Got permission to unlock bootloader on 13th July 2017.... Now on 25aug 2017 I m trying to unlock my bootloader it shows device is not bound and stop in 99%..... Help me out plzzzz...
Turn On OEM Unlock , USB Debugging , Auto Install via USB , USB Debugging Security , then Clear MI home Launcher app & Downloads from installed apps then go to Setting - mi account & sign out & turn off security in accessibility & permission manager from security app then disable pattern lock & delete fingerprints now swith off your device & switch it off after 5 mins then sign in with mi id & then go to developer option - mi unlock status - add account with device & you will get message ( account successfully associated with device or binded with decive then again clear mi home launcher n downloads in installed app switch off go to fastboot mode n connect with pc to mi flash tool n now you wont get " current account not binded with device error" Try & let me know there is one more advance trick but risky.. hope it will help in unlocking your bootloader..

Why do you say, "and try 3 days later"? Am I to understand that MIUI won't unlock until a min of 72 hours AFTER they approve?
Thanks.

I had the same issue as OP. Solved when I flashed a week after I got the permission.
Idk, maybe they take time to update their servers even after they're given out the permissions.
For me, my Redmi note3 reaches 99% and fails.
I have latest unlocking tool, USB drivers installed, Device binded, permission granted on MI site on Monday, but as of Wednesday I am still unable to do anything.
Suggestions from Aniket Salunkhe and Qoejohn implemented but situation does not change.
I have though not removed fingerprints and cannot remove device unlock code, since company apps are installed on it.
Appreciate any suggestions folks!
If I am correct the mi unlock says current account can't unlock this device at 99℅ ,I was facing this too but it is xiaomi server bug check miui forum you cannot do anything the xiaomi devs are not going to fix it

1)Notes[Things to know]
a) Mi Flash Unlock tool is not fake
b)Unlocking bootloader does not void ur warrenty
c)after unlocking u'll not lose any data
d)No need to go for any developer/china roms
e)if i miss anything i'll update it later
f)if u think that this post does not belong in this section then i'm sorry.. i want every one to find it easily So i posted in here
2)Unlocking ways
u guys has seen many ways for unlocking in our forums
But i'm sorry to say none of them worked for me..If u Succeed in those then u r lucky ..Otherwise go for this...
I'm also the one like u facing this problems like
i)Account verify failed...
ii)Current account is different from Device info on this device...
iii)e.t.c
the unlocking ways i found in our miui is
http://en.miui.com/thread-336034-1-1.html
http://en.miui.com/thread-223915-1-1.html
e.t.c
Some of them had unlocking by above ways..They also works..But!!!!
if u still have problem with unlocking ..then go for My unlocking way
DISCLAIMER ..I'm not at all telling that above or any other ways of unlocking are wrong or not all working
3)My unlocking way[Requirements also]
I'm Having Redmi 3s..And the requirements is Same for all ..Except in recovery
First of all There's no need of Touch ur mobile..Let it be as it is
Like no removing of account/data/not turn of device/nor sync off .... Nothing At all
4)Procedure
Here's the Technique
Trick 1)
I Recomend to Do this All Process in Private/Incognito Browing ..
i)Create A New Mi Account [I Suggest Go for Any Private Browsing/Incognito Window ] And Sign's up...Verify Mobile/Email
ii)Log in to that account in mi forums And create a Nick name/or simply copy paste ur account id as nick name
iii)Don't Log out
iv)Go to this link http://www.miui.com/unlock/apply.php
[[Those who have Problem to open this page like "u r automatically redirected to Download page" Has to follow my recomendation in order that log out from ur previous accounts And clear ur browsing data of mi pages]]
Fill up the Forum..
In the description like ...[[i understand the risks of unlocking and i request to give me unlock permissions]] Like any thing u wish
verify phone via OTP ...if ur Account is verified and it says Proceesing And u receive a sms with in 10 days then u r Half Done
All U HAve to do Wait 2 Minimum Days.I Feel Sorry for that But A new account creation is neccesary in my trick [COZ i succeded in that]
After 2 days Check ur phone For SMS Like "You Have Been granted For permissions To unlock ur device .." Then Ur 75% Done
v) Simply Download this attachment
MiFlashUnlock_1.0.1225.2 IT IS OF CHINEESE VERSION
If the Download link is not working Inform me Or u can download Latest Mi FlashUnlock tool ..But i didn't test in that ..i guess it also works
vi)Run it as administrator / no need at all [[I'm just giving what i did]]
log in with the account which u CREATED PREVIOUS TIME AND APPLY FOR UNLOCK PERMISSIONS
vii) Connect ur device in fastboot mode..If u dont have fastboot drivers Install Mi flash tool lastest version ...if still problem persists Disable Driver Signature enforment in windows by follow up this tutorial http://en.miui.com/thread-237673-1-1.html
viii)If it shows unlock button then click on it..With in a second u r device is unlocked..then u r very luckiest guy in this world..else u'll see again ur old Friend error "Current account is different from Device info on this device..."
Mostly U wont get error ..COZ the main trick here is creating new accont get permissions and dont log in with that new account in any device except in mi flash unlock after getting permissions......Because of that account does not have any connected devices..And this trick only works for one new mail=one unlock...After that u'll get ur old friend error in chineese
Trick 2
I Feel Sorry That u didn't succeded in my first trick..Here's an another way for u
1)Again Create a new account Apply for permissions Dont log in to any device..after/before sms confirmation
Step 2)open only that Chinnese link i provided[[Run it as administrator ]]..Log in to that account
3)If u see unlock button immediatly Disconnect ur net Connect ur phone in fastboot then click on unlock button..u'll see an error of 0*500 something now connect to internet then again click on unlock button
u'll 100% unlock ur device ..
This Trick is a combination of my technique and other two senior members [above link ] in this forum
If u r busy guy like me and cant wait for another two days ..then try with the previously new account details as login details in step 2 ...but i cant assure u unlock may be 50-50 chances...
5)Proofs&Screenshots
Attachment is below
6)Bonus
1)At the time of mi account creation create two accounts and apply for permissions on both accounts it's saves time right..in case if u didn't succed in first trick
2)After the device is successfully unlocked download this TWRP and use this command in minimal adb/whatever u have
fastboot boot recovery.img
Copy the Code
to back up ur device with out system modifications
3)that file was not mine ..it belongs to another moderator.. And the recovery is of redmi 3s
4)Keep the system partition read only and backup the device ..might be useful at future
5)After backup u can flash the recovery ..u have the idea about remianing thing right !!!
7) CREDITS
All credits Goes for Mi forum moderators,Developers,And Everyone.

8) My Queries to Developers,Moderators,Anyone
Here's What i did.... before i have locked bootloader..i downloaded fastboot images put the device in edl mode and change the recovery file img to twrp img and rename it to recovery.img..And flash the All os files.. flashed successfully but still it shows stock recovery
that's why i'm wondering about that ..And i changed the boot file to twrp image .. it flashed the files succesfull But it stuck on mi logogo and lead me to qualocom diagonostic mode 900E Because of partioning mismatch [i guess ] luckily i'm having fastboot coz the flasher first flashes the bootloader and mbn files
i initiate fastboot oem edl command then i'm in edl mode and flashed the device to previous state ..After that i stopped the work it's a new phone guys [1 week ] i got feared
So my query is how it still can't boot into twrp recovery mode if it's flashed successfull in edl mode [i checked the log file ]
I guess because of encryption process of system partition after flashing ..so again what i did is after flashing the fles immediatly i boot on to recovery still the device automatically loops .. and start encryption
Thank u everyone...Sorry for the long post & if i did something wrong ..
Hope This can help many ..
Kindly notify me whether it succeeds or fails
Peace Out,,,,,,,,

I did not follow this method. I used the standard approach with one small deviation. I requested unlock and received it in 2 days. When I tried to use the miunlock tool it gave me an error about "Current account info is different...". I just waited for two weeks and tried again. Viola! It unlocked without any hassles. I think it just needs few days for the unlock approval to actually "migrates" to the account.

whr is d attachment[MiFlashUnlock_1.0.1225.2 ] bro ???
To all who had issues while tryin to unlock bootloader in Redmi 3S do the following
1. Enable developer mode by clicking on MIUI version in About phone
2. Inside developer mode ( ( within additional settings ) activate OEM unlocking and USB debugging
3. Remove all fingerprint stored, also remove any lockscreen patterns if any
4. Under OEM status there is MI Unlock status, click on activate device in that tab ( I don't remember specifically what the words are, as my phone is unlocked it just shows Unlocked)
5. Open MI Unlock version 1.1 , login using the same MI account details as in your phone and the froum
6. Turnoff phone, enter fastboot mode by pressing down arrow and powerbutton together
7. Connect phone using USB cable
8. In MI unlock tool it will show MI phone connected, proceed to unlock
:victory: Your phone will be unlocked

HI, I don't see any attachment from the OP,
please help, when I tried to unlock it said that the account is different from the one registered in phone. I cant boot to my phone now, only fastboot and it's locked
how solve "current account cannt unlock this device" problem
First of all thankyou very much Xiaomi for this!!!
Recently Xiaomi has released update for MIUI8 v8.1 2.
You can download it from its official website.
You should be logged in with you mi account in your phone.
I have already unlocked my redmi note 3 with same account so i did have the unlock approval for same account.
So i am not sure whether this will work without unlock bootloader approval.
No harm in trying.....
I was in Global stable rom v8.0.5
Steps:
Download the latest recovery rom v8.1.2 from the official website.
Save it in your internal memory in downloaded_rom folder.
Open updater app.
Select update pakage from menu.
It will update your rom to 8.1.2.
Nothing will erase by this.. All your files and apps will be there after update.
Once phone booted.. Go check the rom version in settings and then in about.
If its v8.1.2 then go to additional settings then developer option.
There you will see Mi unlock status go in it.
It will show locked.
at bottom you will see a button add account to unlock.
Press it, it will associate your Mi account to unlock bootloader request.
Download mi unlock tool.
Boot your phone into fastboot mode.
Login to your account in mi unlock tool and click unlock.
And you have Unlocked your bootloader.
Good news is unlocking bootloader does not erase your internal memory nor it formats your phone.
Enjoy!!!!!
I noticed and tried this earlier also but unfortunately have to report that it did not work. It was worded so that it seemed you didn't need unlock permission but you do.
But unlocking bootloader is already easy and totally legal. Why someone want to do like this way, instead of unlocking by better, easier way and supported by xiaomi?

This is the xiaomi way, it's just that in the new miui there is a screen in developer options that shows your unlock status. In there is a button that pairs your phone with your xiaomi account and then says to download unlock tool to unlock.
I tried it and it doesn't work without unlock permission. It's just a link to the unlock tool. However I think you need to add your phone from here to your account for unlock to work the "normal" way.

Yes, you are right.
You need unlock permissions.
You need unlocktool
You need to bind the phone to the account with unlock permissions (via developer options is 1 way, you can also simply login to MI account via Accounts)
Not working linking account to device in Dev Options

my advice is that you should unlock it officially

its more than a week for me , getting permissions..still I'm not able to unlock the bootloader ! Its like Xiaomi is forcing to stay on MiUi
Be sure you have:
1) added your mi account to accounts on your phone
2) enabled "OEM unlock" in developer settings
3) a miui dev rom

Try this if you have not found it yet in other post.
In About menu, unlock the developer mode. by clicking the MIUI version 7 times
Then go to Additional settings > Developer Options > Tap on Mi Unlock Status
Tap the only one button in this menu - to associate you Mi account to the phone.
Back to developer option,
Enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging.
Tested on MIUI 8 Global Developer Rom
Good luck

I done every possible steps but nothing is happening! the bootloader unlock process always getting stuck at 99% and Account Bound error is coming on the PC and on the phone, "86012:*****" error showing on 'settings-additional settings-dev option-Mi Unlock status'.
I tried with 2 different Mi phone/account.
done with i.mi.com stuffs and find device, tried FlyVPN but there is no server of 'Shanghai"... etc!
Nothing is happeneing! I am a beta tester of MIUI 9 China, and see, i couldn't even unlock the bootloader yet! Wow! What a thing! Its been a week and so, still my bootloader is locked.
No help from Xiaomi.
I need a promising way to unlock. so help me.
See, I have unlocked three RN4 devices, none without the wait.
Had to wait 6-7 days for each one of them. There has been no luck for me in doing anything other than wait for 6-7 days after getting the permission.
But then, maybe something might work out for you.
The steps I tried or know of:
1. Being on the developer ROM is a must. Chances of unlocking bootloader from global stable MIUI are very slim.
2. Use old Mi Unlock tool. A quick google will land you there.
3. Don't change the accounts in the phone. You should be logged in with the account you got permission in.
4. Go to developer options and check "USB Debugging", "OEM Unlock" and one more option something sort of "USB Debugging Security".
5. Try to bind the account. It will yield a response with some code and Chinese text. Ignore it.
6. Use the original cable and use the ports on the back of the CPU.
7. Keep "Find my device" turned on. And log in to your account in your desktop and try locating your phone.
8. Now try unlocking.
I followed all the above steps I could find out from anywhere and I was able to do it.
In your case I do think you are either not in the developer build or you need to use the old Mi tool.

Thank you, Sir. I have tried the official method for the past seven days, but it gets stuck on 99% Account not bound to this device. That's why I searched for other methods.
Also, I am never going to flash MIUI ROM on my device again. Could the unofficial method still be a problem?

As you have official permissions first try to perform these steps & try unlocking :
> Locate device using MI cloud (find device) https://i.mi.com/
> check if the mail , phone are linked to your MI account
> Enable OEM unlocking & bind MI account with your device in developer options
> Download this https://mega.nz/#F!iQVFTB5Z!elmzC8piy8PukrOxiXHDFw connect the device to pc turned on - go to developer options & revoke USB debugging authorizations - now enable USB debugging - open cmd from the folder which you've downloaded - type adb devices ( hit enter button) - if it displays daemon started on port xxxx - you'll get a pop up on mobile ... accept it - disable pattern lock, num lock, etc delete fingerprints - now try unlocking logging in with a mobile number if it fails then email id & finally with mi account number.
Also make sure to wait for a week to unlock officially.
If everything fails you can proceed to unlock unofficially & remove ****UI from your phone.

Unlock unofficially, you'll be safe as long as you use custom roms

Okay, Sir. I'd just like to point out the fact that I noticed one thing mentioned on that thread. It is specifically for Kate (Redmi Note 3 Special Edition) while my device is a plain Redmi Note 3 Kenzo with 2GB Ram and Hexa Core SnapDragon.
I think this might be a problem since that .mbn file mentioned on that page belongs to a different variant.
Can you please point me to the correct thread? Or a method that uses .mbn file to unlock bootloader on my device?
