Hellow everybody! 4 days ago I got the screen I ordered from ebay and I have a big problem! I installed the screen on the phone, and the phone was booting up, the touch screen worked I could sense the lock screen when I touched it but nothing! Also the phone was burning! after noumerous tries , the screen finally worked the next day! But one day after , it had the same problem! Now the screen is black since two days ago! Any help! I tried repairing with pc companion, but the screen still remains black!!
Since you installed it yourself, you maybe made a mistake during install, something wrong got connected or something.
You said, that phone heated up. Some connections could have melted or even some chips.
xperia mini pro
The phone worked for a day before repairing. And it didnt worked for two days berfore repair, after it had worked!!
Does it work now or not?
Yes it works , the touch screen works i can feel it by sliding the lock button.
But it remains black, i heard sound about the battery. so the phone works but the screen remains black.
Seems like connection issue between mainboard and the screen. You mentioned getting warm - could have been too hot for the connections.

No I've trying installing the screen many times , but the heat was coming from a single part of the motherboard , i opened the phoned and touched it! It was burnig hot! Now there is no heat , the phone boots up, i can sense the lock sliding when I move it (vibration) but i cant see anything!!! It worked for day perfect! The first morning , heated for some time , but it work after ten minutes for a whole day with no problem! the next day i went to the cafe of the village and connected to the internet by wi-fi connection, when I left, the problem started again ! And the phone is working , as I mentioned before, but the screen isn't viewing anything!
Hi . i bought an Xperia Z2 2 weeks ago . i've been sinking and washing this phone in the bathroom with no problem .
But , today i went to a mountain river with about 19 celsius of its fresh water temperature . I submerged the phone and took a few photos with it . Unfortunately , after 2 minutes . the phone just went off just like a dead phone .
Quickly , i go to my bag and wipe the phone from wetness . After a few hours , i try to turn it on
i noticed there is NO WATER in the camera lens . Also i press the power button , but there is no response .
How is this SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN to a water-PROOF phone ? Does Anyone has a solution for this ? Please help . :/
P;s : Actually , back 2 months ago , i bring my Sony Xperia Tablet Z to this river . Taking photos and videos with no problem . But this problem has made me unconfident with the Xperia Z2 ... is the Tablet Z more tougher taking life throws at it more than Xperia Z2 ?
P:S2 :- Before i took photos at the river , i type *#7378423*#*#at the keypad > service test > pressure sensor ' to make sure the flaps were firmly closed . The test passed and i really sure that the phone is sealed . It makes me thought , does the cold temperature makes the phone shuts down ?
Thanks for reading my thread
Fresh water makes things easier and more likely that your phone will be fine, wrap in towel and leave on radiator turned off for a few days, or in a bowl of rice, or in the sun, whatever your preferred method is to dry it out. I've rescued countless phones that have been dropped in the drink doing this. The faster you do it the better though
EDIT: Oh and as to how it happened, a) flaps weren't closed or don't seal properly (clean out the ridges, dirt can stop it sealing properly) b) there's a defect in a seal somewhere else, front/back glass etc...
sorry for hear that were the flaps closed properly? because i also have submerged my z2 in freezing like water and no probs, and also how long did you submerge it for? did you try soft resetting the phone? (do it only if no option or remedies dont work), open the simcard/usb flap and you will see a small red switch, press and hold for like 10-15seconds and it will reset the phone
Thanks for replying guys @gihan798114 and MR.Rtm .. Yes the flap was closed properly . There were no signs of water gone inside (the camera lens was OK , no condensation ) but right now im dipping my phone into a basket of rice to make sure the water didn't got inside . i also tried to connect to a charger . Weird results i got though , when the device connected to a magnetic charger , the notification doesn't light up but when im connecting it to USB cable , the notification led light up to red , like the battery was 0% .. weirdest problem i faced with Xperia Z series .. lol
yes keep it in rice for a few days and try charging and see if the led color changes
I have an Xperia Ray Running on LX CM13.1.
One day capacitive touch buttons started showing ghost touch continuously. I then restarted and capacitive buttons stopped working.
I then activated onscreen buttons and some days later they started showing ghost touch continuously. I then restarted device and that part of screen also stopped working.
With in a fews days ghot touch spreaded up and finally bottom half part of touchscreen stopped working.
I tried hard formatting and even I flashed stock firmware but didnt fix the issue.
As I know it is a hardware issue, Will I have to replace my entire display?
Display part is working properly but touch is irresponsive.
Thanks
It seems like the Ray has the display stuck to the glass/digitizer with LOCA adhesive, so yeah, you need to replace the complete assembly, unless you find some service center where... Nah it's not worth the hastle lol.
I replaced my Mini Pro's display a bunch of times. It's sad to see a perfectly working LCD display go just because of a broken glass/digitizer.
Hello. There is a problem with my phone - I got a couple of water inside. It seems that protetion cap leaks, and I didnt find out this in time. I have smoked rear camera and damaged screen (it got kind of watermark on the background). Everything else works. It happened more than 24 hours ago, idk, I used hairdryer, I left it in rice for 6 hours, I also I left it with opened caps and removed SD and SIM. Camera still gets smoked at the street, but, when I am at home, it's okay. Screen doesn't get fixed at all. Who can advice something in this situation? I need to stay with Z2 a bit more, I thought that I could wait until Sony get RAW and OIS in the phones, but Z2 started to break earlier.
P.S I dont want to replace screen, because I want to get replacement in general (I dont like Z2's camera).
Last time I encountered this with my old Xperia Z, I opened all the flaps and left it under a hair dryer and a small vacuum cleaner over night and the problem is fixed.
I have a sony Xperia z2. Bought it a year ago, everything worked fine for 11 months. One day i was using my phone and suddenly the screen went haywire. On further inquiring i realized it suffers from ghost toughes. I enabled the show touches option to give me the exact idea where the ghost touches appear on screen. There's something strange about it, only 2 ghost touches appear on the top right side of the screen, BUT WHEN I SWITCH OFF MY SCREEN AND SWITCH IT BACK ON THE SCREEN BECOMES RESPONSIVE FOR 5-6 SECONDS. Then ghost touches appear again. I have TRIED everything, formated, restarted, changed screen guard, cleaned the screen, changed the charger, did a software repair procedure suggested by sony. I really really really need help, I'd really appreciate it if someone tells me how to fix this issu. Thank you.
