from the Google Play Store, and that is version 58.
If I list the packages using adb, I see that the old webview is com.android.webview while the newer one is com.google.android.webview.
So, now I have both versions installed, but I see from WebSettings.getUserAgentString() that my app is still using version 39.
Is there a way I can get my app to use the new webview?
Regards,
Max.
BTW, phone is vkworld f1 and not rooted.

Thanks to xda members @Jovic77:victory: and @Nikhilkumar038:victory: who found the solution on this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-assistant-launcher-google-t3614804
Here is what I did
1. Downgraded my Google app to version 7.1.28.16. ( I had version 7.20.16.21 Beta which gives me an error device not supported, any version above 7.3.xx will give you that error)
To achieve this I had to uninstall Google App (Uninstall updates to the factory version). Install Google App 7.1.28.16.
2. Clear Google App data
3. Clear Play services data
4. Restart Phone ( I think this is important)
5. Open Google Assistant launcher and follow similar steps as described on the post (Adding reminder and the rest)
This worked for me on:
Infinix Hot x510 (Hot 2)
1GB RAM
AndroidOne 6.0 Marshmallow
No root
Google App 7.1.28.16.
Play services 11.9.75 Beta
Google Assistant Launcher 1.0.4

Installing youtube on an old Samsung phone

I have Acer A500 with Android 4.0.3
I'm trying to install apk Youtube 11.01.70
Youtube won't run without Google Pay services
Google Play services is not present
I try to install apk Google Play services 14.3.69. When I try to install it, it tells me there is a problem parsing the package
Any more ideas?
Because you're using an outdated version of Android.
So it's not possible at all? I thought for an old version of Android I just had to find the right old version of the apps (apk) and installed them.

Even if you did that, it'll ask you to update your apps.
And you can't manually just add all the apps you need? (like Google Play Services in my case)
I find it surprising that this old Android cannot go back to the state it was 10 years ago, if I can get the same software (apk)
In general, the problem parsing the package means that your system software is too old to install that apk file.
Can't you upgrade your Acer A500 system software via OTA at first?
On the other hand, does your mobile phone system really have no built-in Google service framework?

Thanks for the idea. I have never done something like that. Where can I find a OTA image for A500? If you have any instructions for installation it would be also appreciated
Thanks for all the answers. To clarify:
I had Google Services Framework 4.0.4-278776
I just installed Google Play Services 8.1.04 (2215451-036) (036) (successfully, as per indications in this post)
I had install Youtube 11.01.70
When I try to run Youtube tells me that there is a newer version and doesn't go further.
This tablet won't run anything past android 4.0.3, at least without some hacks. With hacks this will run with android 5.1, thus allowing the installation of YouTube.
