Hello guys,
I am on MIUI 7.8.24 and I am getting a notification from Google Playstore to disable Viper4arise because it's a harmful app.
Has anyone seen this notification before?
What should I do?
How do I silence this type of notification specifically without affecting other notifications from the Playstore?
Hi,
I see the same message. Don't know what I should do.
Go to play store, above "configs" there is "play protect"
enter it and disable scanning

Is there a way to stop notifications for one app? Disabling Play Protect will disable scanning for all apps!

I've had the basic 'email' and 'exchange services' apps disabled for a long time because all I've used is gmail since the beginning. (done via either rooted phone disable originally, or now just manage apps and disable, no root required) Now I have a reason to use them and while I can click 'enable' on exchange services, the email app is listed in the disabled section but the button on it says 'disable' still as if it was functional to start with..
What's the deal and how can I un-stick it?
I'm still working on this and haven't been able to make much headway. I've also found that I can't install the google keyboard because it errors out saying 'already exists'.
Any helpful information welcome.
I am using the "autostarts" app to modify the autostart and events hooks. I notice that there are some nasty apps that simply revert the settings when they are run. The Amazon Appstore for example sets a call under "Time Changed" that triggers the app (and network traffic). When I try to disable this call in autostarts it gets re-enabled the next time I manually run Appstore again. Is there a way to revoke an apps ability to modify autostarts ? If this can only solved with another app, then preferrably something (ad)free and open source.
I am using privacy guard, but even with all options disabled Appstore still meddles with my autostart settings.
My System: Cyanogenmod 10.2 on a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini.
tnx Mark
Sometimes after installing or updating an app from the Play Store, a popup with the following text appears:
Enjoy your app! If you ever forget your password, we can help you restore access to your Google Play library and purchases. Tap "Continue" to tell us how to contact you.

I'd disable the Email app, but there were frequent popups telling me is crashes. So I just leave it enabled instead. Also I am aware what the Wireless Emergency Alerts is supposed to be about. It's not illegal per se to disable it, is it?lol
Well guys, you're free to add on to this list if you got anything else. STOP THE BLOATWARE INVASION!
Awesome... Now others can add their suggestions and we can keep the OP updated as we go.
Wireless emergency app will let you disable the Amber alerts, so you can keep the severe weather alerts going.
We might find a dev that is familiar with Verizon bloat and they may be able to help figure out what apps are and do, and what is safe to remove.
How to do this? pm command through adb? Or any app can help?
It is kind of weird since you can't do it through the launcher. Go to settings > application manager. Then swipe over to all to view all installed and system apps. Select them individually and disable them.

Hello.
I'm trying to understand how to write a Greenify prescription.
My main use would be to try annoying promotion notification which can't be turned off.
My current knowledge would be that an app registers with Google Play Services to use FCM, which fires a broadcast data containing notification data to an app's receiver, then the app uses the received broadcast to display the notification.
Is it possible to deregister a specific FCM using app from Google Play Services so maximum amount of battery is conserved?
If it is not possible, how do one find a broadcast to target with prescription? for example, if a notification is shown on the notification shade, will it contain any clues to which receiver is to be targeted?
Thank you bery much.
Do I need to use Greenify or there is an open source alternative to Greenify to achieve the same thing?

For how to write prescription: https://greenify.github.io/
Notification can be disabled either for the whole app or for a specific channel.
FCM may post notification on behalf of the app if app is not active, so blocking the broadcast may not work as expected.
